How Long?
Blood runes would be tricky for jagex. Going along with the mind -> chaos -> death level intervals, the level for crafting blood runes would have to be past 99. Obviously they are 2x more powerful(according to jagex), so I propose that it will take 2 ess to make one blood rune. Considering how many(sometimes annoying) quests you had to do to finally have access to the death altar, no doubt the blood altar will be twice as hard. I have no idea on the soul one though, perhaps they'll make it like the blood rune(2 ess = one soul rune), but the level to make them would be lower than blood runes. The quest to access the altar could be a humongous, intense sequel to restlest ghost. :)

Split the General Discussion board
I 100% agree with this, excellent idea Adam. Infact, most of the ideas in the thread I agree with; making forums, not subforums, putting stickies up clarifying what should and what should not be posted in each forum, and a recent update forum(excellent idea there). I don't understand how you like it now, I find it absolutely terrible. Agreed, this topic hasn't even reached it's second page. We need more replies.

As your a new member you probably didn't know this doesn't belong here, it actually belongs in clan discussion. Ask a mod to move it.

The degrading community
thank you. finally someone who is also a little tired with people from 2005 and up complaining about the community. It doesn't matter when I joined tip.it, I know what I'm talking about. That's like saying someone with more posts than another user is always more mature, for example. That's completely wrong, I've seen people with 50 posts to be more mature than some of our senior 3000+ posts posters. I've personally talked with RSC verterans, as you may have read in the main post, and they are eye witnesses. What I say in my main post comes from people who joined in 2001. Vaskor- yeah, hi? I joined in 2001 pal. You miss my point completely. Everyone who seems to be complaining about the community these days are the people who joined when it was already bad, aka 2005 and up. Certain mods agree with me when I say that you all have nothing to be complaining about. It's the ones who were around back in 2001 who should complain, as it's you guys who ruined everything. Curse you, miniclip and any other site like it. No, I didn't miss your point at all. I talked with people who joined in 2001, so really it's like they're complaining in my main post. I joined in 2005 but does that mean that the community has not gotten worse than today? I do have something to complain about, and I have a right to complain about it, no one can ever take that away from me as long as it doesn't break the rules. Moderators are just players like us with a special previlage, don't go and assume all the mods will agree with your point. Please, I am doing this for your own protection, delete this sentence, it will offend a large amount of people. Try re-wording it, but don't assume everyone who joined in 2005-2007 ruined the game.

Jagex have messed up...
Try typing phone or telephone or cellphone in see what happens... i definatly knew what "phone" ment when i was 6 :wall: :wall: :wall: come on man !!!!!!!! try to think !!!!!!!! Would you like your kid to give away your/their phone number, email adress, HOME adress, or maybe where he goes to school to some 50 year old freak waiting to get into some more direct contact with him? We're talking about kids who cannot fully reason about the dangers yet, and as long as those kids get their parents to pay 5$ a month, jagex will want them in their game ;) Not that hard to understand :S Good thinking, I must say. If we could pull together a list of censored words and try to contemplate why jagex would censor particular words, perhaps we could please those in the community that disprove of jagex's "overcensoring."

If Tip.it had an Official guild...
more like 1000. A user with 1 post could be more mature than one with 1000, it would be a bad idea to base it on post count. I'd say you'd have to hyt people at least 50 people ingame(and they must be tip.iters!) :P

What makes a good quest?
I prefer mostly hard bosses, which I have yet to see. Recipe? Easy. Desert treasure? Easy. Whatever that recent lunar quest was? Easy. Jagex really needs to introduce a super-hard boss, to be honest I'm getting rather bored of this continuous line of easy monsters. I also like puzzles, so possibly have a mixture of these two in Mornings end part 3? The second one nearly drove me insane with the puzzles(even with the gudie!), but once I completed it I realised it was actually not that hard, it lacked a really hard boss(es).

Requesting lock
Yes I know that's a working name, I do agree it's quite confusing now. This is probably just a rough draft of what will happen if this idea is actually put into place. EDIT: Ok I see now that Adam has a much better idea than mine. I'll just post my thoughts on his.

