  1. They have made some valient efforts at containing it i.e. Barrows Armor We need more things such as the crystal Bow and Barrows Armour that cost money to be repaired. Such as massive ships where you can both lose money easily but gain more back (Look up Battle on the Open Seas in the Runescape Discussion and Suggestions Forum here) or even similar armours that need to be repaired.
  2. It's not bad, but you might want to include some pictures of the varying currencies. Perhaps go into some research about the uses of each one a bit further or how to obtain them a bit further. Anyways, for those who aren't in the know, this is a good idea to have.
  3. By message you do mean that you're reading it from the Message Center and not from your emails, correct?
  4. I've died once or twice before in Runescape. Once was out of overpowering odds (Elvarg the Dragon) and the other was from Ancient Magicks by a Pker as I headed off to the abyss. I never yelled at Elvarg, but I did raise my hands up in a cheer when I defeated him. I couldn't defeat the Pker (with his powerful spells) but I did try to bother him after I died. It consisted of "Congratulations on killing off somone with barely any real items, I'll bet you noticed no glory amulet today". He offered to give me my stuff back, I declined. It is in my mind his reward for defeating me. If I die to a monster and there is someone nearby, I consider it a warning to them to be sure they know their own strengths and weaknesses so they never die off to a monster.
  5. Hmmm... If people are wanting double experience for doing something that takes less skill, I'm not sure how that works. Take Runecrafting for instance. You can create more runes when you become more experienced in the skill. You still get the exact same amount of experience. That's a good system. What about giving you double the money/reward? That wouldn't do either. You could be thieving a "man" and he could be giving the same money as (insert what ever person/stall is next). Plus how could you steak two cakes at a time, multiple silver ores. Gems being very small you could do it? No, the owner is obviously watching them very closely so you'd have to get one as soon as possible so as not to get caught, if you could take your time you'd pick out a diamond from the gem stall. That's my rationalization of thieving.
  6. The moment I read the title I thought of this. http://fr33st0ffplz.comicgenesis.com/d/20051005.html But sitting would be great and all, but it's not necessary. Sure I'd love to see the inns and bars actually used for a communal experience, perhaps a chat room just inside each bar which would allow traders to go in there if they're trying to haggle out a price, instead of having to talk over PM's they can speak through that and have an ale or two whilst there (which may lower the price even further  )
  7. Thus making it no longer easy money. But besides that many have suggested moving Green Dragons before, but here's my Runescape logic on this. Firstly you defeat Elvarg the green dragon who had been imprisoned there. This is at level fourty and later. You have the confidence to go and defeat other dragons but it is the fear of the wilderness and the prowling bandits that lurk in every shadow that keeps you away. So only until much later eighties or so that you venture deeper into the wilderness to find these dragons and face off the monstrous creatures. So for that reasoning I suppose Green Dragons should stay in the wilderness because it keeps all the weak people away from training there. That's my spiel.
  8. I have two accounts. One is my main account which I play in the least once every week (on the weekends) and then a "Pure" account which I play on only when I'm bored with some monotonus mining or other task that I'm doing on my main character.
  9. You just want to be able to carry ten thousand rune essence in one trip. Twenty eight is fine enough. Plus you have another 6 (give or take a few) slots for equipment and arrows. It's far better than in RSC which any and all arguments of Runescape 2's positive or negatives should be based on.
  10. Agreed. Not all of mankind shares in the sympathies of a small group of people. I'm sure that I would feel some sort of pangs of sadness had I know him or known anyone that dies suddenly and in the way that Shiva "Anarith" did. Perhaps the best way to remember Anarith is to have fond memories of him as he lived and your own interactions with him, no memorial site would do as his memory would be with each person individually and no spot could (or should) be able to hold your own thoughts and feelings towards him, Runescape is a game, it can be taken down, redesigned and wiped clear off the face of the earth, eventually we all will forget about Runescape, but a friend who passed before their time, that should (and will) live on in the minds and hearts of those who befriended him.
  11. Glad to still be hearing positive things about my guide. I've come to realize that if your heart isn't into the mining it'll take longer no matter what you try to do. So be conscious and positive about your essence gathering goal and treat it as fun and not a chore.
  12. Another Fest again!?!?! I'll try to make this one. I guess I'll show up on my real account this time. Now I need to get another hatchet.
