  1. Because they were finishing up on god wars and didn't have time to get it out I assume? This is why behind the scenes should just completely be scrapped, people seem to feel like jagex HAVE to have it out if they announce it, it's not allowed to be late at all.. :? I assume it'll just be added in sometime next month. First, this whole examine items update could actually be in the game right now as a hidden update. They've done that sometimes; they announce a minor update to items and such in BTS but release them later as a hidden update. Another possible conclusion could be they could update it either today or tomorrow, those dates still falling in the month of August. Oh by the way, in response to the quote I quoted; Behind the scenes are always released the first day of the month, with the exception of that day being a weekend date, then they will release it the first weekday. I believe that is how it works.
  2. If this godsword is tradable I can seriously see it going for 50M+ and stabling at around 20M. If you're extremely lucky to even get a peice of the godsword from those lvl 600 creatures, you'll still need two more peices to make the full sword. Even then you have to have 80 smithing or a very trustworthy friend.
  3. Wow... thanks all I can say... :ohnoes:
  4. People are trying to sell dragon boots for 50M+ sheesh. The buying prices seem to be around 1-4M though, that seems reasonable for a first day release price. I'm definately getting a pair when the prices fall again. Oh by the way, does anyone know if any of the peices of the godsword is tradable?
  5. Because Bush is lame, the maximum after FDR is two terms, or both? No I believe you can only get two terms in a row, but you can always come back after another president has done his/her term(s) and do a third term, and maybe even fourth. But now that many, many people dislike bush I don't think he even has a chance at getting a third term.
  6. First off, I'm glad you didn't make this an issue of flatout saying "OMGZ I HATE RC PKERS THEY SHOULD ALL DIE," those rants annoy me so much. You're actually one of the few who hasn't used an excessive amount of CAPS or cussing. :? I can agree that rc pking is easier, but I do not necessarly view them as "lazy." I say let them stand on a hill for hours on end, it's their choice if they want to be bored to death. Some people rc pk not necessarly for the glories, as one of my interviewers states, but for fun. So, I don't agree that they are lazy, infact some of them will fight back when attacked by a pker. They just want to pk like every other pker out there.
  7. Simple question; how often to tortoises drop their shell and on average, how many shells per kill? Oh while I'm at it, how much crafting experience is given per shell exchanged in the goblin city?
  8. My friend recieved a "may guthix be with you" at the end of his reply to his appeal on a permanent ban. :? Back on topic: It's just jagex's way of saying "have a nice day," I find some of them funny. :P
  9. Actually during a TET trawler event we tried that theory out. The first run we caught x fish(I can't remember, was very long ago), bailing the second the boat filled with water. The second run we tried letting the boat fill up(reached about 3/4 if I remember correctly) and then bailed, and repeated that. We caught more fish(infact over 1k+ more I believe) than the first trip, with the same amount of people. Goes against logic? I can name a hundred things in this game that go against logic. It's a game, things don't exactly have to make sence. You can't catch a lobster by dipping a cage for one second in a small stream, you can't pickpocket someone and get away with it when you're right in front of them, you can't grow a tree in two hours. Oh by the way the chances of forming an organised team in that trawler world is like the chances of bush getting a third term. It's never going to happen.
  10. A couple days ago I was browsing tif's general forums when I came across a thread concerning rc pking. As I viewed the replies I saw some negative comments going towards rc pkers; generally false accusations(i.e. all rc pkers are no lifes) from angry runecrafters. Are all rc pkers really no-lifes? Do they really stand on one hill for hours just to get a free glory? Do all of them teleport the second they are attacked by another pker? These accusations seemed very far-fetched to me, so I decided to do some research. I interviewed three different rc pkers; all whom said they had rc pked 5+ times. These people were chosen at random near the zamorak mage who teleports you to the abyss. Below you will find the exact three interviews; absolutely no spelling/grammar mistakes taken out, exactly what they said, or I suppose in better terms, typed. These interviews were taken in a private IRC channel. Their names will remain unknown. I am an abyssal runecrafter myself(82 rc) who actively uses the abyss. From personal experience nearly every rc pker I have come by is well-mannered. They don't start screaming their head off and cussing at me, something I expected before I started abyssal runecrafting. I've talked to many rc pkers while observing the edge wilderness with no armor, they are just like normal pkers who just want to pk. Personally, I think every rcer should accept the fact that there will always be rc pkers, whether they like it or not. You enter the wilderness, you take the risk of being player-killed. Jagex made the enterance to the abyss in the wilderness for a reason- the abyss would be incredibly unbalanced without the danger of real world people(pkers) killing you. Rcers need to stop complaining and adapt. They need to think of ways to avoid them, dodge them, but not whine and moan. Can you think of any point in Runescape history where jagex listened to whiners and complainers? Yes, there are a few, but a handful of the updates you see coming out are actually thought out by well-mannered players who have posted their idea in the suggestions forum, not the rants forum. Rc pkers are just like normal pkers; they just want to pk.
