  1. as opposed to 60 and 80% female? It's a serious medical problem ! :-( anyways the reason most people don't believe your a girl is becsause most of the characters that are girls, arn't girls. i've been a girl character, gotten 2m out of it lol!
  2. I personally don't like either of them, it seems really gimicky to me. I like the whole events thing, maybe similar to wildywyrms although that was also a massive fail lol. for me bonus exp weekend just make it a mad rush, everyone you talk to ingame says how bored they are. its like your forced to skill for 10hrs, i mean obviously you arn't but it feels like you have to. I remember a game i used to play ages ago that had week long monster events that dropped untradeable armours etc. The bosses were like really hard and the items didn't give any boost over max items anyway, it was just really cool. I'd like to see something like tis happen. screw bonus exp weekend.
  3. gotta be honest i'm not 100% on this, but when i looked at GE graph there was a big drop just before BXP weekend, with a very small rise. now im managing to buy herbs, unf and seconds and -15% sometime when at the beginning of the weekend i was buying at like +5%. Have a little gander at the prices because Ive got the feeling that some stuff your best buying now, especially herbs and pots. For example super energy restores are buying at 2.5k atm, thats pretty darn cheap. Papayas are a bit more to be fair, but I'm sure they're dropping right now. But yeah I bought 1k super energy pots and papayas for 5m, working out at around 20gp/exp. But with your multiplier this would be a fair bit more, plus they're really fast. Oh wait, you havn't got 84 yet.. but yeah my advise would be to buy herbs and potions now!
  4. Theres this little indie game I first heard about from doing a wiki search on MMO's for the hell of it, its called A Tale in the Desert. Its a sandbox game with a ton of skills in it but unlike runescape the skills require the human behind the avatar to get skilled with it instead of grinding for 20 lvls to make this new thing. With blacksmithing how it works is you get a block of metal and you have to use certain tools to shape it into the right shape and you get a rating from 0000-9999 and the closer it is to the perfect shape the higher the rating is (and the more useful the item is). If runescape had a similar system it would require the person behind the avatar to gain skill at it instead of your avatar gaining skill from doing hte same thing 9001 times.   5. Nope. Sorry but no good team is going to take you with those stats. 91 summoning means your overload supply is limited. Lack of Pack Yak is terrible for your team's efficiency. And of course, a higher range level is crucial. herby shouldnt be an issue because ill just stew overloads and prayers or whateve. that suck though. basically i have max range and get 96 summoning.. :ohnoes: thats gunna be dull.. and then if i get that but only had 100m or so to spend on gear..?
  6. which is why dice game makes a lot more sense. its quick and a player quickly gains legitimacy. flower games easy to fake and takes a while. dice games nice and to the point ;) if i realised someone was doing the double your bet thing on me though id refuse him bets after not very long. but at the end of the day gambilings gamling, what its really for is high risk high gain single bets i reckon.40% chance is still pretty good, its better than the odds of the horses or blackjack (i think). you cant make all your money in rs from the dice game but you can still place a few bets and come out on top without a complicated exppensive system. now really off topic but, is that system banned from casinos in real life? because if it's right (cant be assed to think too much but the maths sounds right to me) surely everyone in teh world would be beating the casinos.
  7. yes. :thumbsup: with some complicated new ore to mine, or the addition of some really rare gems. i reckon they shouldn't be temporary but require a LOT of ores, gems. lot of money basically. ending up costing as much as the weapon or armour itself. this would completely negate the whole pvp issue. i like the idea of adding a new way to smith aswell, requiring actually skill. i really cant think of a way to implement this but i'm sure there is one. same with mining. make it so it could take nearly an hour to mine the gems or ore, but a lot of things to in that hour. once again really can't think what. edit ^^ also ranged with crafting. basically with every skill in the game make small advantage, high level, untradeable items/food/weapons. with agility possibly you could run very very slightly faster with each level. i also think u shud be able to get a ver small ammount of agility exp for every, say, 3000 squares you walk and 1500 you run. itb nice :mrgreen: maybe we should make this thread into a massive brainstorming session and email a final piece to jagex :thumbup:

[bleep] that. you should be allowed to trust trade, but doubling has no advantage whatsoever for the doubler so it's not even a trust trade it's just a dumb as fook trade. Somewhat off tangent, but I'd like to note that while Dicing and Flowering are trust trades, there's far less incentive to betray the trust of a customer, because the dealer wins (in the long run) either way. With Doublers, they have to scam to make a profit. lol thats what u quoted me saying but in a more comprehensive way :P
  9. i view the flower game and this completely separately. personally i don't see why people play flower game when they can dice.. but i think its a wicked part of the game and its not for stupid noobs either. everyone says that gambling with 40% odds is dumb, well what about the people that play blackjack? the house always has an advantage even if its slight, thats just the way. but the difference is is that house is constantly betting so the percentages work out, whereas the betters can easily walk away up. they usually dont. but you definately can.

It's true that there isn't much wiggle room. and now with capes as insentive there is no way skills can be profitable anymore, unless you add skill or length of time to it. i havnt actually checked out the new update to be honest, but isn't there a fair bit of skill involved? if there is then. well that's kind of what i wanted. if there's not then that's what needs to happen, more minigame type things utilising the keyboard. make skills a game, not a click grind. oh actually maybe the could make high levle untradeable items that give a very slight strength bonus, say plus 10 or so to your max hit. also allow them to be bought into wilderness but make the ore cost very high. basically we need more untradeables but we need them to work and not give silly advantages. they should be handy but it shouldnt make it nessasary to grind for 100hrs to be able to compete.

  12. excactly what I figure, but why is it such a thing?! i can't understand how people can believe their money will be doubled! and also how it got to be such a big thing, even when trimming armour was massive it wasn't anywhere near as bad as this.
  13. Right, there's a thread for the flower game and dicing. What about this weird phenomenon? I just witnessed a money doubler take 30m from people, and they people were suprised he didn't double? I also witnessed the trust game, people actually gave someone 10m so that they could be given 12m by somebody 'quitting' RS.. Wait.. what.. What is wrong with some people?? I can understand dicing, hell I host it, same with the flower game and possibly the dungeoneering cape.. But what is up with these, why do people believe them? Was there originally a person that doubled money for some reason because he was quitting? I mean why if people were doubling money would they not give it one screen window.. Seriously what is wrong with the general RuneScaper eh? Why in every single world am i flooded with doubling claims at the GE? Basically is this a legitimate thing that most players abuse (like dicing) or is it, like I think, just like armour trimming. But a hundred times more stupid..
  14. hiya im almost maxed melee, was wopndering whether it would be viable as a money make to go in a team (dont know what size please advise) with 99 at, str, def, mage, hp. 95 pray. 91 herby. wouldnt have a pak yak though, unless its fairly easy to get from 82? which i doubt lol. also id only have 200m to spend on equiptment.. should i just carry on slaying for more money and get a pak yak or ..?? I REALLY WANNA GET PERNIX BEFORE IT DROPS!! edit: im only 93 range, doubt ill be geting it up anytime soon either.
  15. I would never do anything I hate! This bonus exp weekend has messed up people's minds so I am glad I am not members this month. I would probably just ignore it anyway. agreed! bonus exp weekend sucks, it makes everyone feel like they need to play for ages, ruins the market and .. something else lol. i swear the jagex i know wouldn't do something as gimmicky as a bonux exp weekend. paah.
  16. dunno if anyone else feels the same way, but ive been chatting some people in rs and most people don't like the exp weekend. it feels like a really boring grind and that your missing out if you don't play for 10hours over the weekend. it also screws prices up, bigg time. im sure anybody thats training herblore this weekend will know that far too well. i also found that until the exp counter went under 2.0 every misclick sucked, because i knew i was effectively losing money by doing so. i dunno maybe this needs a new topic but i dont wanna make a topic thatll probally end in flame.
  17. obviously not to be honest, but theres no point dropping everything. ive done that like 3 times and then come back to no money. just buy a rare and dont log in unless you want to! :thumbsup: actually, maybe buy a santa or mask and then sell all ur items and level something with crazy exp rates?? i dunno.. u could get 99 magic or range if u havnt yet, done at soul wars :L
  18. i just spent 21m on 800k exp :thumbsup: and i sold 100m worth of super restores for 50m :shades: yey wasting money on topic : i hate all skills pretty much, except combat. herblore is just the only skill im ever going to use other than combats. and i find it boring as, i really dont mind spending the money i hate it that much.

