And youtubes a homage for darwin awards. I think you're dumb as to fall for a lure, even when it was easy to get lured I managed not to. I hung round edge with a santa and didnt listen to the people trying to lure obv.. One time I almost got got by the tele to wildy lure. But I just think fairplay mate. I think its sweet as, shouldnt be against rules (grey area right now) and I would love to start luring witha good team :)

a normal human being. people judge drug addicts, id say that what they are doing is just as bad a as a drug addict. 15 hours a day straight pretty much 2 years???! that means that one you're not working/ in education (probably). They probably have no friends, real friends yeah. I dunno.. pretty much they're living a lie. I think I have every right to judge someones life if it's obviously impacting them in a bad way and they don't realise. or maybe they're disabled. other than being disabled there is no excuse to play that much :thumbsup:

No [cabbage] mate, i know how many people have 99s. At what point did I amke out I didn't. Yeah but they don't make there money on how many hours they play a month, unless f2p, they make it just on people playing it enough to wanna buy membership. For me that's like 10 hours min. I dunno I think maybe people wouldn't go for as many 99s if there was a lower exp requirement, possbily using different ways to train? I dunno.. but is it not mad thatthey originally started with that much exp to get 99?? Also i think its irresponsible to make a game where that much time needs to be put in..

I was just browsing through high scores earlier and looking at the people with maxed EXP in skills and I just thought to myself, why did Jagex ever make the experience bar so high? I mean especailly in original RuneScape where 20k exp/hr was good training for many skills. Do you think Jagex expected many people to ever reach 99, because (especially originally) there is so much clicking involved in getting that much exp! It's hard to imagine that when originally starting out Jagex expected people to spend 100s of hours of their life on a game that may have died along the way. The max EXP I'm sure JAgex wouldn't have expected anyone to achieve, but they have! I personally think that the game would have benefited a lot from having a max exp of 50m, possibly even 13m! I'm sure that RuneScape would seem like much less of a grindfest, as well as allowing people to actually complete the game, kind of. I think that allowing people to spend thousands of hours to get 200m in a skill on a game that benefits you in know way is very irresponsible. Or similarly if there were no max EXP this game could continue forever but people may still not grind as heavily as there isn't an end in sight. Maybe the gowers pre emted how big this game could get, if there had been lower exp requirements, or no exp past 99 the game definately wouldn't be the same, possibly as big, as it is now.. What do you think? Why would someone make such massive time requirements for a simple game? Would it be better if there was no EXP limit? Would you prefer exp requirements to be lower, say 7m or so?

Some of the contenders have been playing 15+ hours a day for years now. That is INCREDIBLY sad. We probably shouldn't be egging them on because to play 15 hours or more for 2 years is just terrible! I'd put them in rehab if I knew them IRL.. the probably don't even know anyone IRL if they play that much, ddaang. Maybe Jagex should do them all a favour and ban their accounts!

Many of the items on the Grand Exchange are priced as they are because you lose them on death. Take the Guthan's set for example. Helmet: High alch = 61k GE Price = 1.2mil Platebody: High alch = 168k GE Price = 666k Both items are rare drops that can only be brought into the economy through Barrows mini-game. When a player's drop pile disappears, the helm is removed from the economy. The platebody, however, is more likely to remain on the player when they respawn. Less helmets in the economy, mixed with more players replacing helmets, equates to more demand and less supply, ergo higher price. By placing the Grand Exchange price as the basis for drop on death, you would end up with a system where prices fluctuate even worse than they do now. The helmet would be kept, meaning its price would drop and the platebody would rise, until a point where the prices intersect and the helmet begins to drop, and the platebody is kept, starting the whole process over again. Keeping the system stable keeps the economy stable. i really dont reckon thats why, i think its just a rarer barrows drop. i mean how many items of value do you think actually disappear a day, nowadays. like u can get an 11 minute grave, then items are shown. theres pretty much nowere in runescape you cant get back to in time that wont be populated by other players. literally i cant think of any activity people do regually where they can easilly die with nobody around. even in gwd if you soloing someone will probally crash within 11 minutes lol, and some people can even get back in 11 minutes, probs the people more likely to solo. literally i think its fairly impossible for an items to disssapear now. or if not for everything, at least discontinudes.. it wont affect the market and i think its just fair that if u get unlucky you can just lose an item youve worked unbeleivable ammounts of time for,

Thats absolute madness! kinda sad but fairplay, i never thought id see the day when people would max exp in more than 1 skill :o Ive gotta say tho, if they are then it looks like SUOMI will be the winner, apart from RC hes got 3 of the hardewst unbuyables to 200m, thats madness! IF he has alot of money aswell and merchs, he could get cooking, fletching, con and crafting withing like 6months ! crazyy, he should level slayer next and max out combats to 200m, use the effigies for rc :ohnoes: good luck to alll goiing for max total. it will be a seriously weird day when it happens.