  13. But it will allow you to mine Runite ore. I wouldn't do it unless you're mining at the Hero's guild site. You should be making Mithril full gear or Adamant full gear and sell it to the F2P players. There's always a buyer for that. I'm sure you could make a killing off of it. Edit: That's for building up your Smithing. No one has their smithing and mining at equal levels (unless both are 99).
  14. I've mined levels worth of essence also. It's nothing like getting that level after spending hours just mining essence, that's called dedication. Hope you're doing well on your goal and no signs of giving up.
  15. I got 0wned about 15 seconds after spreading out. Some guy brought what appeared to be The Wind Spell that uses Chaos runes and I (at level 19) was ripped to shreds in two hits after having been chased by a Pker who then promptly ran off mid-wilderness march. But oh well, I just lost the helm and leather boots and gloves. The pre-march seemed to be the best part, we all got to gather around, the march itself was a bit lame as there were too few bystanders to stare in awe at our bronze might.
  16. There's still around 40 minutes to go and already there's a heard of people here. Edit: I'm going as my other alias Spellminer. Be sure to HYT it up.
  17. Starting in a little over an hour! w00t!
  18. Maybe you should transfer this determination into Getting a GED and then maybe JUST MAYBE go to DeVry or ITT Tech and get yourself a degree in Game Design or some other easy degree that will allow you to "play" video games all day. But honestly the Gaming industry is completely purposeless in America. Well over half of the Game Development and testing departments are overseas meaning less work for American developers. If you can find a job in it, be sure to count your blessings the minute you get the job done you're cut and you've got to find yourself a new game position. Basically all Game Developers, Designers, and Testers are Hermit Crabs looking for a new shell after one of them will no longer hold them. Another piece o' sage advice is if you are capable of Web Design or multimedia content and you want to pursue that career you should be aware that it's current trend in Pay is going down (meaning every year those guys are getting payed less and less) but it is my own belief that as the Internet and paperless transfer get bigger and bigger they'll need more designers for sites (meaning bigger pay). On-Topic: Congrats to spending over 24 hours playing a game and completing a goal? edit:Time
  19. And how exactly did you come about this information? I doubt you had access to any of his personal files and if he were a pedophile I doubt that he would have told you that he was an adult. Don't lie about internet pedophiles on Runescape, it gives Runescape a bad name.
  20. Pacific is two hours behind Central. There are 4 time zones. Pacific, Mountain, Central and Eastern. Then there's Arizona which does not take part in daylight savings.
  21. You have one heck of a sense of humor :). I remember doing a crocodile mission and I was very angry at it, I couldn't wear heavy armor unless I brought a full load of Waterskins, which left me without any room for food. I had to range them as they kept moving around and across the river. Crocodile skin would be interesting but Rangers have a suit for every 10 levels now. There's no room unless you put it in at 35. Something else such as making crocodile skin tradeable to someone in the desert towns to give you something or gain access to new parts of the desert would be interesting.
  22. You're one of the first few people I have ever seen to understand that F2P is the full game and P2P is the expansion pack. No longer am I alone in this thought.
  23. Skill meaning proficency, the ability to do so. With Practice and training you can play the organ. But in the game you cannot actually play the organ. The organ is just an object to make the area more realistic. No new skill will be associated with Music because of it's lack of mobility. Imagine taking a huge organ into the KBD's lair because it gives you a minor bonus. Sure a lyre would be able to do this, but if you could level up a music skill then you would have no purpose to enchant the lyre to play it. Bards existed(and still do) in the game Dungeons and Dragons. In the years of my playing the game, DMing the game, as well as trading tales with pals about my game and theirs, I have NEVER heard someone say that they were a Bard. They can use low magic, and use regular weapons, their main "draw" would be their ability to increase morale duirng battle and give miniscule bonuses to the players. No one needed that! It's either you kill the Kobold or you die trying and roll up a new character and go loot your own corpse, no need for a Bard to be prancing up and down singing of his fallen comrades and whatnot.
  24. "... a whole new game" is exactly what I'm trying to introduce :)! Just a persistent mini-game which those capable of doing so can spend the money to build the ship, buy/make the supplies, and take the risks that are involved with sailing on the seas of Runescape. Jagex is the worlds number one (#1) Java Developers. I'm sure that they'd figure out a way to do it eventually and from the look of the most recent newspost (02/07/06) they've taken into effect part of what I've said (Too bad I'm no longer a member).
  25. That's excatly what I was shooting for. So long as you had fun playing it and it could help you pass the time while doing boring stuff then my job here is complete.