Try it at times when America sleeps hah :P but i think ur american so u might have to do an allnighter Yes I'm American but I'm up always up most of the night anyway :P I go to bed 3-5am these days. And get up at 2-3pm. My schedule is a little whacked. You should probably go to bed at like 2am and wake up at 10am. No point in sleeping 10-12 hours when 8 is enough :P It's easier to wake up early if you go to bed at 1-2 rather than 4-5. Oversleep sucks :( can eat enough, drink enough. never sleep enough. when i dont have a job i oversleep all the time. btw paperbag someone did point this out a while ago. to you personally i think. ever chinning/barrage place is rammed!
  20. Umm, wouldn't that kind of waste the wines? I mean, 2.7x from bxpw is much worse then the 4x or whatever from brawlers. that assumes you get a brawler which isnt exactly easy. anyway, I don't see how these top players do it. 7 hours or so of rc today and my finger is aching lol. :P if ud have pked more! im so glad i wasted all those hours pking with nothing to show for it but brawlers.. 50 pairs \:D/ are brawlers even really part of the game now? i guess people going for 200m would spend the time killing revs!

Right now the mmo market is pretty saturated, those who have a lifestyle that suits playing things like runescape or wow already know about such games; in order to create more searches on these games the market will have to be increased, and that generally means broadening appeal which often (Not always mind you) sacrifices content suited to the more dedicated players. What you're saying is true in the sense that the way mmo's are being made, marketed, and played is leading to stagnation, which is generally bad, but in the short-term I can't forsee this causing too many problems. fiar enough lol, yeah no nor can i. i think i said somewhere im 100% runescape will be around for at least 6 more years. but that doesnt mean it isnt dying, like u said stagnating. maybe that is happening to all mmorpgs..
  24. ^^^ i did 10mins ago :P can omeone reply tro my post, cos its not a good argument saying 'oh people know about it now'. if that is the csae then its just more evidence that runescape is dying. it means that the majority of people playing runescape have been playing for a while. but i still think, it must be a fairly good representation of interest in google. susrely tere are proportionally around the same percent of people googling runescape throughout its history. for many different reasons of course. surely this shows less people are interested in runescpae. sdurely that means its dying? amiwrong?

I know SUOMI reads this sometimes, so i hope he reads this. a few pages back u made a post about possibly writing a little about urself. id personaly be very interested in that! but anyway, im fairly convinced your going to get teh number 1 spot. my advice if ur serious is to get 200m runecrafting. if u have rc, fishing, agility, dungeoneering and mining at 200m then you only have one slow non buyable left!! buyables can be done sily fast. hopefully u got some brawling gloves for cooking! u can get 200m cooking in less than 100 hrs now. i think the same with fletching?? but yeah basically ive got my eye on you, noone else seems to be anywhere near as close as you even though you have less total exp. it always seemed to me that the 3 hardest would be mining, agility and rc. out of interest, roughly how much cash do u have. you probally need like 10bil i guess?i dont know thats completely off hand. but go suomi! in 2 years im sure you will have completed runescape! :thumbsup:
