Frogs, bankers, men, knights, dragons, guards, Chaos E..? We see those things 30x more than we see the KQ. And how many times have people actually been motivated to fight these NPCs after the update? Maybe for one or two days there would be a small surge of, for example, guard drops when they are updated, but to be honest the killing rate steadies out to be the same like before the update. Now if jagex were to update an NPCs drops, making them better, it would be a different story. But bottom line, graphics updates do not affect the kill rate. Show me the statistics \ The IMMEDIATE purpose of the update was NOT to increase the number of KQ killers. The immediate purpose of the update was to increase interest in the KQ so that KQ killing would go up over a long period of time. I don't need any statistics, it's a fact. See for yourself when this KQ makeover update comes out. I'll refer back to my original post: Thomas- Jagex are doing this for a reason. Simply put, the KQ needs updating to catch up with all the other NPCs.

I think you are overeacting just a bit. Just because they change the look of the queen doesn't mean veracers will come pouring in. I bet some of them are just going to have a small peak at the new look, it doesn't necessarly mean they will kill her more. I don't think jagex even intended for this update to lower dragon chain prices. According to jagex's prices the dragon chain should be way less than 15M, but honestly when's the last time they actually cared about the player controlled economy? Contruction was probably the most recent, and that was well over a year ago. I believe they are just updating the KQ because they think it needs updating, just to catch will all the other NPCs they are re-doing.

I hope they only use it for training. :anxious: Tell me if an obby pure goes pking with that thing. :P

I don't think that part or any of the haiku is supposed to mean anything, it's just something jagex put together. Honestly do you really believe jagex is going to introduce player owned cabbage? :| I don't see how that links to player owned dogs, besides the 'man's best friend part', but I think that was directed toward the cabbage. Would be funny though.

I feel this update will barely affect rc pking actually. Lets consider the cost of diamonds. It is about 10k each for a ring of life, and although I am not certain what the exact price is, I think we can safely estimate it is around 5-10k. The diamond braclets also take a time to make and require several indredients. You must have a gold bar, a diamond, a braclet mould, and enough runes for level 4 enchant. You must smelt the gold, resmelt it into a bracelet and then enchant it. Now even though this could be done in about a minute, crafters will most likely be making a mass amount of these. That means crafters will have to buy all those diamons, which will really add up in the long run. It might not seem like alot, but little things add up to big things. Continuing on with the actual bracelet, let us consider that this new item actually has charges and will 'burn up' just like a ring of life. The abyssal bracelet only has 5 charges, and then it goes away forever, goodbye diamond. Really I consider the bracelet a pest, it's just like recharging a glory every 5 rounds. Third, I'm sure a fraction of our tip.it community are decent runecrafters. With the right equipment and a vast knowledge of pkers and their actions, it is almost impossible to actually be killed by a pker. Some people immeadiately think abyssal runecrafting is very dangerous, when you can actually dramatically reduce the risk if you know what you're doing. The only real threat to runecrafters are teleblockers, and they are quite rare. Most of them snare first too, so you can easily teleport away before they teleblock you. I do not consider being skulled a big problem, in fact I think it would make barely any difference if the abyss didn't skull you. Really I don't think anyone has to worry about this. Rc pking will stay alive. I despise rc pkers, and not respect them. The fact that they think they can get an easy kill from runecrafters, and actually get it sometimes from the inexperienced, makes me frustrated. I believe pkers should stick with their own kind. I accept the fact that I am in the wilderness though, and that I could be killed. If I am killed I will only blame myself. In my opinion this update only helped the inexperienced rcers, who might have trouble staying alive the first few thousand natures. Experienced rcers should not waste their money on this, a ring of life is good enough.

It is exactly like the ring of wealth, it will slowly add up and soon you will see yourself saving alot of money on food. Hp you would normally restore wasting food that costs money would now be cut in half.

New event posted. Hawk- Sorry I didn't respond to you, I had so many pms about lost people, confused people, ect., I couldn't answer everyone. I would have let you run the event for a little while, but I was planning on making some detours that weren't mentioned in the topic.

I suppose I could be pretty rich by now :P , but I prefer to start small and build my way up, it makes it more of a challenge.

Basically a looter is someone who attempts to steal items from a discarded death pile. This could mean a two way fight, or a massive clan war. Looters rush to a death pile and pick up anything they want to that is left there and hopefully do not get killed. They are somewhat looked down upon in this community.

What? he said accounts that kill looters. Really I found his post to be very confusing, I believe he mentioned "looter killers" somewhere in there though.

Wow, what a great story. I've only just finished the first post, but I had to reply it was so good. You really get into the story, it's entertaining, already full of action, and you want to read MORE! One of the better stories of the library, please continue it! :P

The update only takes a few more clicks, you will have to get use to it. That is considered cheating. I'm glad they updated it so the teams can actually be balanced. I believe there was a glitch earlier that allowed players to venture out of the team lobby area into the main lobby still holding the cwars equipment. It would explain why they updated it. This was a very very good update in my opinion. No longer will everyone attack the cades for experience. It makes the cade set-uppers mad and generally fellow teammates.

The rule remains: You cannot pick up any item in any way or accept an item for free.

I must say this was a very sucessful event, I loved it! The KQ fight was actually pretty funny because we killed it :XD: . I died right before the second form died, so unfortunately I did not have a chance at the drop. :( Very nice screenies everyone, I hope you enjoyed the event.
