  1. i dont know what you all are talking about. i've had 10+ teeth sit in my bank at a time. i find it hard to get loops.
  2. well i just started using a log on my trips, and i've only gotten 1 item. so far my ratio is 1:21 but i bet if i had an actual log of all of my runs it owuld be something like 1:15ish
  3. no, its fine. there is no need to go to all that trouble. thanks for thinking about me though :
  4. Its usually Runescape, mIRC (with tip.it and clan chats), tip.it forums/clan forums, iTunes, and my bitTorrent. im usually pretty content with that little set up.
  5. 9/10 i like the defence and prayer as a pure. you could potentially just go out in the wild right now as-is, but im sure you will be getting your str to 99 and att up a bit, correct? nice slayer too. im glad i didnt see ANOTHER pc pure pop up. rcing, wcing, fishing, cooking, and fletching are all pretty decent as well. looks like you have a good character started. good luck!
  6. Wow, 1 year? congrats. I've been working on this character for 3+years. i give it a 9/10 for now. btw, nice hunter. i wish i could find the dedication to train it. im only level 31  i will give you a 10/10 later when you show us your bank :P
  7. yeah, there is a box with a red X congrats on 99 str, thats a big achievenment. how is staking/pking going for you? well i hope?
  8. I don't speak like that. If you would like proof look at every other post I've made. I do not speak like that in-game either. a) I don't use magic or range. B) Melee doesn't work because they are running away. Meaning they are out of range. c) Maximum 10 cades from 1 team. Because of the sheer amount of idiots who drop barricades for the sake of destroying them, that limit is quickly reached. 3) I played cwars quite a bit actually. I loved to tunnel underneath. until I met flag holding. I always wear armour. prayer doesn't cover it. There is usually one with dragon items using melee, and another using ice barrage. That actually happened once. I do not have enougth prayer for myself to put on both. "2 words. Click faster" It doesn't matter how fast you click they are usually in the flag holder. attacking me. So I have to right click and select "pick up flag" but by that time, they had already picked it up. all I have to say is come prepared, or don't complain. if you cant conform and use different techniques to play castle wars and you are complaining about it, maybe you shouldnt be playing castle wars.
  9. These are only part of the Merriam-Webster definitions. I feel you got the wrong definition for cheat in this case You listed a transitive definition, which would be used for a phrase like "cheating death". Since the original question was basically "Is it cheating to hold your team's flag?", cheating has no direct object, instead it has the prepositional phrase "to hold your team's flag".** As for the intransitive definitions, the one that applies to this example is definition 1 (cheat at cards). Now, my stance on this used to be that, it's not against the rules, so it's not cheating, only a matter of if it's fair. By definition 1b, this is the case. However, according to 1a, something that is unfair can be considered cheating. For example, I don't think it is against the actual rules in card games to look at another player's cards, or to rig the deck. However, these are still considered cheating, because you would be using fraud and trickery. So, if flag holding could be considered trickery, then yes, it is cheating. I do still believe that it is not really cheating, but by definition, some could consider it to be. As for if it is fair, the dictionary also says: Therefore, if people do not consider flag holding to be impartial and honest, or free from favor toward either side, then it is not fair. Again, since the game is impartial and equal, I would have to say it is fair, but is still debatable. I just feel it is not in the spirit of the game. It seems somewhat unsportsman-like. **I THINK this is right. I am in no way an expert in the rules of English Grammar. However, I did do a bit a research and am pretty sure I am correct in the meanings of transitive and intransitive verbs. good call on the verb tenses, i was a bit tired last night after track and grabbed the wrong definitons, then just went along with it  :P but anyway, i noticed something. you said if flag holding was deemed trickery in the game, then it would be deemed unfair, such as in a rigged deck of cards. but rigging cards and holding a flag are 2 different things. rigging cards implies that you changet he game alltogether (taking out a 3 of hearts, and adding an extra ace of spades) however, in castle wars, the game is already rigged in a way in which you are given the oppertunity to take the flag, thus it should not be considered trickery because you are given the rigth and choice to take it.
