  1. Well at least it give herby exp. That's always good.
  2. LMAO, I remember doing that back in the day. I had like 2 agility and I almost died from the agility traps, OMG! I was already high level but I didn't have teleport runes on me because of overconfidence so I had to call a friend to extract me from that awful place. :ohnoes:
  3. Oh does this mean there hasn't been a decrease in active players then?
  4. Leave it as it is or at least keep it in one thread that isn't a sticky.
  5. Wow the number of additional maxed players is going down every year? People must be playing RS less and less! This is more convincing than the "sad graphs" thread before.
  6. About the second article by Crocefisso, "something quintessential to the patchwork of the game" is slightly wrong grammatically speaking. Try "the quintessential newbie experience" or something. I've not tried the Gnomecopter Tours it sounds interesting from what I read on your article so good job there. :)
  7. I thought it was just me! I updated java so I thought it wasn't working properly. I should have known it was just RS running funny again.
  8. Great stuff, merchandising and producing stuff like RS books, toys, movies, animated features, etc is a good way to raise money for the game without raising membership fees.
  9. So now if you die with phat on it is kept on death? Cool!
  10. Oh I see. My problem is that I have no idea what The Kite Runner is, you know, because I watched 300 (not a joke, I watched 300, it's a great cheesy movie!).
  11. Actually, linking a website is not the same as advertising. For example, if there is an interview of Jagex from Escapist Magazine, I could certainly link to Escapist as the source if I were to talk about the interview.
  12. What does this mean? Are those people still going to link to their own site (as I have seen them do in other threads but mods removed their links) or are they closing it down and staying here?
  13. The article about clans was a little boring but informative enough. :) I'm not saying it's bad but here are some tips: "The Clan Camp" as a title is lacking in that certain something that makes a person want to read more. When writing a title, "Clan Camp: (put your idea here)" is better than just "The General Topic" type of title. For example, which title is better "The Return of the Wilderness" or "Wilderness is Back - and People are Staying Away in Droves"? The first is okay but the second grabs your attention and tells you exactly what to expect. :) The first paragraph is also a bit strange. So about the UN and Jagex? It doesn't seem to have any bearing on the matter at hand. Stay focused on your topic and don't get distracted by extraneous things. The sentence "It is a constant of human behaviour, and the exact reason that a majority of people opt to watch a film such as 300 over, say, The Kite Runner." is weird and out of place, I don't understand what you are saying at all. I take it this is the writer's first article in the Tip It Times? Congrats! It's a good article, don't be afraid to spice it up just a little bit, IMO.
  14. Good lord! No. Voting for bans is silly. Most people do not care about the rules, it will just turn into a popularity contest. Do we have a good ban appeal system though? In case some rule breakers want to mend their ways?
  15. A forum without rules? Only if it's not open! That's not a good idea for Tip It but it's a good idea for another forum. One time we had a pking forum for pkers and it was also fun. Flame-filled post wars and such were on there every few hours but come on, it was all about pking, what would you expect? Actually the feeling on Tip It at the time was "they all left. good riddance to those flaming fools!" Admins here practically did a dance of joy. All the trolls left to join the no-rules forums. I also recall we had a private invitation-only forum (not on Tip It), twice. This was for all the "good" posters only. Why doesn't someone make a new forum like that instead of a big, open forum any *cough* person can join? Yes, you did. Not explicitly, but you did. That's your interpretation. *shrugs* I honestly did not mean it that way but if that's the way you chose to take it then that's your call. As I have said, I have personally joined break off groups lol (three time that I can recall) and I wish your group well. It's no skin off my back, I have nothing to lose or gain here. Basicaly I have two points that I want to cover: 1.) People have broken off from Tip IT before, it's nothing to cry or be alarmed by. Just let them go. Bye, guys and good luck. 2.) On the other hand, Tip It has, in the past, killed off one of their own forums because they alienated an entire segment of the RS player base. I'm talking about the clans. That was years ago and the clan forums here are still dead up to now. Tip It is not the only forum and if you focus on the rules instead of the user experience here then they will simply go off and find a better place - like what has happened in the past. So yeah, let those who want a different forum have their fun. Just make sure you give the posters here what they want. BTW, I am not in favor of the increased moderation.
  16. Too bad many RS players are too young to understand account safety. I'll bet you that guy was able to scam a few people.
  17. I wasn't aware of any humor in your previous posts (or mine for the matter). If it were funny, I would have laughed. This is a slight derailment of my previous point that people cannot work with/accept criticism anymore to become better. They also cannot be disagreed with. Wow, you really think that "no good luck for you" is dead serious? Also, you have honest answers and I overreacted? I did not ask a question. Why would you answer a question that hasn't been asked? Oh now I get it, people are just trolling for attention now. I still wish the other luck with their forums, especially the Ancient.
  18. I never said anything about failure. It's definitely nothing new to go off split from Tip It. I feel it is a legit move if you aren't happy here. On the other hand, I really see no need to cry over it. In case you didn't get the other thing I was saying, Tip It killed their once thriving clan forums. I'm still trying to get over that...
  19. Are you giving me attitude??? Why are you explaining it to me? After I said this happens and that I have done the same in the past? I fully understand as not many people here do. That's real sympathy right there! Ok, no good luck for you then. Go away and go to your own forums if you are just gonna go on here snarking at the old players.
  20. Of course. Who cares about 100% consistency. Again, this is how it is done in other games. If they can't find it or its gone or destroyed, then that's that. At least you got your chance to get itgems back. As it is you get nothing, ever, even when it's dead simple to help. They just check the logs. This is the last time I will repeat this: If other games can do it, so can Jagex. Period. If you think it's impossible, that's your opinion. They could find Chessy's (or whatever the name is) items which clearly shows they can, in fact, track items. That's a fact and it supports my argument that it is quite possible for Jagex to help their players. Whether it is worth it or not to help players I guess is the question here. I feel it is worth it. Other people feel it is not worth it for Jagex to spend their time tracking down items.
