Yeah, beacuse it's switching focus from the game to the ad. ALWAYS have your right hand on the mouse and left hand on the keys that you would normally type with or the arrow keys. Be sure before you type something you click on something, even if it's just a left click to get the menu up it'll bring back the focus onto the Java applet. It has happened to me many a time.

Problem with that one is it's not hard to get to. I'd have to say somewhere north of the death plateau. You need climbing boots which I believe anyone can get from the Sherpa even if you didn't start quest. No one goes near that Ice gate (it snows up there too. Very neat.)

I stink at freehanding with a mouse and I'm not the greatest on pen and paper. If ever I want a project to look uber good I'd contract someone else to draw. But thanks for the vote of confidence.

Controlled goes to all three sets. Did you ever play Runescape before RS2? Twas common knowledge back then (beacuse it was the auto for every single weapon because there weren't any names for your attack (crush, stab, slash, etc.)) You use controlled to level up all three stats equally.

My Mining Goal 74/99
tefda replied to Spark_Fearow's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
I'm thinking the smilies are misused here. But anyways. I'm going to go to varrock to get myself 10k essence. If I see you there I'll be sure you yell HYT! -
I believe it's because they're not actually of this plane or something like that. They're creatures summoned or forced into this world by the works of evil magic. I believe the logic behind it is that when you kill a demon it's body is consumed by the flames of their own infernal (Hellish) dimension. Now don't ask me why they drop items because that's something I can't logic out.

Tip.It Times: Varrock Library (on the forums)
tefda replied to Eeeeediot's topic in General Discussion
Not to say that I didn't enjoy the story but I've always expected the Tip.it Times to be a recap of what's been happening in the Runescape world or community. Tis nice to see some advertising for the forgotten Varrock Library Forum but I would also liked to have seen some news about the agility pyramid, reactions (primarily in the RSC community) to the Mass banning in RSC and RS2. But nonetheless great job on the story Necromagus. You did a bang up job. -
Not everyone grew up in the original Runescape world. Back then you could choose aggressive, defensive, accurate and controlled for any and all weapons.

When you die and are carrying a strange box it takes up the entire square of the floor. That's it.
-
Ahem... It is "VERY" basic with "VERY" basic graphics. I never claimed for it to be the greatest or to be on the level with games such as Adventure Quest or the like.
-
Just uploaded the latest version of it. Now there are animated attacks and if you've played Gauntlet Legends on the N64 you'll notice something about one characters move.

See now that made more sense than these crazy formula's with crazy greek letters and whatnot.

Sure it's possible but most people gather large quantities of essence so that they can do solid runecrafting and not have to keep switching back and forth from task to task. But you are also carring 1. An amulet of glory 2. a stack of runes that you have been crafting 3. A pickaxe 4. More than likely some sort of defensive equipment against PKer's near the abyss. That is limiting you slightly and also, if you've done it for hours and are still carrying the runes it'd really bite if you died with them still on you. Running from the Ardougne marketplace (where you teleport in) to that crazy wizard's house in Ardougne is a bit more of a distance than from the eastern bank in Varrock to the rune shop. But really this guide is for people simply gathering essence to either sell, or craft themselves and I do not delve into the actual crafting of it. If you feel like testing your idea time yourself and see how efficient it is and how many runes you can make and then share your results with us as soon as you can. :)

or do we? When I said hello to my pal the Makeover Mage I noticed something different... Also in my latest trip through Falador I noticed a few odd things as I traversed back and forth between the mining guild and the bank.

Lets see... I don't play anywhere near that much time. In fact during weekdays (Monday-Friday) I'll MAYBE play an hour every other day. But that also is probably because I go to High School, have a job and am involved in three different clubs on seperate days. But on Saturday I'd play about a few hours (3-4) just to mine some ores. So right now I'm not playing alot, but in the summer, I can imagine playing for a good solid two hours every other day. That'll be when I start paying for the game and therefore have access to far better content than now.

