  1. Nonsence! :) I've always enjoyed reading over these historical topics, no matter how "nerdy" some people must view them as. Although I usually don't indulge in the conversation myself, I love the theories(sometimes wild) that players propose. I suppose you could call me a runescape nerd. :-k
  2. Glad to help out with the experiment; I will be looking foward to the results. Combat Level: 92 Master: Chaeldar Monsters: 143 turoths
  3. So they get 100 posts, then they post a keylogger, I'm sure 60% of the users will trust the link if its professional looking since the user has 100 posts. Limitations don't work out, and I don't see how they ever could I was expecting this answer; very well.
  4. Tip.it staff > keyloggers :) It's a nice idea, but what if you're *not* a keylogger and you accidentally put the wrong link in your post to say, a youtube video? Obviously you'd want to edit it and put in the good link. Although people seem to be opposed to the "low posters should not be able to do this... blah blah blah" this could be something to consider. Perhaps users with less than 100 posts could not edit their links? By 100 posts I think we can confirm most of them are not keyloggers(keyloggers would be frustrated getting in 100 non-rule breaking posts just to post a keylogger link).
  5. To go along further with skatedog's arguements, I don't think a second subforum is really necessary. Questionnaires were piling up in the general board, that is exactly why a seperate subforum was made. Theories, on the other hand, make up a fraction of topics on the GB. Also- by creating a third division of the GB you are spliting the traffic. GB users have always loved the large number of people on the board because topics get answered faster than any other forum(even the staff takes advantage of this sometimes). I think it would be best to preserve the GB's high popularity. To add to skatedogs' arguments cocerning amount of discussion in the theory topics- topics of these types can actually evolve into a large discussion; where the theory itself is sometimes changed and re-arranged by strong arguements into a very likely, acceptable future update.

Where is bobbington! :P He always seems to pop up in these types of rants(particularly directly mentioning moderators). Well that about sums it up. I'll have to put my part though. Most player mods are actually very approachable, friendly, and funny(as you've seen in this situation) people. They are specifically chosen for their well-mannered behavior, low blackmark record, and the amount and quality of the report queries they send in(feel free to add anymore). If you see a porposefully rude moderator then you should report him if he happens to break any rules. The fault, in my opinion, lies in jagex for choosing that moderator; but the actual moderator should also take part of the blame. You will rarely come across any rude moderators.
  7. There are quite a lot actually :) . I do believe there is a sticky in the RSOF for suggesting new skills; the jmods have done an awesome job compiling all the suggestions and putting it neaty organised in the main posts. I don't have the quickfind, but I believe it's in the suggestions forum.
  8. There's recently been some other rumors and hints that the slayer masters'(particularly durael) assignments are chaning. This may not be the case though. You may have just stumbled upon a bad case of luck; and I don't think your few tasks are enough to conclude anything. If, perhaps, you were to get 50 or so tasks from durael, record them, and post your results, then your theory might be true(it would take quite a while though). Around 50 tasks would definately eliminate the possible "bad luck" factor. It would be a nice test if anyone would try it. If multiple people tried it there could even be multiple conclusions(e.g. the higher your combat the higher level monsters you recieve, ect.).
  9. And hurt large numbers of innocent people in the process to handle a small group of rule breakers? ... Are you mentally underdeveloped?!?!? :x (Pardon me, but you really make me angry with your insensitivity.) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull How do you mean "hurt large numbers of innocent people..."? Imagine if you have played runescape for five years+ with 6 99 stats and 200M+ cash, a full phat set, and had never autoed in your life. Now imagine if you had a little brother who somehow got into autoing. He starts autoing and jagex catches him; they ip ban him and you both get banned. Another situation; you go over to your friends house who is autoing. You start to play on that computer and when jagex catches your friend you both get banned. And another for those library/internet cafe users; many people share those computers and it is possible someone has autoed. So unless jagex are very sure that they've caught the autoer and no innocents, they won't IP ban.
  10. Never thought about it that way. :-k There's been an update to the amount of cash given to runners per trade. It has gone from 2k to now 3.5k. This is mostly to bring in more runners(there seems to be a lack of them); and most crafters seemed to be willing to pay more per trade. Infact, I'm willing to spend 1M on getting some runecrafting experience down there, I'll have to give it a shot myself one day.
  11. This is copied from the thread on RSOF:
  12. Well I'm sure many other players thought of making an unofficial world(or perhaps they were too busy ZMI crafting!), but I was one of the first to start a thread about it.
