did you install the ipod software? the pod needs to be formatted by the software before its ready for use also you need to use the software that comes on the cd to transef songs dont just drop files in the root of your ipod.

Sounds like your power supply died its just one of those things that happens for noreason. You will need to take your laptop to a service center they will either repair or replace the power supply.

obviously im not the idiot here :P when u have an ipod taken to an apple store they record the seriael number and since there are 12,000 stolen they will ask the person were they got it from and will prob let go for telling them and they can eventually trace it bac. also once it is reportered that if one is bought on ebay and stolen, ebay will have to hand over the persons information collected to the police and can find out the connection obviously its gonna be a lil sucpicious if they are reported as stolen and ebay is flooded with the ipods also yes other things have been stolen e.g. laptops and alot of the time they are traced when several are stolen but something of this quantity would stick out. Also most things like fridges, tv's and such that are stolen wouldn't be serviced but with ipods and this many it would be a lil obvious next time think b4 u post :D :D :D Thats the problem im always thinking. SO what if ebay hands the sellers account rego information over to the police? this is organized crime. The person who stole the ipods will have been working for someone else. it wont be a one man operation their could be dozens of people involved.

This will probably shock you but ipods arnt the only things to carry serial numbers :shock: :shock: Laptop computers carry serial numbers I dont see people being busted for stealing hundreds of them at a time same goes for almost any eletrical good. What you just posted is pretty stupid its not like an ipod is tracable. Mobile phones are one of the few tracable electronic goods to be stolen. How the hell can you get caught selling stolen ipods on ebay?

has he tryed using an alternate browser? If it works with other bowsers then its a problem with his Firefox wich my need to be reinstalled. Also firefox has a "Safe Mode" version in the firefox folder try that, I have some extensions cause trouble for me and running in safe mode eliminated them.

looking at msn now there is 7 people online 6 of wich I could probably start a conversation without difficulty. theres only 2 atm that I talk to regular and then looking at my IRC screen (I have a dedicated monitor for IRC :P ) their is a pointless conversation going on wich I could easily join if I could be bothered

Surely Google would object to such usage of the space? Not that I don't like the idea... I just want to keep my GMail account around, not lose it because I bended the rules a bit ;) Think about it: Why would they object to it if they volunteer to give you a 2gb 'harddrive' email in the first place? A lot of the harddrives on the google servers are a result of overestimation of google/internet site growth in 2001/2002 as the company bought thousands and thousands of hard drives it now doesn't need as it has enough for indexing and caching the current sites and spidering for more. So they're putting them to use rather than just dumping them in a warehouse. its called overselling the avarage user will use less than 100MB of space but with this system filling 2gigs isnt even a task. Plus google dont make money this way. with this system id have over a terabyte of remote storage i dout their going to let me have that for free when otheres are charging thousands of dollars amonth for that sort of remote storage.