Will 5k autoer In Runescape 2 be banned next? Told you so!!
tefda replied to Biabf's topic in General Discussion
I was looking through the old posts today and I saw as I scrolled down, something about Will Jagex Ban 5000 RS2 Players next? I said to myself, whoever wrote that must think they're Nostradamus now. Good job on fortelling the future. -
The minute you make a flash game better than this, please tell me.

wats the best thing 2 do when ure bored on runescape?
tefda replied to meatbag66's topic in General Discussion
Since you're a member, I'd say the best thing to do would be to organize your bank. It can get really messy sometimes and it's always good to be able to find an anti-poison potion when you really need one. -
It would be me mining up in the Hobgoblin Mine or the skeleton mine in the wilderness until I finished off my Coal, Mithril, and Iron ore goals. Then I would most assuredly log off and go do something with some pals. Runescape could be played as a solo game, but then you'd have no one to compare yourself too which is how we see ourselves (Anthropologists believe that in tribal communities everyone would compare themselves to their neighbor and eventually you'd find something you're good at. With technology and seeing super stars on T.V. we cannot accurately size up ourselves. The same goes for Runescapes skills. We are incapable of finding our niche in the world because we all have the same skills and, it is to my belief, we try to make new things such as "Guilds" or "Companies" to make an original thing happen to you in a not so original world) Sorry for the rambling

Calm down there! To clarify, you can set up Macro's of the normal commands like /run or /help or to cast spells and then do an action all with a click of a button. The "Macros" that most people think of in Runescape are external programs that are made by users. Neither Jagex or Blizzard allow those kind of programs which is why WoW has "The Warden" which acts like spyware and sees if you are running any of the illegal macros. But once again, calm down. Just because people disagree with you on the internet does not mean you have to get riled up about it.

In regards to that, I'm not sure if you're refering to human being archetypes or in-game archetypes. For example are you saying that there are people who are considered "n00bs" in the game because of low leveled stats or is it that they are "n00bs" because they are not decent players in regards to acting intelligently and flowing with the game? For the latter World of Warcraft is a step up above our Free community. A person who can read and get access to the internet can go onto Runescape and then play the game and act in any insane manner he wishes (Psychology Time below). Because of Kohlberg's theories of Moral development where the first stage, referring to younger children, is all about punishment, the child is withdrawn from all chance of real punishment. Even if he gets his account banned, he can make hundreds of other accounts to escape punishment as well. When they reach the second stage of moral development then it becomes worse, the second stage being Selfishness. They simply think of themselves and their actions are dictated by what they can achieve for themselves. I'm not saying that all children are like this and neither am I saying that all adults are not this. Moral development can be advanced in children and adults (primarily reaching the 4th or 5th level of development) can still have their motives based on lower levels (including 1 & 2). But you have a better chance of finding MORALLY DEVELOPED people in games that are harder to subscribe/gain access too. Sorry for the rambling on and on. Psychology Final coming up in a couple days, just practicing.

Just think of how many hours I've been wasting not training and instead being on the toilet. If my calculations are correct (E=MC^2+3.14) then I'd get at least another 10k experience an hour if I were able to take Runescape in my Bathroom. Huzzah! [/joking around]

I've now updated my old Magic, Ranged, Melee game to be Wizard, Ranger, Warrior! The game is very simple. Choose what kind of attack you want to make (Magic, Ranged, or Melee) and then hope that you chose correctly as the enemy is always made at random! The game is great for when you're waiting for things to respawn (such as a Thieving Stall, or the Rune ore spot). With a small size you can easily minimize the browser around it so that you can still see what's going on in Runescape. Play Wizard, Ranger, Warrior Note: Attack graphics will be coming shortly. I was just really eager to get this out to the public. Enjoy the game! Feel free to either link to the game email me in order to acquire a version that uses your own hosting. Update: The animating is done! Please enjoy the game while doing something boring in Runescape or whenever you want to play. To Mods: Because my work was of a certain type of Media I believed it is supposed to be here, but if I was mistaken, feel free to move it.

Either you never did The Giant Dwarf Quest (or completed it, because you have to start it when you first go into Keldagrim) or you did it and skipped out on the meeting. That's where you are taken when you interrupt the meeting and give your human point of view. I still believe Party Pete's place is the best for a any party.

WOAH! I now love Jagex's legal department! The only problem with their form is that they have no way for Parents to input consent. I know if I was running a game site (which, if luck comes my way, I soon will be) that is targeted for 13+ years of age individuals then I'd have them either send in a Fax of their signature plus Social Security Number (or other legitimate form of verification) or a digital copy of signature and SSN or other ID. Most people (including me) would not want to give out their Social Security numbers just so their kid could play a game. The only problem is preventing them from inputting a fake year of birth. I'm not sure how I could regulate that without scaring away target audience. (My idea would be to give a copy of birth certificate, but even I wouldn't want to do that to play the game).
