  1. Oh pie... you look so delicious =P~ I mean... good luck on 99 fm!
  2. I don't think there is any level requirment, but if one were to do it at that level they might find themselves failing alot.
  3. If you don't know what you're doing, yes it is. The trick is to kill it's little servants, they only have 20hp but they hit really high on you and deplete your sharks like crazy. Also thanks for the information ^
  4. Thanks everyone, I might start putting this together soon.
  5. I'm looking for quality pictures, not with the background taken out but with the actual fighting. Thanks for the information though. :)
  6. That would be great :P Try to get pictures with no private messages and you striking the boss with your weapon when it is at about end or mid health. Thanks :)
  7. I'm going to transform this into a guide soon if it gets good feedback, where else would I post this? General p2p? Seems odd to post a soon to be guide there...
  8. I've noticed in most of the tip.it quest guides that when it comes to killing bosses it barely gives you any information on how to actually kill it. Some may just say "use melee", or "bring good food", or some just say "kill it". While on my quest to all quests completed, I noticed this when fighting certain bosses. It made me quite mad that the quest guide mentioned barely anything about killing barrelchest- which I heard from my friends is quite a challenging boss with constant 20-25's. Luckly my friends just told me to use a whip, but your friends won't always be there when you seek some boss advise. Now I thought... how about a quest bosses guide? Being master of quests, this could be a great guide to make. There is also the disadvantage of the questcape, it means you've already done all the quests and I probably didn't take any pictures of the bosses. That's why I would need alot of help with pictures and information. Some fights I have completely forgotten, some I remember clearly. This would be a huge project, it might even match my abyssal guide, which has exceeded the word limit for it's first post(I didn't even know there was a word limit until then!). Now I am wondering, is this a good idea? Would you find it helpful? Would you help with the information and pictures :P ? The main boss(giant scarab) only attacks with melee and mage, but as you progress in the battle you will find yourself battling all three types of combat. For now though just use protect from melee and your dragonhide should protect well against magic attacks. Also before the battle drink all of your potions. In the beginning of the battle you should use all of your dds specials, trying to poison the boss if you can. It's okay if you don't, it just might be a little helpful. Once your specials have run low you can switch to your main weapon. Now some people here turn on the additional str and attack prayer, but I have beaten it easily without them, besides, they suck your prayer like crazy. If you feel like you shoul use them though, be prepared to drink your prayer potion alot. Start whipping/d scimmying your way through the boss, he should hit 0's and then a rather large number near the 20's. Right when you get hit I suggest you eat your food, as it is usually followed up by another large number. Don't freak out when fighting this boss, it might seem really powerful but you will think at the end how easy it was. *middle of fighting boss picture* At some point through the battle a strange monster should appear beside you. These "servants" that the scarab has hit just as high as the scarab. It might seem like an impossible fight, but the weakness actually lies in the servant's hp. Ever servant you will encounter there will only have 20hp, something you should be able to kill in 1-3 hits. The minute you see one of the servants spawn go after him or you'll be stuffing sharks down your throat. There are three types of servants, and they all have different forms of attacks; one with melee, one with mage, and one with range. Once you have killed them, focus your attention back on the boss while occasionally checking your prayer points. If you ever feel as if you are dying during battle go ahead and don't be afraid to click your one click teleport. Continue the process of killing the boss and the servants when they pop up until you see the scarab kneel before you in defeat. Congratulations. *boss with complete red bar over head* Haunted mine (Quest guide) Treus Dayth(level 95) (Bestiary) Suggested stats [*:2douj65n]50+ defense [*:2douj65n]50+ attack [*:2douj65n]50+ strength [*:2douj65n]40+ prayer Suggested equipment [*:2douj65n]Dds [*:2douj65n]Whip > dragon scimitar [*:2douj65n]Full rune [*:2douj65n]Helm of neitiznot > rune full helm [*:2douj65n]Rune kite [*:2douj65n]Strength amulet [*:2douj65n]Armored boots > climbing boots [*:2douj65n]Armored gloves > Klank's gauntlets [*:2douj65n]Ring of life Suggested inventory [*:2douj65n]Ectophial > Teletablets [*:2douj65n](A)Tuna potatoes > sharks [*:2douj65n](1)Super attack potion> attack potion [*:2douj65n](1)Super strength potion > strength potion [*:2douj65n](1)Super defense potion> defense potion [*:2douj65n](1)Prayer potion(4 dose) Attacking Monster attacks with: Melee, Range You should attack with: Melee Before you start this battle, even enter the room, drink all three of your potions. 9. Why not instead of instead of saying it's "horrible" offer some advice to the guide?(well unless they totally didn't even try) I suggest instead of just pictures and a few words you offer a more detailed wordy guide. Lots of good pictures(which you already have I can see) and some in-depth information make a great guide.
