  1. 5/10, you gotta start somewhere.
  2. Defense can stay put, thats fine. But 70 prayer might be worth the cb levels (piety is ftw, the knights room will be a pain though) and summoning doesn't affect your combat level in anywhere it matters.
  3. No, this isn't a "I just got a 98, but going for 99" thread. This is actually something I knew would inevitably happen on my goal to 99 slay, its maxed melee in one attack. I trained from somewhere in the high 80s, via slayer, on controlled, unless I was on a waterfiend task with a borrowed sara sword, or adjusting my stats for balance. Here's me getting it: Yes, I fail at taking pictures. For some reason, I kept pressing the F keys, because my print screen button is in an awkward place on my keyboard. For anyone interested, I did get them all in one single controlled attack, and the game congratulated me in Attack, then Defense, then Strength. Here is a pic of my capes, taken after everyone left, and after I realized I screwed up all the pics. :wall: Hate or Rate, but don't mas.. nvm.
  4. There are 22 ls worlds. I would say, on average, its 30 seconds-1 minute to kill him, and 2 minutes to respawn. So, with kills being 2:30 each, you're getting about 24 kills/hr. So, 24 kills an hour, over 22 ls worlds is 528 kills/hr, or 12,672/day. I have no idea about soloers or teams on non ls worlds, but I would say the vast majority of bandos kills are done in ls teams. So 15k kills/day seems a lot more reasonable to me.
  5. Answered what I could. Don't yell at me if somethings wrong
  6. No, the lightning will hit the tree rather than you (Assuming the tree is taller than you are). It will try to hit the tallest object to ground itself. And you're not as nice of a ground as the tree, since it has to do more work to get to you (work as in the literal physics meaning of work, force*distance, force is constant, distance to you is greater than the distance to the tree) You have a higher chance of being crushed to death by the falling tree that was just stuck by lighting, then you have of being hit by the lightning. I would deem a lot of disconnections an "act of god", rather then blaming them on someone. Other then that though, its often the person's fault. I see stuff all the time like "It wasn't my fault I died, my prayer ran out and graardor hit a 60 on me", and blaming it on jagex as if Andrew himself hacked the game right at that instant, drained your prayer, and programed graar to hit higher.
  7. Unholy ashes? Which do what? It wouldn't exactly make sense if they gave prayer exp... Why can't they just have the same function as any other bones? It's only ashes, and it doesn't HAVE to be like normal ash. Besides, realistically speaking you can still 'bury' ashes. In a lot of cultures, they ceremonially scatter your ashes to the wind instead of burying your boxed up, pickled corpse. I can't see how scattering the ashes of a demon would be any different. Shades and vyrewatch are holy things now? =p I see this having little impact on the market. Dagganoth bones may go down, all the ancestral bones will go down and keys will go down. I see ourg bones settling somewhere around 7-9k. Dragon will probably not be effected. People will most likely bury them on site, and only bank/sell 5-6 of them a trip tops.
  8. I for some reason will never see my self as high leveled. I remember when I used to look up to lv 80's like they where high leveled. But its a little weird for me now, with the level 138s, the highest possible combat, being a darkish orange colour instead of that dark red their supposed to be. But, rs hasn't changed for me much. I've almost always kept to myself, just casually talking to people who I'm training with. Its just, now instead of killing cows and goblins with my steel long, I'm killing abyssal demons, dragons, and other things. Achieving milestones is nice, but I don't think I was much happier getting 99 hp then say, 75 hp. And as far as high leveled activities go, I started doing gwd at lv 90. I even pulled off soloing zammy at lv 95. (by complete luck, but w/e)

Casting cure plant on dead herbs makes it say: "It says 'Cure', not 'Resurrect'. Although death may arise from disease, it is not in itself a disease and hence cannot be cure. So there." I was very amused by that.
  10. Turning the censor off is a bad idea, in my opinion. But having too much of a censor causes difficulty playing. But at least its not as bad as before, when mistyping "You should go to Ardougne" could look like you're massively insulting someone.