I lol'd at this ... :lol: Just to qualify further -- what I am asking is whether or not you think the "quality" of the game content is declining not the numbers of people playing, not the amount of money Jagex makes, not the nature of the players who have left, returned, retired, rejoined or are otherwise engaged or disengaged in the game's activities. This is a discussion about the game's content. Thank you. If its a question of content then I dont think runescape has jumped the shark (is that australian term?) , I reckon in its players and in the way the game has evolved its jumped the shark, in how many players have ground 1000s of hours and completely ruined small acheivments. but its content updates, like making really rare high level items with cool abilities, seem to be pretty good! when there is armour req 99s, and weaps req 99s and every skill has something at 99 you can do.. thats when runescapes content might be a bit lost. but until then theres a lot they can add!

i swear you always post short statements on every post that just make you sound like a [bleep]. anyway i think jagex should jus do it based on the ge, why the hell not? its a fairly accurate representation of an items worth, usefulness etc.. why should i have to worry about keeping oak logs over my santa?! or think about what i pick up when i pk with ags/claws, which kinda makes us hav to learn 2 prices for all pk items.,. loads of people think thats a bad idea for some reason tho.. It's not a bad idea - but how do you factor in untradables? What about GE prices that are wrong? There are plenty of items whose market value is vastly different then that of the GE based on how the GE has limitations on the average worth of each item. It's not as easy as you think. Ok the untradeables is tricky.. but i swear the ge gives a pretty damn good guide on price, like say p hats are majorly wrong, but ud still keep a blue over a white or ags :P

COMBINE AGILITY WITH DEFENCE! MAKE AGILITY TRAINED BY RUNNING AT 1EXP PER 100%!! i mean make agility affect your combat level by max of 13 levels or whatever it is for prayer, swap it around with defence for evasivness and make defence make hits hit lower sometimes.. i dunno.. byt YEAAAH x

If I enjoy playing a game more than knitting, why should knitting be more acceptable just because of my age? yeah i just said i find it more fun than runecrafting. are you quite old then?? i personally dunno what i think about over 65s playing runescape.. i might well, i dunno. im still sure its better for you to be active at that age than play RS. like my gran is 78n and she bikes everyday, walks, hikes, gardens you no shes jus healthy. but my grandad (rip) couldnt really walk by 70 because of his lack of exercise after about 60, he jus sat and watched tv, which just made it worse. if your talking about knitting i assume ur like 65-75.. i dunno. if you want the last years of your life to be invested into a game then fair enough. i mainly have strong opinion that 20-50 is a terrible time to play rs obsessivley, or more than 2 hours a day. hell read my other post, i said most of what i think lol. the only time i ever think its acceptable to no life tho is if your badly disabled.

I want a screenshot of that because in my 10 years of runescape, and hanging around at least 3 people who were PERM MUTED for offensive language - (Jmag, Pokey, Keeler) have NEVER seen anything half that vulgar and racist. Heck, Sleets, Pokey, and a few other good and well known pkers played black characters and NEVER got called a racial slur in my time killing with em. It IS sad guys. Allow it. Im 19, its so lame of me to play RS a lot of the time. theres so much to do at this age. Id say RS shouldnt be played by anyone personally because there are almost no positive influences on your life. and people who say its fun, is it really? is it as fun as skating down a hill, or poppin a wheelie, or getting some love? no. im gunna try and quit in the next week cos im moving to france an wanna make the most of it yeah, i know i dont have much fun anymore, other than it being like a second life. i personally think anyone playing over 6 hours a day at weekends is damaging their lives, no matter what age. i think your lying to yourself if your 138 and playing 10+ hours at weekends. Ive spent 250 days on my account. Do u no what i couldve done wit that? like io just started guitar and am playing like 3 hours a day. i couldve played 6000 hours of guitar and be absolutely killer now! to be fair i probally wouldve spent 1000 hours watching tv but yeah whatever. but look, if you have kids and oyu play on rs thats something i have a personal problem with. becuase your not just ruining your life, ur ruining thers. I used to know someone with 4 kids who all played rs, from like 6-12. the mother played 10 hrs+ every single day. she encouraged the kids to waste their life, making them nerds/socially inept and ruined her own. im gunna assume that all the people that grind will all have the same thing, even if their in denial. you may not cancel things to play runescape, but your more inclined to turn it down, or have a night in.. i think runescape is escapism at its worst. like i said im 19, i havnt played for the last year (just started again) and my life significantly improved. in the past week or 2 ive been out a lot less, got a lot less done in general (am unemployed so its pretty important i actually do something) and had a nocturnal lifestyle. and ive acheived practially nothing in game! its taking me like 15 hours to get from 82 dung to 85. and that gets me the ability to make 4m an hour, except i dont ahve yac. which would take like 100 hours more grinding. its just silly. i think the older you get the sadder it gets playing, i dont understnad how a 40 something year old couldnt understand this. if anyone has an argument about why its not sad to play at 40, or if anyone genuinely plays in moderation (like 6/7 hrs a week) id love to hear from you. or if anyone with kids can tell me why its not detrimental to their childhood to play with them. x

the protect system pisses me off so much!! why can we not chose the value based on the ge value.. their ACTUAL value.. i posted a suggestion on this site actually and got flamed for some reason???
