I agree. Jagex could have taken upgradeable weapons and armor to the next step. They introduced the upgradeable wands, and okay, thsoe were decent. But how many people use those? not many. If jagex had made the dragon squares upgradeable it would have not only increased the price of left half drops (which at its current price of like 250k, isnt that much for a dragon drop) it would have opened a window of opertunity to introduce upgradeable weapons and armor. currently we have wands, daggers, and spears (which can be poisoned). currently, not many people use spears, except for dragon durring castle wars. so with 2 decent upgradeable items, and only one of them that is being used to a higher potential, i think jagex messed up.

naz bought for 25 (ish), and ive seen many people on forums giving up 25-30m for a shield. I say you got the better deal, mainly because red masks are rising in price. or they did a few 100k since i last checked.

I have no desire to train strength right now, but when i did it was dscim with slayer, dharoks at shadow warriors/monky guards, or pc. I hated pc, but it was pretty decent xp. right now the only way im getting any str xp is by switching from whip on def to dds for special on slayer tasks, then switching back after i use all 4 specials.

I would absolutely love a new banking system. Currently the one we have now is either a jumble of everything, organize and 1 day later its wrecked, or buy doubles for everything. a new banking system could and will make a lot of people happy, me being one of those people. its possible that they will do it, however, I dont know when. I wish its tomorrow :(

a few of my friends were talking about rpg's like FF. a friend said something about runescape and said it was really stupid. i asked what the website was, he told me. i started playing and got hooked.

I think I have heard this somewhere else. another forum, from a friend, something, but I thought it was a good idea. Basically it would consist of fencing off banks, in which to get get in, you type in a randmo selection of letters, numbers, etc. Basically the same thing as fatigue in classic, and when you slept, you had to type in the little word thing. negative: when trying to train woodcutting, or another skill which involves banking multiple times it could get quite annoying. a way of fixing this is having it at randmo times, like 10 banks and you have to enter the word, 3 more, then 25 more, then 7, etc. it would stop the autoers from banking because its a randomized word that they arent able to sense.

Oh, i forgot herblore. I only train it if i get from random drops.

Runecrafting, thieving, and agility. in my opinion, these 3 skills are maybe not that hardest to level, but definatly the most annoying. runecrafting gives very very minimal xp, thieving requires so much attention, and agility just gets boring.

to drop trade 50m and a phat so the pure can start out staking witha lot of money? I like being wealthy. it gives me support on goals, instead of having dreams. I still have 'dreams' for runescape, but if i didnt have money, i would have a lot more of them, rather than having goals I know i can achieve, and achieving something is always good.

its not like a combat triangle is needed. very very little do you see anyone with only 1 type of outfit on them, or 1 type of pker in a group. EX: you dont see someone in full torags at level 45 wilderness with no hides, and you dont see a group of only rangers (most of the time) without someone in a mele outfit or with runes on them. i do understand that there are people who go out in rune legs, fighter torso, neit helm, and stay at level 5 without hides. However, most of the time these are pures. the combat triangle has evolved so much to the point at which people will carry 2 types of combat with them, in which case makes fighting mostly a line segment now.

88+ dry runs at barrows. on the 89th run, i get dharok legs (600k) oh well, it was a start. after that, ive gotten multiple items over 1-2m range, as well as my 2nd spear. so it all worked out.

retrieves as in after you shoot with an arrow, or it is picked up off the ground by chance like it does randomly with steel arrows, bars, arrow tips, etc? this si a quote from the runescape knowledge base so if you meant to ask if the accumulator retrieves your arrows after being fired from your bow, the answer would be yes, unless jagex forgot to code it or something like that.

im sure if jagex wanted to, they could make slayer tasks act like a ring of wealth :P but im not sure, ive had some tasks where i came out 200kgp richer from about 150 killed, and the in some tasks i have come out with a few runes and 20k gp. it all just depends. I think its random, but i guess we will never know. i guess im going to have to do my next iron/steel dragon task instead of burthoping. i think i even have some anti-fires...

I made some summer goals on my clan forums. i can pretty much just copy and paste that here i guess. there are some coding errors because our clan uses a different forum style i guess, so = a big long line. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, here we go again. the only brothers that actually need praying on are dharok and karil. I have 83 defence, and karil hits 20's on me constantly if i dont have prayer on. if you start out your runs with dharok first, then karil, you should be fine not praying on the rest.

I have no idea what the author of this thread is talking about. if you have to complain about 99 magic being "weak" you have an issue with useing your levels to their advantage. 1) learn how to mage. Magic is based on being able to cast from far away. this allows others to become suprised. You can freeze, cast shadow spells and smoke spells to reduce attack levels and poison them, freeze again, and go in for the kill. how hard is that? it may not be practical, but hell, at least i know what to do in theory. tactics are what magic is about. mele is about brunt force. mele doesnt really have tactics other than when to use specials. range is about hitting fast, but in low numbers (or slow and in high numbers, as the dbow has shown us). its all about tactics. you need to learn them before you complain. 2) magic is weak? i think not. the lunar spellbook definatly can be put to use in this theory. Now, i dont know how fast the spell is where you can switch to a different spell book to cast another spell, but if you were to cast barrage, switch to mele armor, switch rpyer books, cast vengence, and go in for the dds specials, im pretty sure you could cause some pretty high damage. i dont have 99 magic, but it doesnt take someone with 99 magic to understand its power. 3 different types of spells, 3 different types of tactics, and event he ability to use all 3 spell books at your advantage. i dont see how being able to do that creates a disatvantage for the skill at all.

6/10 You payed for memebrs only for merchanting? I understand that, but if i were to pay for members with an account like that, I would definatly put it to its fullest potential. you could definatly raise some skills with that cash and make back the money easily, with profit!

OT: 4.6? when was that? ive seen 5m all over the place. hmm. and fighting jad seems like a decent idea. although it only gets 1 special, it does have a pretty high attack bonus. i might actually consider getting one when i go for jad.

Barrows is pretty much the only way i make money. ive went from rags to riches with barrows. went from rune legs, granite plate body, rune kite, whip, and zerker to full guthans, whip, dragon square shield, and a red h'ween mask in about 2 months.

eh, I really dont want to go to bandits. always full. i dont want to pc either. I want to actually get the defence and hp xp.

powermine iron in the alkaharid desert mine. 3 rocks, mine all 3, drop the 3 ore, and mine again. for smithing, buy iron & coal, make into steel bars, sell for a tiny profit.

Current stats: 85 attack 85 strength 83 defence 86 hp I have full guthans, fighter torso, whip, dragon square sheild, helm of neitiznot, rune, and 2m gp to work with. I also do barrows if any more cash is needed. Where should I train to get 99 defence and why? My ideas: daggonaths I dont really want to do dusties because that would require me getting bones to peaches, and after 20 minutes of the telekenetic room and only getting 20 points, I have decided against that. any ideas?