  11. Maybe. I can only see this happening in one way. When you're training a melee stat, you get a +3 hidden bonus to that stat while training it, +1 to each while on controlled. Back in rsc it used to tell you this, but now its just hidden. ((If you don't believe me, look at tip.it's own max hit calc, your max goes up a little on agressive)). So my theory is yes, your statement could be true. If you miss an attack, while on defensive or controlled, you may lose that +3 or +1 hidden def bonus. This would be very very tedius and difficult to prove though. Though this theoretical change would have an effect on your odds of getting hit, most likely you're just getting unlucky, or your opponent is pulling out piety or some other prayer to beat you down while you're eating.
  12. I'm gonna add this to the front page. Sorry, must have accidentally removed it while updating scores, my bad. I'll add it back. And i'll update the front sometime during this slay task ( been slaying a lot lately I've gotten about 800k so far this week). Updated it now, if I messed anything up yell at me and I'll fix it.
  13. Very nice milestone to get. I'm surprised to see your prayer is a little low for your combat. You really should get 70, it helps a ton.
  14. I've got some updating to do. If I missed your post, please yell at me.
  15. I was happy when I got a firecape, and showed it off to my friends. Yes, a lot of people have a firecape, but I died 4 times on Jad and I kept going, and finally got it. I was pretty proud of my achievement, even though it was small. Same thing with a lesser extent with void, it took me hours to get, and I was happy when I got it. 2000 total and 99 HP where much bigger achievements to me, so I was a lot happier about them, however, that doesn't mean my lowly firecape wasn't an achievement anymore. Any 99 is tough, some more then others, but even 99 cook is an achievement.
  16. I was gathering supplies to make ppots. I just so happened to get an avantoe and an extra snape grass.
  17. 100k = 5 hours tops, casual slaying. You can not bank on gettin amazing tasks for XP continually. I typically get 25k xp/hr average, training slayer. Doing tasks that range from 16k/hr, to tasks that give 50k+/hr. Waterfiends, abyssal demons, spiritual mages, fire giants, dust devils and black drags sit in the 23-26k/hr range. Skeletal wyverns and iron drags sit in the 16-18k/hr range, and cannonable tasks I do, which are black demons, daggonoth, suqahs, goraks, and aberrant specters, are 35k+/hr. So, with a mixed bag of slayer tasks, I get somewhere around 25k/hr slay xp, including banking, buying supplies and the odd herb run.
  18. 100k = 5 hours tops, casual slaying.
  19. If you did everything efficiently, slayer is the slowest skill in the game. Hard is a relative term, and lv 85 is about 1/4 of the way to 99. If you're training focused, you get 4 xp in the skill you're training in per damage, 1.33hp xp, and 1 slayer xp per hitpoint of the monster you're assigned to kill, making slayer 4x slower then a combat skill when you're training it. So, in my eyes, I see 85 slayer to be at par with a 99 combat skill. (Hp doesn't count to me, it just happens.) 85 slayer isn't that hard, but neither is a 99 combat stat. Note that I don't have any 99 combat stats, but I have more then double the required slay xp for 85.
  20. Yay someone completed another uncompleted challange. ^^ ((yes, it probly was a little dumb to post a pic of being at the GE, you where almost asking for what happened.)) I'm taking part in a slayer race ((me 92-99, friend from 62?-85)), so I probably won't be trying for any of the bigger challenges anytime soon. I'll still take a whack at them when I need a break though. (I have an idea of using bolt spells for the barrows run, getting runes from paladins, but I want to get my thieving up past the 80s first) I'll update the scores in a sec.
  21. I found it strangely amusing that i decided to read this article during a spiritual mage task. I only steal kills if people are trying to steal my world. Otherwise, i usually hop.
  22. I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"
  23. I personally wouldn't mind dragon slayer 2 to come out.
  24. I've tried it six times, I think: one steel platebody, three cabbages and two irrelevants (by which I mean stuff around the level of a bronze sword). The best thing you can get from that is the Uncut Diamond (about 7k), you can also get 10 Bloods or 20 Natures. You can get a half key.

I'm pretty sure there's give or take 387634876438724 Monty Python references in rs. Herring + tree = lol