The degrading community
It would be a great suggestion, but unfortunately tip.it cannot tell if people are lying about their age; just like jagex with their 13+ age limit. Joining the 'mature' group you suggest though could work if the requirements were actually based on how mature people think you are opposed to your 'age'. I thought up another idea to improve these boards. We can't totally eliminate the "who's your favorite god?" question topics, but we can separate them from the other topics. Take the general boards for example, all 'question' topics could be moved to an entirely different forum(question topic forum, I don't know I need a better name). All other topics could stay in the general boards, and I think that would drastically raise the maturity level of the discussions in the general boards without eliminiating it's popularity. Most people don't want these question topics right? That's already been proven with nearly 100% people in this topic, so it's obvious the new general boards would be just as, perhaps slightly less, popular than the old one. Along with that this change would also please those who wish to discuss matters in question topics, they would have a separate forum.

9th July 2007 - POH Room increase and more...
I assume you can raise your construction using tea to make more rooms? For example, I have 71 construction and with tea it would be 74, which would allow me to build 25 rooms.

That's quite an interesting theory, I never thought it that. Perhaps this is one of the main reasons contributing to the downgrading of this community? Nice thinking.

The degrading community
That's really sad to hear, thanks for sharing that with us though. It's nice to see an RSCer who can share his stories about the good times of the classic era. I dearly wish I was there to experience the once great community.

The Future of Dragon Items
Next time please try to keep the discussion in one topic, you don't need to make another, just respond with your opinion in the first one. Considering how many sharks I've heard people gobbling up at the mith dragons, I doubt if jagex releases runite dragons players would be killing them in bucketloads each trip. If a runite dragon was near level 500(far from the kalquite queen) like someone estimated a while back, you would be lucky just to get in 3 kills. On top of that, with jagex building up the suspence of this shiny red platebody, they would obviously have to make it a very rare drop. I doubt jagex will go past mith.

The degrading community
I felt back when there were two general boards f2p had only slightly more spam that p2p. The p2p boards was not perfect, it still had it's share of spam. I'm actually finding the merge to my liking- my topics get answered by twice as many people. I do agree, though, that this merge has slightly fueled this current problem.

The degrading community
Yeah, i overreacted a bit though, i realized that a while after the post, causing drama isn't gonna help the community. And yes you're right Mario, i agree with most of the things, allthough i don't think Tip It is in a decent shape. Decent yet degrading, and I meant that in the past it was great, better than 'decent' today.

I know, I read his post. I believe he feels the same way I do right now, just think of my article as an extended version of his quitting paragraphs.

I don't think the organisation of the boards has anything, if not little, to do with the problem.

The degrading community
Tip.it, the first ever Runescape fansite, and a great place to hang out and chat with friends, seems to me to be too overlooked to me. Once a great community, I feel, is slowly degrading. Ever since I joined in September of 2005 there have been topics that really don't spark any form of intelligence(i.e. "What's your favorite god?", topics that ask some simple question to the community). This is presumably one of the main problems causing this community̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s deterioration. I am looking on the General boards now, and 20 of the 43 topics I see are what I consider uninteresting/simple question topics. Unfortunately, most are not considered spam and have no reason under the tip.it official rules to be removed. These topics could even be traced back to the users themselves- the ones who actually make the topics. Once great leaders roamed the lands of tip.it forums, ones who others looked up to and were respected for their intelligence and maturity. They would say, ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅOh look it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s lightning!̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

I bet you never knew... ~\500+ facts collected/~
Who said that every thread is perfect? They aren't. Stop making excuses, and stop spamming on your thread, you don't need to reply to every single poster in many different posts. We don't tolerate that here at tip.it, it is considered spam. If you do want to reply to every single poster, why not just make one huge post and quote everyone? You could get away with it on the runescape forums, but tip.it is entirely different. Listen to kill_life, listen to the mods, and don't dis-obey the rules.

Jagex have messed up...
I think jagex figures that half the people that sign up to play runescape are lying and are under 13. And what can jagex do to stop them? They have no idea if they're lying or not. Because of this there are a large number of players below, and even well below the age of 12. So jagex makes their censors like their hosting a bunch of six year olds- which is a smart idea because they will also get the thumbs-up with parents for censoring so many words that six-year olds should know yet ;) . if the parents had any sense, they would read up on the game, and especially the age requirements. also, 90% of the players under 10 years old are probally F2P...so why are they catering to them? Because jagex still cares about f2p, don't think they totally ignore them. If they don't cater to f2p then possible members in the future who are f2p now might quit.

Party hat set - Items kept on death
Is that actually acurate? That would be pretty ironic too, since America's colors are red, white, and blue, and jagex castle is located in Europe. Erm... Anyway, you'll probably keep either the first three, the last three or any at random. Street prices don't determine real item values. Ah yes that seemed to have slipped my mind #-o . I guess what I was trying to say that whenever I hear the words "red, white, and blue," I think of America.
