  1. If you can get a phat then get one. Otherwise get 99 mage. :)
  2. Are you able to use most if not all of the methods for getting around members? I had to do all those quests to be able to use all the ways of moving from place to place, it really makes RS better. I mean stuff like the fairy rings.
  3. Great article sees_all1! I read "Those 5% of Free Players" and I actually understood it even though I haven't even tried dungeoneering yet. I guess as a high level fp2 this would concern me if I did dungeons.
  4. I'm juts glad the game is still around for me to go back to from time to time and play. It's been what now? 9 years? And its still fun to play! That's petty good, IMO.
  5. The funny thing here to me is that when Godswords came out, for a long time afterwards every time I would use my whip, some random noobs would laugh and be like "oh you are so poor!" even though whip is much faster for regular mobs. Hahaha. Agreed. Well, I am a woman, I think looks are important. :P
  6. Well its fine so long as the number of clicks are reduced. I guess you don't save much time but the wear and tear on your clicking finger is reduced. I get tired sometimes from too muck clicking so this is a welcome update.
  7. Oh you mean *after* 99? I only cook while getting 99. Afterwards its pretty much over.
  8. Says the guy with 99 cooking lol! My goal:
  9. What is it good for? Okay, if you like cooking, by all means, do it. But I think there are a lot of lvl 90s that are just grinding through cook/fletch to get their 99. Uh cooking is good for cooking! You fish your fish and then cook it. I was not aware that anything else was needed.
  10. It's not just the bank. I would love more bank space but also there should be other storage places. Like in the fishing guild there could be a separate fish and supplies storage place or in the mining guild (which needs more/better rocks!) there should be an ore storage.

It was fun when I had an actual community of people to play with. Solo is not fun.

Well there are still quite a few players such as myself who have had their party hats since they were first released. *points to sig* I picked mine off the ground and now my bank is worth some ridiculously insane amount of gp so enormous it makes my head hurt to think of all those zeroes. Exactly. Lol. Phats are kind of weird now honestly. I just used to keep mine because they looked cool and were pretty rare. Now they are such a big deal and worth so much that I'm almost afraid to use them sometimes. edit:typo
  13. I only use Tip It. Been here too long to switch to another community and I don't really play RS much anymore so I don't need wikis and stuff.
  14. About the first article - Yes the problem I have with quests is that it forces the players to do so many things outside of the quest itself. The requirements for quests are getting out of hand with quests that require 5 other quests and those five quests have a total of 20 other quests that need to be done and those 20 also have quest requirements. Plus the skill requirement and now minigames? It's insane.
  15. Oh yeah, one tip is to find some questers to do quests with. Like use the quest server or find a clan chat with people who will also be doing quests. It's much more fun to do things together with other players. edit:typo
  16. Oh come on, 99 cooking is good enough as a starting point. Heck, I don't have 99 cooking. Plus, I think the emote is cool.

Agreed. I don't know why thy moved those threads. Whiners just got their way because they didn't like it but the rest of us were fine with having some simple "so what was your best kill" topics.
  18. If the were rude or annoying then I don't bless their grave. It's really not that big a deal for me so I will generally do the right thing.
  19. I'm too old for Runescape, too. Hehehehe. It makes me laugh sometimes when they put in some kiddy content in the game (wilderness ditch, for example).
  20. I got 4 99's (or was it 3 hmmm) before achievement cape and I would say back then it was a huge deal. I even got two 99's back in RS Classic when it was super hard to get. Now? Not so much. Still, if I didn't have a 99 skill I would definitely go for it ASAP. It's worth it to have a 99, especially since today it's really easier.

It's ok. I don't mind the layout of the wildy nowadays even if it is cluttered but the lack of danger is very boring.
  22. IMO just do whatever seems fun. I honestly prefer to play that way instead of worrying about "the best."
  23. Yeah, most people who start up a business at a young age have got no money (or not much) so they get their friends and relatives to invest a little on them. :) Nice vids, I wish I had been there with you guys! Come on, post a little story type thing about what it was like...
  24. Echo Bazaar, The Escapist Magazine's Top Browser MMORPG for 2009. It's pretty gothic and stuff but it's only meant to be played casually. I enjoy it.
  25. Ah so the graph does show a slightly declining player population. It's not bad at all for an old game like RS.
