And mod osborne said that at the same time she said it. He was doing a livestream in the same room as ana and at the same time ana was doing the ama :) Well Hew is Osborne's boss I believe, and he said they're hoping for this year. So it seems like a definite "possibly"

It's behaving more like All class instead of Hybrid. For all we know, maybe it's just the Tokkul-Zo that isn't working properly :P EDIT: I see what you mean now. Looks like Tokkul-Ko is bugged. I tested a few other All class items (Legends Cape, Barrows Gloves), Hybrid class (warpriest), they do not exhibit this behavior. The math: http://services.rune...647,1,326608051 BASE = Level ^ 3 / 1250 + 4 * Level + 40 NPC Accuracy = 2.7 * BASE hitchance = ( accuracy * Penalty ) / ( Armor * Multiplier) Multiplier = (Strongarmor * 2.25 + neutralarmor * 1.65 + weakarmor * 1.2 ) / ( strongarmor + neutralarmor + weakarmor) Monster accuracy: 100 Combat = 50 Attack 2.7 * BASE(50) = 918 Monster Accuracy Tokkul is being classed as strongarmor against all classes: 1214 Armour Rating Multiplier = ( 1 * 2.25 + 0 * 1.65 + 0 * 1.2 ) / (1+0+0) = 2.25 hitchance = 918 * 100% / ( 1214 * 2.25) = 33.6% blockchance = 1 - 33.6% = 66.4% For Warpriest legs: 1461 Armour Rating Multiplier = (1 * 2.25 + 1 * 1.65 + 0 * 1.2) / (0+1+0) = 1.65 hitchance = 918 * 100% / (1461 * 1.65) = 38.1% blockchance = 61.9% For Dragon Legs: 1461 Armour Rating Multiplier: 2.25 / 1.65 / 1.2 hitchance = 918 * 100% / (1461 * 1.65) = 38.1% hitchance = 918 * 100% / (1461 * 2.25) = 27.9% hitchance = 918 * 100% / (1461 * 1.2) = 52.4% Block chance vs melee: 61.9% Block chance vs ranged: 72.1% Block chance vs magic: 47.6% Yea, thats what I thought hybrid was...no strengths, no weaknesses. I do agree that 15 levels is harsh though. Ok, so the main issue is that its not worth using, not that its actually broken.

How is it broken? I've only really read a bit about it.

If anything, I'd think the swordbow would be more possible to do now. Its damage would be maybe 10-15 levels below its normal tier because it could use both mellee and range abilities. They've already set up hybrid armours, hybrid weapons seems like a good next step.

I could see them making 6 now if they also have Halloween and Christmas quests. They seemed to be trying to get Missing Presumed Death out before Christmas. Mod Stu also mentioned that the delay of RS3 gave him a few extra months to polish Death of Chivalry so it may be that many of the delays did push back the other quests.

Amadyl is a glorified avianse, but I am still interested in seeing how well they'll make him. The concept of bandos is seen in the motion comic and he will be huge much like how sara and zam look, but probably with more girth and goblins crawling on him. They said before that Bandos' look is different than the motion comic look for him.

I really loved the puns with the Sonde family. Sir Owen Sonde, Altra Sonde and Stario Sonde. Overall I thought the quest was much better than the original.