  10. To Cheat: to deprive of something valuable by the use of deceit or fraud Fair: conforming with the established rules (coming from marriam websters unabridged dictionary) First, i must prove the resolution (topic) wrong, by using the word fair, which is found in the resolution it self. the definiton of "cheat" is to deprive of something valuable by the use of deceit or fraud. now, we can go ahead and say the something valuable here is the ability to have fun while playing the game, or rather, being able to win. those two things are the most valuable things in this instance. earlier, someone brought up the word "fair". what is fair? its conforming with the established rules. when playing castle wars, what are the rules? well obviously the only rules are no helms and no capes. anything after that and there really arent any rules. you can play with full ahrim's while barraging, or play with a bronze dagger (p). it doesnt matter, as long as you keep to the no helms and cape rules. so when asking yourself, "is it cheating to retrieve your own flag, only after killing a person who tried to steal it from you?" obviously the answer is simple. this game is based on whatever happens, happens, so you better be prepared. if you arent prepared to get a flag (stock up on bandages, baricades, explosive potions, and teamates to help) then it isnt the fault of anyone else but yourself. likewise, it isnt the fault of the other team that you died in the caves below the castle and dropped the flag, and now they have the flag with 3 barrages around the flag holder. if you arent prepared, and someone else is, at least play with some class and dont blame your own misfortune on the other team.
  11. No. One of the reasons Jagex does the things it does (such as keep items in the p2p worlds) is a market strategy. the benefit of keeping items p2p is to boost their overall profits, which in turn helps the general players by having better graphic updates, more servers, more jagex moderators answering queries, etc. so in the long run, its better for everyone if somethings are kept p2p, such as the capes, because it gives an insentive to the one person wanting that cape (they get the cape) and the general population (they get better customer support and a better game in general).
  12. I would love for you to do that, but i dont want you to waste time on me. I will do just fine with the current system you have already. i will be able to calculate it just fine. thank you though, i appreciate the offer. :
  13. they dont have the defence level for barrows? on topic: i really hope masks see a rise later in the summer. I've had a green sitting in my bank for a while (bought at 18.5m). eventually i plan to upgrade itto a blue or red, but not for a while. I hope i can get the money before they rise too high. but, if they do rise high, i will still have the green sitting in my bank.
  14. I want to see what kind of enforcement they would impliment. Letter from Jagex: "We are sorry to inform you, but after bugging your phone, as well as 50,000 other people, we have found that you were trying to selly our friend something, so you are banned. bye!" its just plain crazy
  15. Cool! thanks! I hope other people like it too, because just adding that little thing for me would make me feel really stupid :XD:
  16. *easy teleport to a safe place *portals *alter (good for barrows, prayer training, etc) *lecterns *glory *repair stand (barrows) thats usually all I use at houses. my rs time is usually based on combat recently, mainly barrows, so nothing else is useful at the moment.
  17. I will explain with death runes. Basically, whenever I go out to barrows, I load up a certain ammount of runes. some people load up for multiple trips, however i load up for 1 trip, use house teleprot, and restock runes (usually jsut to see how good im doing with rune drops). So, the idea is that you could have another tab (optional) where you type out how many runes you started out with that run. (it will work for me and people who stay for multiple runs). Say i start out with 100 deaths. at the end of my run i have 135 death runes. BUT of course I used some runes that run. So lets say i used 50 deaths that run. that means i gained 85 death runes that run. but instead of doing the math in my head, it owuld be easier to on onepage put how many runes you started with (100) and then on the front page, put your ending ammount of runes. Thus, the program will subtract the two, and you will get your ACTUAL profit. because even though i may have gotten 85 deaths, I only had 35 runes profit. So the page would look something like this. STARTING RUNES Run#....Chaos....Death.....Mind -------------------------------------------- 1 | 0.................100.......400 Now, this will work with people who do multiple runs because they just enter the ammount of runes they start with per trip. I know, at least for me, it gets kind of confusing trying to get my actual profit from the run instead of having the program tell me i have 70k in profit, when in all reality it was 30k. i hope that makes a bit more sense
  18. I read the entire post, but that caught my eye. The enchantment on the ring is explaind in the KB as "chance of recieving rare drops from monsters is increased" of course we know the chance as being 20% from the quereys to jagex. What i am trying to get across is that it's totally random, no matter what you wear, but the ring 'increases the chance'. what is increasing the chance? having a 20% CHANCE of getting an item over, say, a 5% CHANCE of getting the item. Its random, and it always will be.
