  1. 6/10. The snowy hills have that thick black border... The overal detail is average, a bit 2 pixel looking... It's a bit plain and boring.. The text needs some serious work... Pinguins are ok :) Dude is pretty funny. Keep it up

Ehi that's realy easy to do...maybe the idea was cool but come on...that looks like a cut&paste. No try to make the char fit RS graphics and no tries to make it fit the background...he's like twice as tall as he should be...However funny idea.
  3. -100/10 ... you wrote pl0z...omg...pl0z !!! other than that...i go with the 5/10s...
  4. It's nice to see my home Country name displayed in such a sig... What puzzles me is why ? What or who are you trying to make fun of ? I personaly don't plan to read the above brainburning posts...
  5. What jeppoz said, though jeppoz * is tumbs :P :?: I miss the second part of your sentence :P
  6. Ugh..if it's a pixel sig, why does the program matter? I hate when people ask that... Hey Ryan, still here i see :) Nice. Well...the flame columns from the vulcanos don't realy smell like pixel to me...more or less like the brother story  Yet in most of cases that kind of request should be answered with a nova missile :) (from a Raist's post) about the shading i don't realy think you can teach him much :P
  7. You have a pretty nice pixel there. Congrats :) You still have to work on the 3rd dimension (including shading, character width and Bg) Yet your level of detail is impressive for the board average. Good luck finding some1 :)
  8. *faints* This sig might look correct if you'r under a trip of some kind... I personaly don't like slimy houses and flat flowing items. Sorry but i suggest you try harder on a piece before posting it... You can either name this WIP or, better, lock it in your hd and release a better version. Plus , as pointed out above, that's not realy a pixel sig. Tumbs down. Keep trying.
  9. Good luck with your new "business" :) I suggest you don't start with poor outlines, then add colors and fill in the details as last step cause imo the final result is usualy a bit crappy this way. I think you should make a basic outline just to find out how to set up your screen, then go for a deeper detail and at last, add the colors, first filling with the most common for that area, then refining it for shadows/highligths :) Have fun :)
  10. It's nice to see some freehand sigs...only thing is you should reaaaaly work on the details...the fast linework and filling strokes give it a grunge and unfinished taste i personaly don't like in a freehand drawing unless it's made on porpose with some realy classy tecnique, that you don't use... Body proportsions and position should be studied a bit harder and a border, make it freehand if you can, surely will help. Junk the brushed version cause it's realy bad (due to the low detail of the original + loss of textures when you brush that way) and ruins the above style.
  11. Don't call them pixel sig...They'r brushed / photoshopped with pixel outlines... Other than that all i can say is keep up the good work, i kinda like the pretty unique style you'r developing, plus last sig is very well designed/colored (but the popping up mountains that needed some more work).
  12. I have an issue with serious human faces  Thx for you Comments , Zim and MrX :)
  13. Dam man.. First off, i LOVE your texture work. However, this sig i don't like that much from you. I can't realy put my finger on it, but i've just seen better from you. I mean, everything is VERY nicly done, but the idea just didn't meet your standards of good ideas :D This isn't supposed to be an humoristic one, due to the lack of humor i found in these days maybe...so since going that way with some kind of enjoyment from me wasn't possible i went for a "serious" looking one, playing on the tech side instead of the humor/concept one. I prefer funny ones myself, tho if you'r not in the mood you realy can't find something worth the hours, if you get what i mean. Moreover i realy worked on this for long, in sparetimes, breaking the work so many times it was hard to bring on a good hilarous concept along the weeks. Plus i also like to do something serious sometimes and had this "scene" in my mind for a while :).
  14. Granite shield...awesome against rangers so...time to change gear...something like that ;)
  15. Ok i've been away from these boards for a long time due to RL problems but here i am...put a lot of time/effort in this one...hope you like it :)
  16. Tracing a photo isn't actualy ripping...the copyright expires in this situation since you don't alter/modify/use parts of an image but simply emulate it yourself obtaining a different result. The reason why he traced was to achieve a nice result drawing a body that for angle and position might have been hard to do... Even if i somehow started the whole thing i'm personaly not "offended" by his work. It's not illegal according to my opinion and the only thing i could say to him is...(as i told him in a pm) don't stop to traced lines but work hard on changing/reshaping those lines, adding details and elements to the original traced lines, and of course work on a good texture enviroment for it...the result is you'll have something totaly yours in the drawing, based on a body position you've been inspired from...Getting inspiration from reality (and photos are somehow reality itself) isn't that bad for an art work...and nothing to be ashamed of... I personaly don't think this thread was necessary...however you earned some rispect for such decision, at least from me. PS: You can also trace Da Vinci's Mona Lisa , but if you can't draw...no matter what tecnique you use, the result will be awfull...so if you liked that sig before...now you know it was traced...does it realy change things ? think about it...
  17. way too big for these boards.... Yet pretty nice...
  18. Welcome back Zim, and good luck finding a partner your same level
  19. I might be wrong...but a pixel outline with brushed filling isn't pixel work. All i can see here is that. It hasn't a pixel look at all. Clouds , waves and grass show some brushed work that i personaly don't like that much. Again i might be wrong but yet i don't think you coloured it pixl by pixel as such kind of heavy gradients need if done in pixel. The foreground guy looks traced from somewhere else, i'm not saying it is, it might, but the problem is that the odd shading, weird angle and black lines make it look like it is, showing a lack of work spent on it. There's nothing bad tracing some nice "pose" if that helps you get your desired effect, just, if you save time there, work hard on some kick-bip- texturing and detail cover. The bg is kinda flat and boring and should need a lot of work (more complex bg elements, correctly designed waves, more interesting horizon ....) yet the overall look of the sig isn't bad at all, just not pixel imo. Edit : Oh one more thing, if you can't avoid black lines, at least refine the lines so that they are as slim as possible (that means unless the lines are vertical and horizontal, make pixel touch on their corners, not on the whole sides, and try to work on the optimal pixel angles for nicer results) Edit2: As far as now that sig can't be used on these boards...i suppose your removing the left 50 pxls on delivery ? :?:
  20. I had the idea before eheh... http://img126.exs.cx/img126/8125/tradingcard.jpg (the pic is a photomanip of course) made this and posted on another board of tif several months ago... Still no prob lol, keep them going eheh...i find them cute...if you put a bit more work on the card design :) Bg have to be less busy...
  21. I'm staying on pixel for a while more...don't worry... However it's not a matter of practice only. Still gotta see me trying to do something nice with the right amount of time and will :P
  22. I used stock models more to lack of time (should have reinstalled 3dstudioMax and wasted some time on it due to the 1 year inactivity on real life object modeling)...rendered it myself. And again it was just a quick try...but since it didn't come out that bad i posted it for a bit of c&c even if i mainly knew myself where the probs are :).
  23. I gave it for free to a friend till i can make her a pixel one... Will be free in like 2 weeks i think ? :) @ Azvi : I wanted the sword to look old, dusty and rusty...so i didn't use any reflective texture...but i'll try adding some highlight maybe. Actualy the map is brushed, not textured, not a huge work but ended up pretty well i think.
  24. it's out of the limits... But it's an owned sig afterall... worth a resize :)
