The Dragon Slayer's Blog - 10001 dragons slain
I was about to answer you, but you logged out on me silly. :P I'll tell you in TSA chat when I see you; and next time keep stuff like this on the clan, not blogscape.

Why'd you quit?
Although I haven't quit runescape(yet), I can explain why the poll numbers were unusually high. If you look around tip.it, past the players just struggling to get an easter, you'll discover many tip.iters that hold a large amount of wealth(ex. Duke Freedom was a huge merchant back then, but has retired since then) or some with many super high skills(Valerie, Wakka, ect.). I think some of the old timers, even though they might have quit runescape, still hang out at tip.it because it's overall just a great place to chat. I remember a topic that brought up the idea that tip.it was harder to quit than runescape, and that is certainly right for our tif veterans out there.

The Ultimate Aviansie Slaying Guide
There can be more than one guide on something, have you seen the amount of Barrows guides or money-making guides out there? His guide is better than yours anyway... Competiton should be welcomed. :) It encourges both guide holders to make their guide the best, and I'm sure the readers would love to see both guides improved.

Aviansies, the Perfect Magic/Ranged Training Monster
Very nice, detailed guide. I went in there after reading this guide and snatched up 100+ addy bars, made some more bolts, and kept on fighting. Superb job. :) I also like the fact that there are now two aviansies guides. I believe both will spark competition, and that means both will update their guide to be the best.

Abyss pkers will attack anything that moves...
Perhaps it has evolved into some unofficial pking world. Besides that, abyss pkers know what they're doing, and I don't think they'll hang around one world just to kill ZMI crafters, who rarely come up compared to the regular abyss runner. If this is a big problem I wish I could change the world, but it would be hard as it is official. (I was the founder of the World 70 company, which has now, as you can see, evolved into an official world)

Grand Exchange = Jagex Economy Manipulation?
The problem I can see with that suggestion is that if jagex actually did this in secret players could trace the plan back to here and find out that jagex was responsible for the manipulation of rares. Imagine the riots and revolts if players discovered jagex was behind ruining rare merchants. Another problem- jagex would be breaking their own rules! Price manipulation is not so common ingame, but on the forums moderators are trained to enforce it. If jagex broke this rule they would be setting an extremely bad example for other players. Also- I think rares are generally an accepted part of the game now. Yes, rares will eventually reach an incredibly high price and I admire anyone who tries to find a solution to this problem. But this idea would not benifit rare merchants. Even though jagex might keep it secret, tens of thousands of rare holders would go broke. Hard earned rares that players invested in would be worthless- hundreds(possibly thousands) of hours of work to get enough money to buy a rare would be wasted. Overall though- your idea is very creative. I've only seen this mentioned once in my entire time of being an active runescape player- opposed to the common rare cliches(ex. get rid of all rares, give every player a phat).

Thanks spat. :) The main reason though that I'm not posting the pictures is because a lot of pictures lags a blog. I don't want people getting massive lags when they open my blog, so I'm keeping it low on the pictures. I do, however, post my most recent level up.

The Hidden Cost Of Production in RS & The Grand Exchange
There were a couple theories that I found interesting that have been suggested on many threads on the affect the GE will have. First, the GE will most likely not make the forums obsolete. Rather, if there is no selling tax involved, they will balance eachother out. An equal amount of people will use the forums as well as the GE. If there is tax, and a small percentage, I could see this being a great way for popular low price items(yew longs, nats, ect.) to be sold at a good price. However, it will be a serious blow for merchants, with or without tax. Then there are the rares. With the tax, rare merchants would be paying hundreds of thousands of gp per trade. Rare merchants would definately stick to the forums. Even if there is no tax, I don't think rare merchants will very much like the GE. The GE will stabilize prices; if you're a buyer and search "easter egg," you'll see a list of players selling eggs with prices compared right next to eachother. Now, obviously you're going to choose the lowest one, ignoring all the other high prices which push the easter egg up. I think rare merchants will stick to the forums.

All Clans Invited to 20M Drop Party
I love how you're using an event to get the word of a campaign out, very nice idea. We could use something like this in some of CTET's future events. :) I'll be talking to my clan leader- hopefully you will see TSA there! :P

RS official forums finally EXPLODED!!!
I've read through some of the rants on the RSOF. Past the ignorant kiddies and the furious ranters, I've actually found a decent arguement. Although I might have put it nicer, there's a lengthy part of the arguement. This is interesting too, this player argues that now anyone can make anything, as long as they have a willing-to-help friend. A level 3 can 'fish' sharks on his first day, now that seems pretty amazing to me. But there is a counterarguement to that- the exp limit per day. Although it is a bit more than I would have wanted, 30,000 exp per day is a pretty good number to balance things out. And of course you have to find a person to do this for you. This is comparable to begging- and how many times have you seen people actually give something decent to beggars? With that, I don't think this will have any significant change on the value of skills or the economy.

Good job on 99 fishing(almost)! That's an awesome achievement, I can't wait to see that sky-blue cape on you! :)

Do you think Andrew and Paul
I think the main problem was the rants board. That one forum has been, and still is a growing disaster. The thoughtless rants only spawn more thoughtless rants, and the community has generally gone way downhill. I can almost garantee that without a rants board runescape today would be dramatically better. If I could go back in time before runescape 2 was created, I would definately try to convince the founders to hold off on the rants forum.

I'll make sure to comment on it!!! Thanks for the post! ~~~ ========== Date: 11/1/07 Starting Count: 5116 Finishing Count: 5859 Fish Caught: 743 ========== I also love the lay-out, it looks very clean and organised. If I decide to make mine big I'll definately make it like yours, good job. :) Also, congratulations on the 80 fishing! I know what great of an achievement that is, it definately took a lot of dedicated work! Good luck on getting your 99's! :P

I've actually become fond of woodcutting, it doesn't bore me as much as it used to. I might consider getting this to 99 in the future, but for now I'm shooting for just fours stats 90+.