  19. I've been using just the tip.it chat bot to log my trips so i know how many runs since my last item, but i will check this program out to see if i like it. I will update later when I have a chance to try it out. ::EDIT:: It's a good system, but i have a suggestion. *First, would it be possible to set it up on one tab to where you enter in how many prayer doses, how many runes, and how much food you start out with, so when you go to the first screen, and you enter in how many runes you end up with, it would be a total of how many runes you gained/lost in that run. Because i know that i always start out with 100 deaths and 400 minds. at the end of the run, i might have 138 deaths and 756 minds, but i have no idea h what my ending rune ammount was because i wasnt paying attention. so when i put in the sheet that i end up with 138 death runes at the end of my run, it knows that i made a total profit of 11k gp, instead of saying i made a profit of 18k from 60 deaths, when i didnt make the profit because i actually only made a profit of 38 runes, not 60. i hope that made sense. it would be another tab that is similar to the one where you put the prices of food, barrows items, and ppots, but it just shows how many runes you started the run out with, then subtracted the ammount you had at the beginning from the ammount you ended with to form your final profit.
  20. finishing the dragon set, a little more money than 200k, maybe a fury? anyone of those things would give you a 10/10 from me until then, 9/10
  21. same thing happened to me. I was mining the roes and making the bars myself. I was just using the bars tomake whatever i could to raise my level. I probebly went through 1k steel bars just using them on an anvil. Then someday, some guy came up to me and said he would by all my steel bars, for 300 gp ea! it was a steal of a deal. the stupid axes and scimitars were only selling to the shops for less than 100gp ea. so i was selling to him, and i looked on tip.it one day to check out the price. at the time they were 600 ea. i confronted him and he logged. could have made like 100kgp more then what i did in that little incident. oh, and i would also have told my self the first 2 clans i joined were jokes and finally, i would tell my self to get to work. i pretty much wasted my first 3 months just walking around talking. oh well, i met some pretty nice people anyway.
  22. Well lets put it this way, at least the only way you can go is up now  :P good job and good luck
  23. -Becoming a member for 2 years free No real downside -The ability of becoming the lvl 703 monster whenever you want and to be able to turn back to a human. to easy to get every rare/armor/all runes/cash, etc -A party hat set not bad, but i like to earn my rares -2 billion gp in your bank good, but too easy. doesnt add excitement to the game. this just means i have all the money to get all 99's with now. yipee. -The ability of killing macros whenever you want. they just respawn and keep being made. -A lightsaber (+400 in all attack stats) too easy to level, no one would fight me -Becoming a J mod good bye game play! hello people telling you your game stinks and complain to you! the free 2 years of membership would be best IMO. everything else just ruins the game for me. the 2 years of membership wont get old. free game for 2 years, free updates, and i get to keep more of my own money.
  24. last summer when i had to baby sit my sister every day, i no-lifed like crazy. I had the computer, and basement for that matter, to myself from 9pm to whenever in the morning. usually i got off at about 4am, right before my parents would wake up for work. Pepsi usually was fine for me, but then again, my sleeping patterns were changed so much that i really wasnt affected by the long rs hours.
  25. or the fact that if you hit something very very old with something, like say a sword, warhammer, battle axe, or two handed sword, it will tend to break apart. You will probebly need to fix something that is repeatidly hit for 15 hours of solid hits every once in a while... i don't think i can support the living tissue theory.
