Really? I had to read the book a couple years ago for English and I absolutely hated it. Most everyone else in my class (or anywhere for that matter) treated him like some kind of hero for going to Alaska and was actually sad because he died. That's completely ridiculous to me; he went to Alaska with little to no knowledge on living in the wilderness and died because of his own stupidity. It's idiotic that he got a book which seems to idolize him. He deserved to die and I, for one, am glad his stupidity isn't polluting the gene pool.

That part confused me. Did they say why? Because they might have been completely fine with having a gay child, just worried about everything their child might have to go through. Obviously they were accepting or they wouldn't have been in a video. Perhaps the displeasure was at society and not their child.

It's because of idiots like this that they keep trying these scams. I do like reading stories where the scammer gets messed with, though. (the p-p-powerbook is my favorite : )

The sooner you get over the "ME ME ME" syndrome, the better. Simply because he doesn't care about a couple people killed/injured on the other side of the world, it doesn't mean that he's completely egotistical. People get hurt, people die. All the time. It's unnecessary to fall to pieces over every death, especially if you had no idea who they were beforehand. Nothing's going to bring them back, so just move on with life. Grieving is just a waste of time, money, and energy.

A single atom of oxygen would definetly not be large enough to affect you in any way... agreed, a single atom of oxygen cant form a bubble because bubbles are thousands of atoms, oxygen can kill you but not 1 atom Aha, success!
