So now what people are dropping are dds's, partial pots, some sharks if they were koed, rune legs, fremmy helm/rune helm (most likely), and an amulet. remind me if im forgetting anything. this is a real bummer. I mean, whats with mele getting all these updates? Why doesnt range or mage get an update to where they have a torso that gives + 50 magic bonus but is untradeable? we may never know, but right now its really pointless to pk unless magebanking and killing people in full dh, full ahrim, full torag, full verac, or something else that has a profit margin. Trick to beating people in torso: when the oponent is at half or 3/4 health superpot up, pray at 15% on att and str, and whip out the dmace. its special hits pretty high and when pkers have a rune defender and a torso, they have little crush defense. the mace hits rpetty high with special as well, so just do your 4 specials. ive gotten a few KOs this way.

Well, I dont know which takes longer, all the quests + levels to get them, or a 99 skill. That would become a factor in my decision. Another thing to look at is the rewards from quests. Why should we get a trimmed skill cape? dont we have enough rewards from the quests themselves? Ancient magicks, a LOT of experience rewarded, new objects useable, new places accessable, etc. I know this may seem a bit off the topic, but these rewards, in my opinion, replace the trimmed skill cape. But, i do think that if a person were to get 2 99's and a quest cape, that the quest cape should be trimmed. This would solve the problem of people getting the skill cape just to have 1 99 and have the cape trimmed.

thanks everyone : i usually mine the clay myself, make it into soft clay, run the laws, and use runes in my bank to make the teletabs. I normally just use a friends lectern and offer them some money for the use of thier house. i dont like buying the tabs because they are so expensive, but paying my friends kind of evens things out.

i dont have the *money* to buy a barrows outfit and a slayer outfit. there is a difference between an expensive item and gold. the extra cash i got from the spear is the 2.7m you see. I spent most of themoney on a whip (lost one in the wild a few days ago) and the 38k logs.

just a thought, since you are going for high range, ever thought of being a tank later down the road?

Thanks for believeing me for the people who did. i appreciate it. i didnt realize it until someone said it, and they were right, i only have enough runes for 1 trip and 1 ppot in my inventory. well, if thats not enough proof, i would like to ask you people criticising to please leave. Again, thanks for all the people who believed me. I was able to get a good deal on 38k maples from a friend that will help me with my firemaking goal of 99 eventually. A few more drops and i should be able to buy the rest.

whenever someone asks for free stuff, i usually hand them a steel axe from my collectiona nd tell them to chop wood for money. Im sure most of them try to sell it though. I try to at least help them understand they cant be spoonfed. i know i wouldnt be where i am today if i was spoonfed the entire time. I mean, jsut recently i lost a whip because of my mistake. I go to barrows to get money and 10 runs later, spear. I know i benefit more from not having help, so i try to benefit others as well.

im wearing guthans because im also training slayer... i didnt have the money to buy dharoks or torag just for a barrows outfit. I dont really know what you all think i have to prove with faking a spear drop. its really not that big of a deal. im sorry i ever took the picture. But my bank reflects it now, and thats all that matters i assume. To be honest, what would be the point of me showing a fake drop anyway? I dont see any point in trying to fake a drop. Anyway, im back to slayer now and i bought 38k maples off of a friend with some of the money.

im not really a pro, nor do i like staying for more than 1 trip. its just the way i like to barrow. bringing the spear on a trip would be useless.

Yeah, I know the point. I don't know how else to explain why i dont use spear. I just dont like risking the 6m spear for something that i can always depend on. The spear isnt very dependable for barrows in my opinion. I know that if i get in a jam, my monkfish WILL heal me. if you know of any other way i can prove that i didnt just lie about this, please, im all ears. otherwise, i guess you all will have to trust me, a member of these forums for a year and a half, with 600+ posts. I dont think i would lie about something like this. its not like i care about the attention. oh, and Peter, a chat Op in the irc chat, can vouch for me if you all wish to go ask him. dont bug him too much tho. I think you are going in the right direction with this post, but you may be confused on something. the poll said "newer ways" of making money, not easier ways of making money. people are bored with woodcutting, mining, fishing, etc. They want something like berry gatherer (stupid sounding, but lets just pretend for a moment) to have a new, less repettive, and interesting way to make money. No more money will be introduced most likely, it will just come from another place in the economy. and it looks like you seem to think that newer was of making money = more money coming into the system, which is just not true.

well, i knowm ost of you dont believe me right now, but it was a double drop. here is my run> pray/mage dh, dds/pry karil, range ahrim, mage verac, mage torag, mage guthan. in tunnel, find brother (if mele, get to a safespot). get 13 kc, home teleport, use alter, use portal, bank, restart. If you want, i can post more pics of me doing runs in full veracs w/o flail. I dont bring the spear because it takes up too much room. i can see how it would look like i just unequiped, and i am regreting not taking the picture with my mouse over to show it wasnt used. if yu want, however, you can enter the tip.it chat room and ask anyone in there. most of them will be able to back up my barrows method, as well as me not using spear. I can also get a few clan mates that post on this website to vouch for me if you want. either way, i dont think i would try to fake a barrows drop. im not that immature.

Oh jesus, thank god i didnt stay around. some guy was having a party for 92 magic. i looked him up, he needed 56k xp left. told me he needed 2k xp left. so i knew it was some sort of scam, jsut didnt know what. they wanted me to bring my green mask and guthans. so i banked and only brought guthans. im glad i left when i did tho. wow, thats kind of scarry knowing i almost lost my guthans/green mask.

i use 50 casts a run =\ i would also not want to invest time into getting fires/airs just because i am lazy. i would just rather use the runes im already getting from the chest. also saves room in my inventory because i wont be getting 5 more items to be putting into my inventory each time.

meh, the house teles arent that expensive if you just run/make the laws yourself. i get mine for free. i havent had to eat all my food yet, but you never know, those 2 extra monks could make all the difference i guess.

I use the exact same strategy. I love using it. I am using karil bow and skirt i got from runs along with racks on ahrim tho. You have some pretty nice mele stats. I assume you will be veracing barrows soon? I had veracs at one point but was slayer darting and i wore a guthix cloak and stole. total prayer bonus (using zammy book while praying and slayer darting) was 30, so i was able to pray all the way through ahrim. it helped a lot in conserving food. i assume you know all the safespots as well, correct? if not, it would be useful to find all those out. i dont use any prayer potion doses anymore. i just home teleport after each trip. knowing people with lecterns helps a lot :P Well, good luck on your goals. hope it all works out.

Forums, clanmates for sure, music, and the knowledget hat i WILL benefit soon. the last one is why i wasnt mad when i lost my whip an hour ago :P I just picked up some supplies and went back down to barrows. I know i will gain back the money + more soon enough.
