  1. I wasn't aware of any humor in your previous posts (or mine for the matter). If it were funny, I would have laughed. This is a slight derailment of my previous point that people cannot work with/accept criticism anymore to become better. They also cannot be disagreed with. Wow, you really think that "no good luck for you" is dead serious? Also, you have honest answers and I overreacted? I did not ask a question. Why would you answer a question that hasn't been asked? Oh now I get it, people are just trolling for attention now. I still wish the other luck with their forums, especially the Ancient.
  2. Thank you for showing no sense of humor whatsoever.
  3. I never said anything about failure. It's definitely nothing new to go off split from Tip It. I feel it is a legit move if you aren't happy here. On the other hand, I really see no need to cry over it. In case you didn't get the other thing I was saying, Tip It killed their once thriving clan forums. I'm still trying to get over that...
  4. Are you giving me attitude??? Why are you explaining it to me? After I said this happens and that I have done the same in the past? I fully understand as not many people here do. That's real sympathy right there! Ok, no good luck for you then. Go away and go to your own forums if you are just gonna go on here snarking at the old players.
  5. Of course. Who cares about 100% consistency. Again, this is how it is done in other games. If they can't find it or its gone or destroyed, then that's that. At least you got your chance to get itgems back. As it is you get nothing, ever, even when it's dead simple to help. They just check the logs. This is the last time I will repeat this: If other games can do it, so can Jagex. Period. If you think it's impossible, that's your opinion. They could find Chessy's (or whatever the name is) items which clearly shows they can, in fact, track items. That's a fact and it supports my argument that it is quite possible for Jagex to help their players. Whether it is worth it or not to help players I guess is the question here. I feel it is worth it. Other people feel it is not worth it for Jagex to spend their time tracking down items.
  6. I don't go here for efficiency. I only go to Tip It for the community. You know what? I just talked to a friend of mine from RS and he asked me where he could get in touch with me and I said "Tip It, I always go back to that place." He just created an account here because I told him that its the best and oldest RS community with fewer noobs than any other fansite. Also, Meili is here which IMHO is very nice. ;) So yeah, like many others I'm still here, gonna stay here, still recruiting the players who who haven't joined our community because in my book if you haven't been to Tip It, you are missing out big time. I hope th flaming, trolling and spamming of the forums is over and we can get back to our regular discussions. That's what I thought, too lol. How is that a secret? I'm sure the older people here know that. Me and Fook also joined another forum that broke off from here. Oh wait... wasn't that with you? Hahahha! Das - remember what happened to the clan forums. It's still dead after all these years. D-E-A-D! There is like one post per day when there should be tonnes since RS has a very big and active clan community. Well it is probably too late for any advice lol though I did post that warning in another thread about increased moderation. I knew something bad was coming as soon as I saw that thread. Good luck to you then. I've done the same before. It's nothing new.
  7. It's also like that in other games. Not sure what you mean... If it was sold then they can get their RS gold back or whatever they traded for it. You would have to be stupid to create items. Jagex is not stupid. It wouldn't be easy but if other games can do it, so can Jagex. RS is around $80 a year to play ($7 a month, if I am correct), they can take 15 minutes of time to help you out, you know! It's not that hard. Now, in other games they do not take 1 hour to help you. They do whatever they can in a small amount of time. Sometimes people get their stuff back, sometimes they don't. Notice that in this particular case, Jagex could actually give back some (not all) of the items. So its obviously not impossible as many here would lead you believe. Jagex doesn't even try - and so many TipIters like it that way. It's mindboggling to me.
  8. Hello fellow TipIters! I am a bit concerned about the trolling thing. How strict is strict and what about long time users? As the others have mentioned here if Tip It is too strict then the userbase will just go away. I notice there are a lot of closed thread, for example. If people can't go on here and discuss things in an open manner then they will leave. Remember what happened to clan forums! Tip IT still hasn't recovered from that and it's been years.
  9. Meh, I can't believe so many people here actually support the idea of Jagex not returning items for bugs, hacking, cracking and such. Just because customer support has sucked doesn't mean it has to suck forever. You do know that even in other free games the game customer service does actually help and sometimes returns items if they can? I guess RS players like the bad customer support.
  10. meili replied to azn_purity's topic in RuneScape Classic
Hiya! I still lurk in the forums regularly but I barely play RS.
  11. Well that's my old thread and you must admit mine is actually written creatively. :) Jagex also twittered that link.
  12. Kinda DIY still makes sense even if you do have billions, as I do from playing so long and collecting rares from when they were first dropped. Yes, that is what I enjoy. It does have a lot of drawbacks - because my combat level is high players always expect me to use the best. I still remember how annoyed I was when some nerd ranted at me for 5 minutes for being "a sad high level" because I was using DIY'ing with my own arrows in p2p. I mean I actually took the trouble to - mine the ores - smith the arrowheads - woodcut the regular trees - fletch the logs - make the arrows It took forever! I was just trying to challenge myself but of course so many players worship at the altar of efficiency that it offends them when someone does something different.
  13. I'd prefer Ruenscape 2003.
  14. Combat all the way! Combat or nothing. Why is there no choice for pure combat (str att def)?
  15. Lumbridge because that is where newbies live and because it is old school. :)
  16. Hey Des are you playing again?
  17. I would never do anything I hate! This bonus exp weekend has messed up people's minds so I am glad I am not members this month. I would probably just ignore it anyway. agreed! bonus exp weekend sucks, it makes everyone feel like they need to play for ages, ruins the market and .. something else lol. i swear the jagex i know wouldn't do something as gimmicky as a bonux exp weekend. paah. In my case I am semi-retired and I have played for so long stuff like this doesn't really affect me but if this was 8 years ago when I was really leveling, I would be soooooo eager for bonus exp. I understand the OP in the gilded altar thread it must suck to actually get *less* exp than normal.
  18. It's the latter, Jagex has been aware of this since the first weekend and still somehow convince themselves that it doesn't need to be fixed. I was not aware of that! That is not right, whichever activity/item that gives the most exp should be the one to give an effect. Oh well, that's Jagex for you...
  19. Psst Jax, this isn't old Runescape. This is the report-happy, ban-frenzy one where you can't say anything without breaking the rules. A player in game said "nice website" to me (because I have a website, obviously) but I could not reply properly because doing so would be advertising in the game which is not allowed. Okay, maybe I am paranoid but that is how RS is today.
  20. I would never do anything I hate! This bonus exp weekend has messed up people's minds so I am glad I am not members this month. I would probably just ignore it anyway.
  21. Seems like a bug to me if its true! Or rather, an unfortunate side effect of double exp weekend, if it is true.
  22. Ok, got it. Now I just need to learn how to use the hide tags. :)
  23. The Runescape Wilderness - Meili's RS Blog Now in my previous post I talked about my old Runescape website's new design. The pictures are on my website and all the articles, stories, opinion, etc. are on my blog. My most popular posts include: Runescape Classic Pking and Why It Was So Good Runescape Forum Posters: Which Type Are You? RS2: Blaming Miniclip for all the evils of Runescape ...but there are many other posts. Here's a picture of the old magic system in RS Classic.
  24. Well just remember if you DIY, don't drive yourself nuts. ;) It can get quite crazy if you literally do every single thing by yourself.
  25. I just saw a picture of Pest Control right after the update. It was pretty empty. Apparently a lot of people are botting PC. Ew.
