yeah, i have 75 mining, and its just luck with coal. i dont know if its just the ore it self or what, but coal is extremely unpredictable when it comes to mining the actual ore it self. ive noticed like 3 runs of 1 hits, then like 2 hours with like 5 seconds of mining the ore before i get it.

It's really annoying. and like someone said, its more of like a triple click, well for me at least. i click prayer, but it doesnt show up in my prayer box or above my head, but it will drain my prayer. REALLY anoying at barrows.

most cash i have ever held was about 26.5m currently i hold a green mask, guthix robe set, and 60k yew logs in my bank. thats about 36-37M ish plus other stuff like armor, runes, etc.

Well, I thought it was fitting to post this inventory of myself and what I have acheived. I remember posting a few months back with 94k maples banked to get 99 fm when summer started. Well, a few weeks have gone by, and barrows has treated me nice. I also was able to sell most of the maples and i sold my guthans. This is what I am left with. Not bad if I say so my self. Next on the Agenda: Barrows enough money for a Fury and to have about 4m gp in my bank for a 'rainy day' fund. My 99 firemaking goal will start when summer offically starts for me because I will have a lot of time durring the night to work on it. After that, who knows. I have a few ideas on what I want to work on, but nothing is definate. Possible 99 fletching for a fast 99 to trim my 99fm. after that, most likely 99 defence. And with 99 defence, I would be finding a few people to help me dk, then i will try to solo. I also want to get 99 fishing and cooking from monks. BUT, all of this is just in theory and I know it will take a long time. For now, I just want some ratings, some advice from anyone who is doing something similar to me, etc. thanks : Rate/....date?

I hybrid. slayer dart on Dharok, Verac, Guthan, and Torag. DDS special (+ whip if needed) on karil and i use the karil x-bow and racks i get from barrows to kill ahrim. simple and really affordable. I normally dont lose money on runs. I also use safespots, which means i havent used a single prayer potion dose in over 2 months. I dont pray on karil in tunnel mainly becasue i have enough food to waste on him. its pretty easy. after i do my run, i tele to house, pray at alter, tele to canifis, bank, and go through bar basement to restart.

It's a later goal, but this will make 85 mining way more profitable. ::EDIT:: Well... I guess it would be profitable for about the 3 days everyone DIDN'T know about this method. I imagine the prices of furies will be droping soon. that, or rune ore will rise. I guess it will just depend.

Congrats on 170. Nice achievement. The bank is really messy though. Decent, but messy. 8/10

What Jagex Mod Paul said on forums will Explain Meh, I agree with trembake. I don't find this update to be a very good one, and like he said, it jsut mimicks a plotless quest, and to be honest, I hate quests in general, not to mention ones that don't have a story. Paul might have a brilliant idea on giving people 17k free xp by doing something random but good luck trying to back yourself up by making this update weekly so you give the people their much needed 17k xp by doing unrepetetive tasks. If the only reason this was implimented was to give the people their 17k xp and the miniscule rewards then bravo jagex, but if they are actually trying to do something new and exciting, I will be expecting big things from this new type of update. I guess only time will tell. :-k

congrats. quite an accomplishment! i would know, ive killed 2 before, but without a safespot. it was a wee bit more challenging :P luckily the people fishing monkfish with me were kind enough to drop some monks and a few pots while i was fighting.

I have always loved the character I am using. I have always had good luck getting decent drops, I've leveled him to the point where i can do things comfortably. I have a green mask from barrows drops that i have sold, a hefty ammount of cash and runes, good armor, 99 firemaking banked in yews, and yet i still think sometimes that starting over would be fun. I havent done cooks assistant quest since my first week of runescape. I havent fished for my own food to camp out at greater demons since about a year ago. there is something about being so well off that doesnt seem perfect. I always made my money by woodcutting on f2p or by smelting an ungodly ammount of steel bars for 60gp profit per bar. maybe i am just missing the struggle i had when i was on f2p or a lower level. but, then again, I dont think starting over would make for a great time. I have gotten so used to having this kind of character, that I don't think I would like it on f2p/with low skills. I have an account in the making that I dont know what I am going to do with, but i know i want to have fun with it. who knows, maybe i will sell everything, buy some rares, and quit this account for a while. probebly not, but you never know.

been pretty lucky at barrows recently. all drops in my sig except for 1 (first guthan spear) were in the past month or 2. which includes another guthan spear. so overall, 2 spears in my barrows career. both dragno drops were from barrows (dmeds). BUT i recently lost whip in the wild. not that big of a loss, but it kinda sucked :P

85 str for my 75 mining - strength is easy to train anyway, and 85 mining would be good money OR 83 wc for my 61 prayer - again, i think woodcutting is easy enough to train, and not all that sueful to me anymore. i would much rather have 83 prayer over 83 woodcutting anyday.

I normally dont merchant, so here is what i do when i need to sell something. *calculator at my desk + pen and paper *2 world screens open. one to world 2, the other to any random world so you can world hop faster without losing your world 2 position. (this does NOT mean you are logged into 2 worlds, you just have 2 worlds available) *offical forums on another screen *tip.it chat open for the zybez price guide commands I think thats about it. maybe some music in the background. idk =\

how about the update where you couldnt take banners into castle wars anymore? it was always fun to see someone with a zamorak or saradomin banner running around and having people chase them away from the real flag. tbh, i thought it was more fun with banners, but thats just me.

To be totally honest, i don't believe in karma in runescape. People tend to try to give a cause to an effect, even when it isnt needed. Everything in runescape that isnt judged by your action (such as you burning a log will result in gained experience), will be random. You being in the bank and giving that guy some items to buy a whip was just random because you may not have even ended up in that bank because you might have gotten a wilderness clue. I dont know, maybe its just me, but with a game based on random luck, i dont think you can give 'randomness' the nickname karma.

it could be the fact that even with my 75 mining, i have trouble 1 hitting granite all the time, so if you were also experienceing mining granite harder because you werent hitting granite in 1 hit like you do with iron at level 40, then it could go slower.

I wouldnt call it a guild, but it is definatly compareable to a hang out for more mature players. I've met a lot of cool people there. a few of them are on my list. i've seen many famous players as well. not much of a guild, just a quite get away from the hustle and bustle of falador.

Running a teleport loop from Crafting Guild to Legends OR Warriors' isn't a bad theory; faster mining and quicker access to clay, gold, silver and a tanner. Don't even bother saying "it's pointless" since it's not implemented yet. That's kind of pessimistic...you don't know if it could be really beneficial or not yet. Besides that, how does anyone know if this is the ruby amulet? It could be the diamond, dragonstone, onyx or even sapphire. to be honest, i dont think a teleport to the crafting guild is all that great. sure, you want to get 1 load of ore? great. want to get a closer tele to the snape grass? fine. need to tan some hides and all out of glory charges? yay for necklace of skills! but buying/making multiple necklaces to go to a tanner/area to mine would be kind of counterproductive. i mean, how much are bulk rubies? 1.5-2k ea? well, go ahead and try to make a profit, or keep a low cost rate when tanning hides. and in all honesty, i would rather mine gold ore in that area (for got name: between a rock... quest) and give the dwarf the 3 gold ore to transport my gold than have to worry about how many necklaces i have, or what teleport im on. however, you would still be able to make a profit on gold ore since a load of gold ore is worth 14k gp. this might reduce gold prices though. and finally, we might not know what this necklaces does in all actuality. it might teleport to the crafting guild as well as other places like the fishing guild, the mining guild, etc. It is the necklace of skills, not the necklace of crafting guild. i guess we will just have to wait this one out.

i was trying to buy a green mask with 20m i had made from barrows. at the time (about 6 weeks ago), mask prices were 18.5 for green, 25.5 for blue, and idk what red cost. i see a seller for a mask for 20m, but it wasnt green. it was 20m for a blue mask. I thought it was someone just trying to price manipulate, but i pm him anyway. he says his world varrock. i quickly world hop and find him in varrock right by the water fountain. to my suprise, he accepted the 20m. i sold the blue, bought a green, and had money left over to do more barrows. that trade helped me a lot because now i am a lot better off than what i would have been if i just bought a green mask and had to barrow for more money.