  13. Why should we not make it easier? The ZMI altar was meant to be a place for fast runecrafting experience, why should we ignore it?
  14. 1 Square Radius Abandoning? How so? I'm completely devoted to this world! :P
  15. Actually you gain the runes back crafting, just a little bit though. Glories, on the other hand, you must recharge, which takes a chuck of time out of your runecrafting. glory is free tele, how many glory bankings before you recharge would you consider more beneficial... i have 40 glories, not alot id say, average. i know some people with pushing 300... now dont you think thats worth saving a few runes? i assume your law teleing back to some place so i guess if you had 100 glories and stopped rcing to do something recharging 50 wouldnt be a big deal. im just saying im not sure how many trips id do in a day, but 28*4=112 is plenty for me in a day i think. i dunno i dont rc much. if we are talking about speed, then you can't really teleport quickly with a glory, firstly you have to operate it, and then choose the option you want, unlike 1 click teles on the spellbook. but im not refering to speed really, and the glory seems to 1 of the quicker jewelery teles, but i mean rune saving especially law saving. beside does it really cut down that much time? to tele some where? im not always interested in fastest possible, but conveniently fast is good enough especially if i dont have to end up buying laws via through the runes i made, because isnt their the chance i might not make back the exact or more laws&astrals i used? The telegroup moonclan would be best because the people you are teleporting get a totally free teleport. Yes, I do know people who have 300+ glories; but the average person usually has only 5-15. Also remember that the majority of the runecrafters there do not choose to use the abyss and therefore don't have as much use for several glories than those who use the abyss.

  17. Glad to see some supporters! I've just now posted a thread on the RSOF, I'll post the quickfind in the main post.
  18. :) http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=701032 By the way I'll start crafting there in a few minutes.
  19. A few days ago I started a thread on the RSOF asking 'scapers to make world 70 the "unofficial" ZMI crafting world. How did it turn out? A complete sucess! Already by that day over 60 crafters and 10 fighters were using world 70 for all their ZMI needs. What did this world include? Teleothers back to moonclan. With a higher populated ZMI world, a 'teleother system' was established. Basically, anyone with the level to moonclan teleother would bring an earth/mud/lava staff and teleother those who didn't have the level to lunar isle. This way more people can recieve free teleports without wasting any runes. This world was also used as a world to kill the zamorakian monsters that are scattered throughout the short path. With fighters keeping monsters distracted runecrafters had a safe trip to the altar. During peak hours there were usually more than enough fighters covering the monsters. I have also established a runner-crafter system in which there are runners bringing pure ess to idle crafters, which will give crafters the same experience per hour as fast free laws but less money loss per trade. Oct. 2: World 70 becomes official as jagex states world 70 is the new ZMI crafting world in the server select page. This is truly a great example of what at first a single idea of a ZMI world can turn in to. Not familiar with ZMI? Read up on it in this topic. Additionally, search "ZMI" in the Knowledge base and click on the first article. Sound interesting? Support world 70 by using it for ZMI crafting or fighting. Details are found on the RSOF thread. 20. Thanks for the information guys! :)
  21. There should be a dedicated world for this. Ah so the lunar teleport is faster because you don't have to run back to the bank? Very smart.
  22. Hi everyone, I am planning to add a brand new section to my abyss guide. This section will include a complete guide on using the new ZMI altar. What I need from you right now is information to add to this section. I would appreciate if you had any of this information: [*:3l9grhxf]Do you get less higher level runes the lower your runecrafting, and vice versa for high? [*:3l9grhxf]Please list all the runes you get from 15 minutes of going back and forth to the ZMI altar and your runecrafting level. Please take the short path. Any runecrafting level woudl be helpful. [*:3l9grhxf]Please list the experience per 15 minutes and your runecrafitng level while using the shorter path. Any runecrafting level would be helpful. [*:3l9grhxf]Is there any sort of runecrafting requirement? [*:3l9grhxf]What armor setup have you found to be the best and why? [*:3l9grhxf]Have you developed any strategy to make the trips go faster? [*:3l9grhxf]If you have ANY information at all that you think is useful about the ZMI altar please list it. Staff note: I did not post this in the ZMI discussion topic because this isn't really a dicussion. I did not post it in the guides forum because it really isn't a guide :\. You may move it to a different forum if you think it does not belong here.