Behind The Scenes - August 2013
Same, Kaida. I know some people really seem to hate the sig heroes, but I think the add to the world and have a lot of potential. I'd love to be able to recruit Sir Owen to Zaros. There's a Zarosian altar is Fally castle already so wouldn't need to change much. I don't think theres anything wrong with the signature heroes now they are getting some decent content, I did however have a distaste for them before because they seemed to be npcs just put in game and casually thrown in to some content simply for the sake of going look continuity between marketing and the game! I just hope Xeina, Lynsa and the Raptor can have some good quests that truly centre of them soon. Lynsa would make a lot of sense for a Knight's Sword rework. Shield of Arrav rework would be nice to get rid of that ever slightly awkward you need a 2nd person thing and could perhaps offer a role for Xeina in helping you get the other half; heck could even be a her centric quest to kind of amp up the grandeur of the shield and make it so she just needs some inexperience noob to get the other half for her. In the vein of 'fixing' characters as well I'd like to see the whole Camelot, Merlin and attached quests redone. Camelot is just so out of place in Runescape, especially since they removed Romeo and Juliet and there's so much potential for a very Runescapian lore-rich rework keeping loosely to the existing plot and structures. Given the Temple of Ikov and such you could even make it a sort of Armadyllian place that would fit in with the themes or chivalry and justice and offer a good excuse for some knights to be there. Doesn't even have to be sort of overtly Armadyl could just have like structural nods in the decor and stuff and it's an order of knights that has always protected the place but kinda doesn't really know why anymore. And the retrieval of the holy grail (obviously changed to something else) would offer a sort of comedic nod to the fact the remaining Armadyllians (assume this is a 5th age quest) are a bit useless when it comes to keeping stuff (ergo they lost the staff and they had lost access to the sky fortresses now used for clan citadels) And it'd leave a nice setup to come back to with 6th age content to unravel just what exactly it was orignal there for. I like those ideas a lot. I feel like xenia's blood pact quest was a good intro for her, the way she kind of ushered you through that of course fits better for lower levelled players but fits her character. I can kind of see why they aren't reworking camelot, Its multiple quests and has a relatively decent fanbase, plus has been part of rs for a long time. They got a lot of heat for removing Romeo and Juliette which was just a small quest. However I think if they put the same detail they put into the sig hero reworks it could be great....just don't make it another Demon Slayer.

Yea, while the list hit a lot of the major points, the author seemed to read into a few places what they wanted to hear instead of what was actually said.

Mod Dylan is currently working on the next Elemental Workshop quest (from what I heard this is wrong. He was just saying that Mod Dylan has extensive notes on what he wants to happen with the quest. He didn't actually say its in development.) The beam between Saradomin and Zamorak at the Battle of Lumbridge will change in upcoming weeks. (This one he just said it will change when the event ends but other than that he really doesn't know much about BOL)

It's a permanent bonus by the look of it, so the bonus is probably the reward and not exp in that case. Kind of like you can spend tokens on dunge exp or you can get one of the scrolls...throw the energy into the vortex for exp or make something from it.

Don't forget for summoning, they released eggs before the skill even came out, I remember people camping vultures and stuff. Was a bit disappointing when it turned out you only really needed 1 of them since they were for pets.

See, you seem to be able to accept that the old and unpolished quest can fit into the game world in its own right, as a gaggy and simple quest (a la Bacon). On the other hand, Jagex can't, which is why Demon Slayer became some weird underbudgeted abortion. There was a bit of humour, but not too much. Overall if they leave in some of the humour I feel the quest will be better for the lore additions and such. I love most of the quests but this one was just sub-par. I do hate what they did to Demon Slayer, but I think Demon Slayer had a lot more to it than Black Knights Fortress.

I don't get why they're replacing an old (classic) quest with an up-to-date one. I suppose the reason is likely to be “quality control” – and it’s probably premature of me to judge at this point, but why not simply make it an entire new quest and let us enjoy both of them? Not that I mind, really – I’ve just always enjoyed doing quests and would rather see “more” of them than “less”, as it were … I recently created a new account. Replayed Black Knights Fortress....it wasn't good. Its short, extremely light on lore, storywise its bare-bones, and takes maybe 5 minutes if you already have the items.

I assumed that would be the Sliske quest "Missing, Presumed Death" that would include Icthlarin too. I doubt they'd make a quest that would be completely trashed if the world event changed things, and if they did I doubt they'd announce it in case it had to be scrapped. We haven't really had any evidence or lore that shows us why he is a positive influence on Gielinor yet. I'd put him in the same boat as Saradomin, Bandos, and Zamorak in that we really haven't been given much (if any) content that paints them in a positive light since the start of the Sixth Age. I disagree on them not showing Zamorak in any sort of positive light. Moia's self-esteem was absolutely destroyed by her father, Lucien, who treated her like dirt. Now she's confident and one of the chief generals for a god due to Zamorak. They also showed that Zamorak actually has a purpose behind the chaos and isn't just destroying things for no reason. He's trying to spur growth through chaos and adversity. I'm still Zarosian and unless my lord grants him a pardon he must die, but I do believe the book of the gods gave him a bit more of a positive spin.

