29th May 2009 - The Jagex Clan Cup 2009
You can read a lot more about the Jagex Cup and the final of the Combat Cup in the Clan Chronicle, which is where the images from the Jmod parade for The Titans are taken from. It contains an interview with a TT member, screenshots from the finale and a little more info on the other Cups. (And other non Jagex Cup related articles.) Just in case any of you have an interest in reading it, and missed the news post on the front of the Tip.It website. Clan Discussion topic about the articles here. Clan Chronicle issue #7- JC finals, TT, Tip.It ML, changes++
No cap on the memberlists. We have several thousand members, and having to split up the top memberlists and exclude others from even appearing as members was not a viable solution for us. The lack of active support from RuneHead, plus the viruses in some of their ads last year were also deciding factors.

Mechscape=delayed longer
Noone's complained.

When?
That's an extreme, though. 100's of MMOs have been released and many of them past planned release dates, most of them with no more problems than expected. The Blokes @ Jagex have experience running one game already, and have learned a lot (despite what we might think on a bad day  ).

Tipit and Mechscape?
I think he meant different to FunOrb. :) The difference is what dsavi already mentioned.

Clan Chronicle issue #7- JC finals, TT, Tip.It ML, changes++
We're glad you enjoyed the read. : TSG have decided to switch to Tip.It memberlists when they are released, due to the lack of cap on the member number on the list + tie with RuneScript. We'll only keep the current lists on RuneHead, but not maintain them after that.

Slumps in clans.
Amen. =D> That sums up my views pretty much. Of course, it has to be combined with a nice portion of listening to your members, but they have to be aware what kind of clan they are joining. Goals, visions and aspirations.

Clan support
They're still not the same as PvP worlds. It is easier to get crashed for smaller clans on BH worlds.

Rune Raiders closing
So, news just ticked in about another clan closing... Rune Raiders, who have been around for about 6 years, announced yesterdays that the leaders had chosen to shut the clan down. Ending list. Tribute video: [yt]mYbyHjKR0U0[/yt] This is directly related to the Slumps in clans discussion that is also going on, as RR had been going through months of slumping. The closing was a direct consequence of this. Also: I know the policy is to let the clans post closings themselves, but no RR members had posted this yet and I'm not even sure if any of them post here.

Weren't those BH worlds that they just added?

tip.it down???
Correction: The website has still been up and running, it's just the forum part which has been down for short periods a few times this past week (and yes, I have noticed it too). It could be a provider thing, but it's definitely not an attack from the outside. If that had been the case, I am sure someone would have mentioned it to me. :P

Tipit and Mechscape?
There would probably be a mix of old and new if Tip.It decides to continue working on MechScape related stuff, as someone would have to teach the tricks of the trade to the newcomers. After all they would still be a part of the site, and they would need the support, attention and feedback from the existing staff anyway. There is also a chance that some of the now RuneScape playing staff members will go over to playing MechScape, and if that happens, it would be natural to offer them a spot on a MechScape staff. If that is to happen, that is. Again, these are just my views and opinions, not views of the staff or Tip.It. I'll leave that to the Administrators if they reply to this topic. :)

Tipit and Mechscape?
I think the current policy is to "wait and see". If MechScape is a flop after 3 months, then it would be a waste for us to spend staff, time and energy on. After all our main priority is and probably always will be RuneScape, so just because something new comes along and everyone goes "OOH SHINY!" :o it doesn't necessarily mean that we will change our main focus. That said, I am all for integrating MechScape if it becomes a success (and continues to be successful), and I am sure that if the users agree, the staff will listen to the users' wishes. Change can definitely be good, but we also have to keep in mind that our userbase is here because we are good with RuneScape. That's why I think your idea is a good one, if it can be done. I'm not the most technical person around, so I can't tell you if it's possible, but I am sure Dsavi pops by and voices his opinion. :P

Mechscape Questions
The friends lists are not necessarily tied together, as in FunOrb. Well, at least not in the same way. They are making changes to them, I seem to remember, possibly for that reason?

Clan Chronicle issue #7- JC finals, TT, Tip.It ML, changes++
We've all been there, man... :P Thanks for the positive feedback, all. It is very much appreciated. We would love to see some opinions and discussion come out of the articles aswell, and I know that the Crew would like to hear it if you have any suggestions or other feedback to the memberlists work so far. I swear, next issue we need to write a fake article just to provoke some debate on here.

Clan Chronicle issue #7- JC finals, TT, Tip.It ML, changes++
May is here, and so is the biggest issue of the Clan Chronicle so far. 8-) We can reveal a huge upcoming release: Tip.It memberlists. There is a big article about it, and there will of course be more information about it when it is released in a few months time. The Jagex Combat Cup final was fought just this weekend, and we were there. We have an interview with a The Titans member before and after the final, pictures from final and The Titans is our featured clan this month. We also have the results of the Skilling and Combined cups. Are the changes to the clan support happening fast enough, even with the new CEO? Are clan chats just a positive addition to the clan support? Two articles question this, and maybe you have questioned it too. A debate in the Clan Discussion forum about clan support makes it clear that many people have opinions about this. Do you? Please post your thoughts, opinions or feedback to any of the articles in the Clan Chronicle in this topic. You can find the new issue here. Do you have an idea for an article yourself? Write it down and PM it to Laikrob, and you have the chance to be a guest article writer, or maybe even a Clan Chronicle Author. Special thanks this month goes to the guest author, y_guy_4_life. Thanks again to Crew member Cowman_133, who does the coding. On behalf of The Clan Chronicle, Laikrob

Tipit and Mechscape?
You're allowed to link to specific information on other sites, actually more than welcome to. It's just the downright "Come to fansite.com instead because we know so much more, instead of debating here!" that we don't think is fair. ;) When it comes to guides and such in the beginning, I think the player made ones will be essential. As it is now, we don't have the man and woman power to build a website for MechScape aswell, but if the players do a great job in gathering information - and we are fortunate enough to have a dedicated user base - then the job won't be as overwhelming if the Crew decides to recruit and make another website in the website. Of course, this is just my views and speculations, but I think that if MechScape becomes popular, it would be a shame to split up the Tip.It users. (Well, maybe a few. :P )

The "Scape" in MechScape
It could also be to avoid unfortunate acronyms. Medical and software, in example. Personally I don't care what the game is called, and whatever they call it, I will play it - at least to give it a decent try. A lot of fansites will have some work to do if the namechange rumours are true, though. Thankfully we just have to rename one forum. :P

Mechscape, and how it will affect Runescape
I will definitely try it, and probably play a little of both if I like MechScape. No plans of quitting RS, though. : Quitting is for quitters.

Mechscape combat system: Your thoughts.
Personally I prefer being able to afk a little, so I can be productive (or not so much) with work while playing. Now since we can assume that it will be more combat base than RuneScape, I am hoping that some part of it will be click and wait, at least.
