What weapon are you using? I think that Zanik's crossbow would be the best option. Good damage, very quick to get. 6K cash should be enough for everything. I've actually been using melee, and using a addy hasta (best stab wep i can make with 1 addy bar) I never thought of using zanik's crossbow, that could cut some serious time off. -goes to do it- Completing a clue would be very very time consuming, I might add it later. And you can't kill a dag king by yourself, that would involve including another person, and that just adds all sorts of complications.

I can't see why not, however in my opinion it would be a waste seeing as it takes a few hours to get to rune usually, and its not that good if you're going for speed. You would start at bronze btw. Congrats. I added a logical rule, f2p challenges are to be done on f2p worlds, because well, they're f2p challenges lol. You appear to be in a p2p world, but it wasn't a rule before, and you seem to be using f2p items. So it counts.

Killing a Lesser and Greater Demon won't be much of a problem, Silverlight and prayer flashing (along with monk robes from the monastery), though, killing a Cockroach Knight might be a bit hard, considering they don't exist. I think that you meant Cockroach Soldier. Anyways, a nice idea, but you might want to work on your F2P list. PS: Killing a Revenant Knight is pretty hard in F2P (even normally). I couldn't think of anything hard for F2P, when I was f2p, lessers where a fairly easy challenge with gear, and i could kill a few greaters without too much problem. Someone else said cockroach knight in an earlier post, so I just thought the big ones where called knights, sorry about that. But yes, the F2P list needs work, I just am at a lack of ideas for it.

Believe it or not 99k is a hell of a lot of money doing this. Legends is a nice cape because its like 500 gp, and almost as good. But yes, if you really wanted to you could buy a skill cape. The store rule was awkwardly worded. Its more of a "You can only buy things from a shop, if you could have if you where the only person in rs" kinda thing. So your friend can't sell something to the shop so you can buy it/

I got 350k slayer xp over a weekend, including random lamps, and about 5 penguin points, but no quests. I wasn't really trying to see how much i could get, but I maxed at 250k slay xp in a 24 hour period. I also cashed in my charms once, from lv low 70s to low 80s, and got 2m xp in a few hours.

I'm not sure if the duke will give you an anti-fire shield if you have a dragonfire shield. If he doesn't, I think the only item you should be allowed to start with is an anti-fire shield, because you can't really expect someone to sell their dragonfire shield for this, plus you pretty much start 15 seconds away. Other then that I can't see any beginner gear that wouldn't affect how the challenge is too much. I myself am trying to do the bandos solo one atm. I'm going to be fair and not use a whip. Being able to use the ge in anyway would ruin it. I'm still not sure about the req assist thing. The point of it is you do it on your own. Pretty much, I think if you could do it with all your normal gear relatively easily, you could probably pull it off. You would be surprised how hard it would still be. It took me 10 minutes to get the addy ores I needed for an addy scim. I never thought about that. I would say yes, just no costume room. Yes, you just can't take out items you put in. Half the challenge is being limited to 39 total spaces.

This is absolute nonsense. Sure I have never been in software development...how does this mean I can't expect them to do their job well? Since you have never been a pilot, you have no reason to expect your flight not to crash. Since you haven't been a chef you have no reason to get mad if you get crappy food. Jagex wanted to release something nice for 150, and they weren't able to. If your company is gonna put out subpar content that is fine but I would at least like them to achieve their own goals and expectations. Not constantly miss the mark by months at a time. There has probably been some set backs. Quests are huge chunks of code that take months and months to make, so being a couple months slow isn't too bad. They probly had a sweet quest for 150, but they couldn't release it for a while, so they rushed the end of the goblin quest to put it out to make people happy. ((Storyline wise, the quest was great. And in my opinion it was one of the best quests... up until the point where you fought zannik, it all seemed very rushed from there)) My hope is that we'll get the updates we where going to get in the first part of the year spread out through the summer. But yes, so far its been very lacking this year.

Jagex did pretty much go from two guys in a basement to a multi million dollar cooperation. Music and sound effects are one of those lower priority things, plus its pretty expensive. Hiring a band/orchestra for even a few days could cost a ton of cash, and they probably only recently got the budget to pay for something more then keyboard generated music.

But seriously, runescape cannot be blamed for this. No one is holding a gun to the kid's head and forcing them to play 12 hours a day and eating Twinkies for lunch. If you're concerned your kid isn't getting enough exercise, kick them off the computer and send them outside.

