People don't need to assume that because there's plenty (like me) who lives there and tests every possible method. Save yourself two inventory space, mage robes are not necessary. Barrows is a slow money maker if you expect to use it consistently, compare to other money-making methods (rc, green dragon, merchant, etc). You may get lucky a few times, but once you start to do the runs day-in day-out, probability catches up to you. However, it's still great way to make money if you consider the exp you're getting. Being fun doesn't hurt either.

I been playing and there's definitely a hidden update about this. The southern shifter only occasionally appear now. I suppose JaGex noticed this game has become a little to easy and decided to change some of their formulas.

Magic Dart's not effected by your magic attack bonus. I always magic dart with at least -30 bonus and it did not differ from when I have +80 bonus. If it's affected by it, I'll be missing ever shot /w -30.