  10. I feel that idea is a complete waste of time, you could be runecrafting than testing your combat skills. Pkers are not idiots, you're not 100% garantee to get free mage armor/runes. Many people stereotype the average pker as being a stupid low life who just wants to kill people and has anger management problems. But really there are some professional pkers out there, and it's pretty hard to kill them unless you know what you are doing. I'm getting a bit off the main subject there, but honestly I don't recommend this. After all, there will always been rc pkers, killing a couple won't solve your problem.
  11. Thanks, I'm glad both of you enjoyed the guide. Unfortunately I am really exhausted from writing this guide, so I'm not going to update it now. When I feel like it though I will add those suggestions.
  12. Consider this: Does a santa come with an emote? :-s
  13. Ah thanks for pointing that out. I too, have read that story and recognized the name "fortunado" but could not put my finger on it. I love hearing about real world references ingame. :)
  14. Yea I just owned the queen for the 235243452377874182nd time and yea this is what I gots
  15. Indeed, the pots don't last that long. It seriously took like 5 seconds for my agility level to go from 70 to 69 when I was potting for the pipes to the blue dragons. Be sure you are prepared to go in immeadiately when you sniff your pot.
  16. Very, very nice guide. I'd not hesitate to say this is one of the better guides on these boards, congratulations. I'm sure you spend hours upon hours putting this together, and I'm sure you feel it was worth it, I sure do :P . Not only is this a great guide, you have personally encouraged me to start farming again. I am currently the level of 53 and even so close to 60, I'm sure this guide will be very handy, there were some tips I did not know. I have a couple watermelon seeds sitting in my bank and I'm sure my limpwurts are lonely too :) . Once again, great guide.
  17. Thanks anyway :-k
  18. Yea sniff... I mean drink your pot at level 53.
  19. Hi, I'm thinking about maxing out agility. I've asked my fletching cape personally and alot of girl capes(especially the woodcutting ones) are turning him down because he isn't trimmed. I feel sorry for my cape, so maybe an agility cape will keep him company and also make him trimmed. I will be purchasing 2k super energy potions. Now I am wondering, how far will that get me doing ape atoll with a spottier cape and boots of lightness from my current level, 71? -Thanks :)
  20. I have 400 Monkfish in the bank, althought I carry 2 incase the monsters in the abyss get lucky. And the steel axe is because it was a random drop from a monster. I don't bring a pickaxe because my Wc is higher ;) If are you writing a guide then maybe you shouldn't do it depending on your levels, just generally what's faster. In fact this whole guide seems to be pointed at that. You should also mention that you will need a large supply of monkfish in your bank, it's a bit deceiving when you only say 1 or 2.
  21. You will only need a pickaxe, not a woodcutting axe. Might I suggest a mith pick? When it comes to the abyss it does not matter which pick you use, they all mine the same rate. Mith is also the only pickaxe that weights 0.00kg. Also- you are going to need waaay more than 1 to 2 peices of food if you want to become a serious runecrafter. I'd say on average I eat 10 monkfish a day when seriously runecrafting. I see your point of bringing food, after all I suppose even medium levels need them in the abyss. Although I am pretty sure I got by ok without food in my inventory(rather stored in my bank) when I was combat 70. Might I suggest the ectophial for a one click teleport? Not only does it have unlimited uses, it teleports you near a bank and is easily replacable if lost. I've noticed a couple things wrong with your equipment. Some of it really doesn't make sence at all. I'd rather not explain it here, just go to my guide. Your backway path that you take can really add up time wise. Also there are no skeletons to protect you and most pkers out there are not idiots- like most stereotypes suggest. They know when they're being tricked and will attack you. Also please refer to my Strategy section in my guide. Overall, a good start :) . It needs some more pictures though and a bit more information.
  22. No offence sirgudi, but I found kid's post to be alot less... confusing. :-k Try explaining how to kill them more and include some pictures!
  23. Good luck on your first 99 Shey, it's a toughie in any skill, but it's worth it at the end! :P   \ :-s   :-X O:)
  24. I don't know why people are saying 20, there are waaay more than 20 out there in my opinion. Think about it, if there were only 20 I'd bet the prices would be way past 1B. :| I'm going to have to go with 100+