  11. Agreed, there are not enough mods on at a time. But when they are on they are doing their job, so at least their not sitting on their lazy butts doing nothing. :P I remember today there was someone who had 10+ accounts constantly switching back and worth through them doing the rapid @ spam until he got banned. One hour later he was back at it again, I'm glad a moderator was there to ban him. Moderators are just normal people who have real life issues and things to do like everyone else. I suppose, though, a little admin encouragement could get a little more in there.
  12. You can ask that question in the Help and Advise forum. This forum is meant for guides and feedback posted on the guides only. Anything else doesn't belong here. Additionally, you can find many different money-making guides in this same forum using the search option found at the top of the page.
  13. I suspect one of those server crashes is going to happen soon with all these server problems. Don't trade any expensive items while these problems are going on as you might lose them during the server crash.
  14. I suggest you all start buying them up, I can see a price raise coming up. :-k If the regeneration bracelets are really that cheap, I'm sure the demand will start going up, therefore raising the price. I'm going to go buy myself one right now infact.
  15. 1. If a friend from RL lent you a party hat to wear once and give back, would you take it? I neither lend or allow friends to lend me items that exceed 10M in value. 2. If an ingame friend gave you his partyhat to wear then give back, would you take it? If I did allow him, exluding my 10M+ rule, I would return it. To not give it back would be ruining my repuation on tip.it as well as runescape which I have so dearly built up and preserved for a long time. 3. If a rich person you hardly knew lent you his partyhat to wear and give back, would you take it? Refer to number two. 4. If you knew someones password, and knew they were rich, would you take thier stuff? Refer to number two. 5. Would you kill a skulled person in the wilderness for a partyhat? Why wouldn't you? It's the wilderness right? Anything goes. 6. Would you accept a duel with a much lower level that stakes all his money (say 5 mil)? I never stake and do not take risks. And Finally, the big one that expect the vary the most 7. If someone died, and dropped something valuable, would you give it back. AND how valuable would it have to be for you to keep it?It would have to be something like a full party hat set or something around that value. With that much money I could buy my way through skills therefore increasing my gp per hour. In otherwords, I would be set for life.

What about the camulet teleport? It teleports you right in the cavern visited during Enakhra's Lament, a shorter and faster way to the granite rocks, if I am not mistaken. If you are going to mention this is your guide I also suggest that you include that you should carry a decent amount of camel dung around(when poured over the camulet, it is recharged; four charges). You could always equip the camulet as you mine so it does not take up any inventory space. Good guide, 8/10, nice pictures too :)
  17. Honestly? I'd have to try that out though, but if it proves to work then I might as well share it with people in my guide. :)
  18. Exactly. Jagex, I think, already know that if this chatroom were to be created there would be an incredible amount of j-mod lovers who squeal like little girls when they see the famous golden crown. Even though j mods could simply ban the naughty players, I think it would put an incredible amount of stress on j mods if they were doing it constantly.
  19. I hope you don't plan on simply adding them to your friends list and having a nice chat with them concerning your account's status? You know that's not at all possible. Or I suppose if you claim to be permenantely banned, I think it will only worsen the situation if you try to use the 'comment on our service' for an appeal. Unless, of course, you are trying to somehow contact them in the real world, but I have my doubts as you seem to just want to know their 'game' names. If you feel your account has been wrongly banned, permenant bans always come with one appeal, and one appeal only. If you have already used this up, then your chances are slim that you can continue to play runescape again, being your character banned. I'm sorry to be so negative, but you should really use the one appeal wisely, make it as convincing as possible.
  20. In this situation I don't think it's demand dramatically affecting the prices. It takes a good 8 hours to grow a magic tree, and it could even die in the process. Even when you dig it up you only recieve one magic root. So, assuming you checked back every once and a while to the tree, I'm sure you could get around 2, maybe even 3 a day. So, my theory is, it's not so the demand, it's how hard it is to obtain magic roots.
  21. I was just reviewing replies to your guide, and one comment popped out at me just now. Have you ever considered a section in your guide that shows what to do level by level? I think that would be a very helpful addition to your guide, considering it is already jam-packed with every single possible thing to do with herblore! Oh, and sorry for ruining your guide. :( [/justkidding]
  22. Haha, very nice pictures :P
  23. Oh, like you haven't spammed at all in your runescape life? I've never agreed to the idea of permanent mutes. Now I can see if someone does a severe rule-breaking ingame in front of a moderator they should deserve a mute, but temporary just seems too harsh. What I'm saying is, with the temporary one you can learn from your mistakes during your punishment period and never do it again. But with permanent mutes, jagex doesn't give you a second chance. Take this thread starter(I can't find your name :| , sorry) for instance, he's obviously learned from his mistakes and will probably never do it again, but he will never get that chance. Muted people deserve second chances. I do not agree, though, that jagex viewed this as "raising the punishments." To them it was just another update. In other words, I don't think jagex made this update to increase the punishment, it was simply an update that had been suggested many times by players and need to be added in this year(according to jagex's promise in early 2007 following the clan riot). I'm unsure if you are suggesting this though, I could be wrong. Oh and to all the rest of you who keep insulting the thread starter- try to show some respect. Obviously he has learned from his mistakes, that's a big thing to do, surely he deserves some sympathy for that. I do not think he appreciates these negative comments.
  24.
