  1. If your combat lv is high enough it will pay off. An actual barrows frop happens about 1 in 18 runs, but the cheapest thing you can get is like 300k.. The runes in the chest will replace your slayer dart runes, and when you finally get a barrows drop, your pray pots will be paid off many times over.
  2. If your f2p you have these options: 1. Go to the bone yard (lv 20 or so wild) and gather the bones and bury. This way is pretty fast considering it's free, but pkers and skeletons get annoying. 2. Buy big bones and bury as the other guy said p2p can: 1. Buying dragpn bones and using them on a guilded alter is the fastest way to get 99 prayer but you need 51,724 drag bones. Thats about 85m, which is a lot cheaper then big bones 2. Killing dragons/baby dragons depending on your level is a good way to raise prayer. But really, fast and cheap really don't go together at all.
  3. My friend used to train at the bandit camp. He said it was awsome cause he could make anchovie pizzas. The cook sells bases (50 ea i think) and there is a cheese and tomato respawn in there as well as a range. You can also fish anchovies, and add them. Just train on bandits while waiting for the respawn and watch out for pkers. And yes it is f2p
  4. 9/10 Zammy brews? maybe the new mixing ability can help with the hp burn. That may make it worth the extra spot. Do sara mixes heal you more above max hp then sara brews?
  5. I'm making a whole bunch (about 1k) ttabs, and I was wondering where the best place to mine clay is.
  6. 5 mins ago, I got 49 minds and 7 trout, from a lv 1
  7. You report them under offensive language. But it tends to work better if you mention in the chat that the person has an offensive name, just before you report them.(it gives jagex a better idea of why you are actually reporting them) Only report really inapropriate names though.

I have played pest control, and have heard a lot about how it's good for training. Though I have only manage to get about 2 or 3 points an hour. I always hit 50 damage. I was wondering how I could raise the amount of points I get. Stats: Hp: 66 Str: 65 Att: 70 Def: 60 Range: 45 Magic: 61 I tend to go in as melee, cause it doesn't cost any resources. I tend to run to the east or west portal(which ever one I see a group of people run to) and work my way south. I was wondering what I should raise to be more sucessfull at it, or if there is some tactic I am just missing.
  9. Do the following: 1. Run a virus check. You always start there. 2. Do a spyware/adware check. If you don't have any anti-spyware, look up "spybot search and destroy" on a search engine. 3. Make sure you don't have like a gillion things on one powerbar. Also make sure your power cord is properly attached. 4. Go to your fuse/breaker panel. If you're using breakers, turn the power to that room off, wait about 5 minutes and turn it back on. If you're using fuses, replace the fuse. Though you probly want to get your parents to do this, cause i don't know how old you are. It may have nothing to do with your computer. Edit: 5. In the tech/computer forums, someone said clean your system fans. You should try that if you know how.
  10. You seem to be f2p, and wanting to make a pure mage. Keep your att and str low, so your combat level is mage based, you shouldn't need to use melee weapons on rangers. The def issue is pretty much only for a sheild in f2p, so pick which sheild you want: -Anti-Dragon: This is a fairly weak sheild, but gives no mage penalties, so if nothing else put one of these on. -Rune Square: This is what I suggest, if your only problem is rangers. Even though this is a very uncommon sheild, it gives the same range defense as a rune kite, but weighs less, and gives a slightly less of a mage penalty (square is -6, kite is -8). It's also cheaper, but a bit harder to find. -Rune Kite: This is what a lot of high lv mages use, it's better then a rune square when in melee combat, but you want to avoid melee combat if possible. Though it's a lot easier to get a hold of in f2p then a square. Basically, stay far from other players, and mage them from a distance, throwing the ocasional bind to keep them at bay. And if you're fighting alone, run away from groups of archers, you're doomed to fight them anyway.
  11. I would say it's a form of drop trading. Cause when you kill someone (or something) you pretty much own the drops. So it's almost like a drop trade between accounts, without the droping part. One of your accounts is working for the other one, so they are interacting.
  12. You could buy a whole bunch of yew or mage longs, as well as some nats, and alch them. This is pretty fast and very cheap, I think you can make money doing this even. If your f2p you could alch steel plates. Buy 1k ea on forums, buy a nat for each one and alch.
  13. k thnx a bunch
  14. I've seen it before on the forums before, and i've even been to it. But I forgot which world is the aircrafting world.I've been searching the forums for at least half an hour trying to find it. Can someone tell me which world it is plz?
  15. I think free players should be able to do more things with paying members. That way the game is more fun for the people that can't pay the $5 a month, and so the people who are too cheap are more likley to pay. F2p people should be able to go into p2p people's houses. To check them out and do some of the activities. This will be fun and show the f2p people what membership is like. Jagex should focus more on making the game fun, instead of making the game more profitable. If everyone leaves because the game is boring, no profits will be made. Also as stated many times before: Capes of achievment symbolize a great acheivment, and should be given to anyone who can achieve it, not just members.
  16. Luring is not a scam. There is nothing against it in the rules. Having said this, a lot of the time, it is used with another sam that is a scam, such a someone saying "Bring your armour to the wilderness, and i'll trim it for you!" Just use some common sense, don't bring anything that you be really sad you lost into the wilderness.(A bit angry cause you lost a whip, maybe. But if the whip was the only thing you had, you shouldn't be brining it into the wilderness!)