Ever thought that maybe soloing the kbd is a little too easy? Are the barrows tunnels just a bit too simple? Well, here is a challenge to spice it up a little. Here is the gist. You need to complete a task, without help from others, starting with nothing, not being able to access your bank. This forces you to have to build up some equipment, and an inventory as fast as you can, to see if you can do it faster then other people. You may be surprised what you can actually do with some items normally considered junk. I got the idea from a bunch of places. I enjoy "running" games like mario bros, zelda ect. I find its fun finding a new way to cut down your time. I also when I was lv 20-30, used to do "wilderness raids". Where i would go in to the wildy avoiding pkers and the dangerous chaos dwarves, to see how much loot I could get out of the wilderness, one time I even got 6k in loot :o. So I fused the idea together and came up with this challange. Now that we're beyond my lame story, here's the rules: - You must start in lumbridge, where you spawn, wearing nothing, with nothing in your inventory. - You are not allowed to access your bank, or the grand exchange while you're doing a challenge. - You're not allowed to trade or use the assist system. - You're not allowed to have anyone else deal any damage to something you're fighting. -You can't buy an item another player sold to a store. -You can't pick an item off the ground someone else dropped there. -You can't harvest any of your farming produce to use during the challange, unless you planted it during the challange. -You're not allowed to do any quests, sub quests, or mini games, including penguins. You are allowed to use quest rewards though, if you can re-obtain them. -You're not allowed to die. Death = you need to restart. -the F2P challenges must be done on f2p worlds. -No holiday items. Ice necklace and the broom are exceptions, because they're quest rewards. Some things that are allowed: -You can deposit items in your bank via deposit box, you just can't get them back. Say you got a key half or a handful of charms you didn't need for the challenge, but you'd like to keep, feel free to chuck them in your bank via deposit box. -You can ask friends for advice, you just can't get them to do anything for you. Some tips: [*] Don't expect to be doing a lot of these challenges with full barrows, a dfs and a whip. You're probably going to have to bottom feed off steel-addy items for a lot of them. [*] The more achievement diaries and quests you've done, the better. [*] Thieving is very very useful. HAM members give you steel hatchets and picks, and thieving guards or knights is a fast way to get pure cash. [*] If you want to charter from port sarim to somewhere, its usually cheaper to go to karamja and charter from there. [*] If you just want that extra boost of speed, train agility. The energy you recover from a few extra levels could really add up over the course of a run. [*] Start off in a non ls world. Hopping wastes time, and its hard to find an empty ls world for soloing. Also make sure you start off with full hp, pray, and run energy. [*] Also, before you go to all the bother of gathering everything the hard way, buy the gear you think you're going to get on the ge and go complete the task. That way you'll know if you're strategy will work before you invest a lot of time on the run. Going by yourself is a pretty intense thing to do. I've been going by myself today as an idea for a challenge type thing, where you need to complete a task as fast as you can, without any help. I was actually going to post it, and seen your thread and just had to reply to it lol. From my experience, this list is a little flawed, it would be something like this: Ring: Warrior ring > Berserker ring >Archer ring > no ring You do not want a ring of life, unless you're just learning and have a back up tanker. Someone in your team should be able to bless, and most of the time you'll recover from being under 9 hp. You teleing leaves your team without a tanker, and i've seen Graar drop 2-3 people because their tanker died. This is also one of the few times warrior is better the berserker because he's got such a high def. And archer gives +4 ranged def bonus, making it better then nothing. Cape: Fire cape> Skillcape(t)> Skillcape > Zamorak >Cape/Cloak Fire cape vs skillcape(t) is debatable, but other then a showing off standpoint, fire cape is superior in every way to a untrimmed skill cape. You may also want to include the dart method of tanking, where you throw a steel dart at graardor as your first attack, this make catching him very easy, and I never miss him, even on a touchpad. (Unless I'm very tired because its 3:30am =p) Good guide, but if you put a bit more into it, It could be a lot better.

I have a quest cape. Its an achievement cape, not a skill cape, so it didn't count.

I find a lot of people usually just rush out and get some level 99 skill so they can wear a cape. Personally, I like my stats more or less balanced, and I didn't want anyone to say that I just rushed out and got a skill cape as fast as I possibly could. So to sure to myself that I wouldn't rush out and get a skill cape, I set myself a goal to get 2k total before getting any 99s at all. This lets me also have decent all around stats, and somewhat balanced levels. Here are the levels I got today, in order. Sorry about the bad pic setups, one of my friends had to rush off to class, so they're rushed. I got 91 sum. I set up for about 15 minutes to be 1 xp from 91 sum, then accidentally got it while training pray (gave me 1997 total). GF me. -__- Most of you will agree, this is the most impressive level of them all. (gave me 1998 total): To be honest, this one was a last minute thing. I was going to get 74 con, but this seemed cooler. (for 1999 total): Here is me getting 2k total, still with no 99s, thus completing my goal of 2k total without a skillcape (on a pretty snazy level too): Then, I finally got my first 99: The reason it says I got 2000 total on the hp window is because I never clicked on any of the skills I got before then. You can't see it in the pic, but slayer, pray and cook are still blinking. I feel like a elite spammer for posting another thread with my other one still being posted on, but the other is about a week old, and there's about a 50/50 chance I wouldn't have posted it if I didn't set it up for April fool's.