      Please for the love of everything holy, in the name of every God imaginable in RS and otherwise, please... Jagex just please for once, listen to the players and do this. Especially Linza, that self-righteous smithing [bleep]. Thurgo will always be the master... Forever <3: Swear I must be the only one that likes the sig heroes. The rune mysteries rework was 2 of my top 10 quests and prince ali rescue reworks were great too.

I would not mind a reset on any of those, but I'm not sure how much work it would be for them to code it. We however do know that they already have the code to provide ring resets.
-
Your Ideas Needed!
The original reset was based on people not researching a purchase before committing, just as all my examples were, and is the only reason we are considering resets as a real possibility and not a hypothetical situation now. Rings were not broken or worded poorly when EoC was released, they were merely changed, and like group vengeance and chaotics, they are not as useful anymore. Jagex messed up with the original ring descriptions (which the original reset fixed). They claimed they worked in a way they didn't and many people spent tokens on something they didn't want. EoC's ring changes were 100% planned and are working as intended. There is simply nothing to fix. Group venge still works similar to how it did before, the only reason chaotics aren't as valuable as before is because higher level weapons were released which was foreseeable. If anything Jagex completely changing the mechanics of the rings is more of a reason for a reset than before, at least the first time you could research it to find out what the effect really was.

I agree fully. However, making a choice and dealing with the consequences is one of the ideals I look for in a video game, not a problem. Then where is my reset for group vengeance? It's now a shadow of it's former self. Where is my sell option for poh steel dragon? Aquanite task unlock? Ice strykwyrm kills without firecape? Remove option for toolbelted dragon hatchet and pickaxe? Hazeel cult (only way to get mark of Hazeel is taking the evil side)? Hell, where is my sell option for chaotics? I bought a bunch of them and now have 2/3 level 90 weapon sets. I want my tokens back because the thing I paid for has become obsolete. In my opinion, offering do overs for these would cheapen them. Steel dragons would not be impressive if you could just sell them like castlewars rewards for full price. I'd have a house full of them right now, and combined they would mean less than the single one I have. On the contrary, I can, and plan to use this reset if it comes. However, if I step back and look at the big picture, resets look like a mistake. Everythingyou listed up above could be planned ahead for. None of those is obsolete because Jagex changed the mechanics of how they work. If Jagex decided that Ice Strykewyrms never need a firecape to kill anymore, then I would support a reset for that. If Jagex decided to drop chaotics stats to lower than rune, then I would support a refund. The things you listed were changes that were based upon decisions where you had a reasonable ability to foresee what would happen. People who paid for the ring upgrades had no reasonable way to foresee that Jagex would completely overhaul the combat and change what they did.

Although I disagree that this is all that big of a negative, its the first real argument against it that I've seen. If its possible then its always an option. Ring resets are an even better option than rollbacks because they don't effect anyone negatively. They also don't require the massive amount of work that returning lost items does with checking each account. No, sorry I really do think you are mistaken in this context. No, I don't think he is. Who would a ring reset have effected negatively? How would it have required a massive amount of work? Ring resets would be fine if they were there from the beginning and functioned essentially the same as selling items back to a shop or something to balance it. However, they're currently being used as a do over for people who've spent their tokens unwisely or to counteract a change in the game which change the value of a commodity the player has purchased. To answer your question, players who make bad decisions outside of dg are being affected negatively as dgers are given a free ride while they must walk. This is not me wanting an eye for an eye, this is about consistency. Either let me reset fist of guthix tokens, tokkul, runecrafting guild tokens, runespan points, barbarian assault honor points and all other currencies, or let people deal with their purchases just like it's always been. As for the amount of work, I'm pretty sure that he was referring to the fact that he doesn't agree on it being a good idea in general. Wow hes done it again :D. Yes, exactly, again, what I see is the case. They aren't resetting my livid farm points either... The attitude that you must be able to fix every problem or you shouldn't fix any is ridiculous. Jagex should fix any problems that arise if the fix causes no harm and its easy to implement. Tokkul, gop tokens, fog tokens and many others would be harder to code for because you can spend them on tradeable items, and therefore might be too resource intensive to implement. It seems more like you're complaining that it shouldn't be done just because it won't benefit you personally. Edit: It's not that I don't support item returns or being able to get a refund on other currencies, its just that many of them by their very nature make it hard to do so when you bring tradeable items and the larger economy into it.