  17. Current combat stats: attack: 67 strength: 63 Defense: 60 Hp: 66 I am getting all three of these to lv 70. I am f2p, and training on ice warriors and ice giants.I wear full rune, cape , stronghold boots, dvambs , and a str ammy to train. Since this will take quite a while, I want to make it efficient as possible. I was wondering: 1. Will my Hp be 70+ when my def,str and att are all 70+?. 2. Is strength ammy the way to go, or is power ammy better? 3. What order should I train my stats in, or should I just be training in "controlled" until my defense reaches 70?
  18. I support this. Though I don't think it will ever be fully implemented, even pieces of it would be a nice adition to the current bank system.
  19. My best piece of advice is to talk to cutomer support about this. They can help you a lot more then any one here could.
  20. I am currently trying to get to lv 70 mining and lv 70 smithing.I am lv 63 smithing and lv 66 mining. Also magic lv is high enough to do high alching. My cash is fairly low atm (around 250k) and I was wondering what the fastest method is.
  21. This technique seems to be ok, just so long that you are pushing the keys, and you don't get a friend, or make a program to do it for you. I am on a laptop and I don't have a mouse, does that mean I am cheating? No I thought not. If you don't like this technique, you could pull the ball out of your mouse (If you have that kind of mouse), and move the cursor onto the item. Then just click away with the mouse that won't move.
  22. I looked into it deeper and your right about the refresh thing. I'll fix that now. Edit: fixed now. I also added a bit on monitor brightness.
  23. Ergonomics is one of the most important skills to learn. This guide will teach you how to train in ergonomics. Many people lack the sufficient skill in ergonomics, and thus are not getting sufficient training/ merchanting in. Countless people have also been needlessly pked because they where lacking ergonomics. This guide will take about 10 minutes to read, and will make you more productive at all the rest of you rs skills. You are probably thinking "Ergonomics, i haven't even heard of that skill before, your probably making that stuff up." Well here is what ergonomics is: taking less damage. Yes thats right you are taking damage all the time while playing runescape. No not your character, you are. You know the one reading this guide right now. From this point on whenever you see the word 'you' in this guide, I'm referring to the reader, not the runescape character. This guide is not a joke! Following the simple steps in this guide will make playing runescape more fun. Just trust me on this one, I know what I am talking about. So anyways there are three main types of damage you are dealt: 1. Eye damage / Headaches 2. Wrist/hand damage 3. Back/Hip damage. 1. Eye damage/headache  If you play runescape for a very long period of time, chances are your eyes will be sore. Remember the 20 minute - 20 second rule. Every 20 minutes stop looking at the screen for 20 seconds. Look at a far away object or look out the window. Don't stare at it, just look at it. While looking at it, count to 20 slowly. If you doing combat training, make your character eat something before this break, that way you won't need to worry about dying, it's only 20 seconds You should set the refresh rate of your monitor to be higher. Lower refresh rates cause screen flickering, even though you can't see it, it's there. Also, make sure the brightness on your monitor is resonable and nice on your eyes. If the brightness is too low, your need to squint more, which hurts your eyes. If it's too high, the light can hurt your eyes. If your eyes do get sore while playing, here is how to fix that: 1. Log out of runescape (this procedure takes 2-3 minutes) 2. If you wear glasses or contacts, take them off/out. 3. rub your hands together for about a minute, to get them nice and warm 4. Slightly cup your hands, close your eyes, and gently place your warm hands over your eyes. (don't press on your eyes :shame: ) 5. wait for about 1-2 minutes, your eyes should be better now. If this doesn't work, microwave (yes microwave!) a damp cloth for 5-10 seconds, so it is warm to touch (not hot, you don't want to be burnt now). lay down on your couch or bed, close your eyes, and place the cloth on them. Wait a few minutes your eyes should feel better now. If neither of those two procedures worked, stop using the computer. You may want to take a small 15 minute nap right now. -.- (Not joking!) :ohnoes: 2. Wrist/hand damage :ohnoes: Most people do not type properly. Your not supposed to rest your hands on the keyboard or desk, unless you have a wrist rest. Keep your hands straight, don't over bend them. Your supposed to type like this: - Don't crack your knuckles. Thats not the sound your fingers are supposed to make. It's really bad for them. - Take a break from typing every 10-15 minutes for at least 20 seconds. This isn't much of a problem when playing online games, but use this as an excuse not to do your homework. (lol jking. Do your homework, just take breaks) Back/Hip damage Your back is important. It attaches you to the rest of you. Without it, you would be a very gross blob of gelatin stuff (eww). So being so important you need to take care of it. You should sit up straight whist on the computer. In a nice comfy supportive chair (only fools sit on stools). And sit like the guy in the picture: Also you should stand up and stretch at least once an hour. Other tips -Sleep! You need 7-9 hours a day of this stuff. This will make you more alert, and more efficient at everything you do - Eat! Eat stuff. Nothing is worse then a rumbly tummy while pking!!!! - Breaks! Taking breaks will make the game less boring. - Go outside?!?! Yes go outside. Once a day at least. Breath some fresh air, get hit by some sunrays. Well that concludes my guide on one of the most important skill. Though this stuff may sound dumb, it actually does help a lot.
