First of all, I've quit as of 2 days ago, was thinking of it for a while and then i got lured, figured it was a good time. Secondly, flame me man I don't care. Thirdly this might not belong here but I dunno where else to put it. Alright so basically I'm gunna tell you my RS and RL story (where it matters). I started when I was like 11/12, loads of peeps at my school played and it was jokes, messing about with loads of school friends on some funny game. Slowly everyone quit, and it was just me, by then i was pretty into it. I remember one summer i spent 4hours or so a day on RS. Around that time I started losing friends, dunno why, but I did. The less friends I had the more RS I played. Anyway it got stupid for me, I was 13 and skipping school to play RS all day. At some point I got MSN to talk with RS friends, then I met girls and quit RS ([bleep] that man I got girls lol). Anyway so I had some friends and a social life and girls, I stopped RS. At some point stuff went wrong and I started playing RS again, just a bit. But I put off going out for RS. Basicaly been going through cycles of not playing for 6months and then playing too much for a month (like 25hours a week) Now I know that's a right unhealthy way to play, but I can't help but notice that my life gets significantly worse when I'm playing RS. I'm more likely to put things off, less likely do be up for going down pub or something. I know that there are a lot of people that play RS at least 6 hours a day aswell, and I'm just saying isn't it massively detrimental on all our live when we play like that? People always have the same argument aswell, 'oh we'd just be watching tv or something if we didn't' or 'so what we find it fun'. Fairplay I'm not saying that that's always wrong, I know plenty of people on here do play like that and enjoy it when they do. Hell I enjoy it when I play for a bit. But it's the mentality of the minority of players who already have addictive personalities that's sad. I also know from watching my brother that it's just not right that everyone has more fun out of it than other things. I don't see smiling and happy when he's playing RS a lot like he is when he plays football with his mates. I see him being subdued and monged. I swear there is a certain ammount of denial especially among players who clock 5-6hours regularly a day. The way I see it a lot of people use RS as an easy way to get little kicks and achievments that are easily documented, but due to the time it takes up it's just silly really. I dunno I wanna hear what you guys think.

have a beer or two, definately helps. splif and other drugs DEFINATELY dont stay away! and ive got it so that i have both, serato vinyl emulation basically means i have control with vinyl of any song on my comp. plus the option to use vinyl. if your proper pro you need vinyl standard/stupidedly high cd standard i think., but if i was going to start again i would do what your doing, im jsut used to mixing vinly. link not broken for me. but i just listened to it again, i wudnt want anyone else to hear it to be honest :P am away from home right now and dont have decks but when i get back in a couple of months ill post a few mixes :thumbup: that nightlife mix is nice btw dude! :thumbup:

can anyone remember the fairly old school pures like bonesaw pk and fear figment. and ohmyg4wdz? i think that was his name. he was boss. fear figment was sweet tho, pretended to be abyss crafter attacked with rune pick then whacked out g maul /. fluh fluh dead! who else... d4rk elf? he was a nob tbf but pretty good pks. and bl1tz something/. i only know famous merchants/pkers really. used to be skillers before everyone was maxed, now it's boring seeing straight 99s. i used to think it was nuts when people had 5 btw ^^^ and others are posting pretty bleak posts.

I know I'm not meant to discuss this, and this'll be the final thing I write. But I wrote a thing a few pages back about why talking about the real life implications should be a part of the discussion of somebody attaining 200m in all skills but whatever. I'm genuinely not trying to troll, it's just sad to see posts like some peoples who obviously arn't happy with their lives possibly because of the ammount of RuneScape they play. I can't sit back and see people talking about suicide and others egging them on to get zs much exp as is humanly possible. But whatever, maybe I should make a topic for this? And the guy above me is right, I'm far from jealous. But yeah SUOMI is gunna get it first. I swear agility and mining exp are almost 2 of the slowest per hour? Oh and fishing! At some point Allar and the others with almost all buyables and combats are gunna stall and SUOMIs gunna zoom :shades:

had a santa, mask set, easter egg, pumkin and disk before rs2. quit, dropped. came back 2 years later.. how much?!?! fml.. or more recently its bonus exp weekend, gunna make some extreme attacks when i get level. read the extra ingredient wrong, spend all my spare cash buying 10k irits. get 88, try and make.. I agree on your last sentence about more WELL-DEVELOPED at that, high level content being added to most skills. However it seems like too many players including yourself can't realize that "your idea of a life/time well spent =/= the life/time of others" So what if people want to spend a lot of time playing an online game? I hate basketball, but I don't think that those who play it are wasting their time/lives, they're just doing what they want. And I'm also sure that the people who have/are/will go for 104M or 200M in skills are going to be training it and know how to do it a hell of a lot more efficienctly than you are, so for you to say it's going to take a CRAZY amount of time isn't necessarily true. They made DG quicker after level 99, and I know they would too for the rest of the skills. My point is that chances are you'll still be playing this game by the time level extensions roll around, and you'll play until tons of people reach those max levels. A bit ironic to me. Apologies for the double post. theres a differnce between playing for a length of time and spending a lot of time playing. to be honest i doubt i will play sooon, its habit atm, i only play 1 hour a day tho and dont polay weekends anymore. but 120 will also discourage new players which i thinks important. but im so shocked if someone actually wants to spend a life time playing runescape..

Err yeah excactly? It also help makes the world turn round, real social interaction aswell. I don't get how you guys can't understand that. Everyone should work. Plus I know that a lot of people don't enjoy grinding, they enjoy the reward. Also to post above ^^^ I think it's a good thing to do if it makes people play slightly less RS. I personally think they should put a limit of 24 hours a week.

[/hide] How is playing runescape any different from playing music, they did because they enjoyed it. I bet they practiced long hours being "unhealthy". Most things that take that long to Master are "pointless" but, people do it as it is there passion, and imo it doesn't matter what that passion is, unless it involves hurting someone else. Anyway, S U O M I, dw about it, 1 supporter is worth 1000 haters, so post it :) And i know myself, and many others would really enjoy it :) And Paperbag, hope your okay now. Because playing music is real, not a game. It's also considered a job, it earns you keep and money and serves society. Playing RuneScape constatnly does none of that. It's also not pysical. And the Beatles wouldn't have played 16hours per day because it's impossible to have what is considered a normal life putting that much time into something. Unless you guys wanna live with your mums forever. I guess most of you who are saying this are still at school?? well I finished school 2 years ago, have you ever done your own washing? Cooked your own meals, cleaned your house? sureley if you;ve done these things you realise how much time it takes up. And then earning the money to live.. Look if you can;t see what's wrong with playing 16hours a day then.. [cabbage] you needs to go to a psychiatrist. Imagine what you're parents think, you're sitting in front of a screen for 16hours a day. What about getting a wife, and a family? How would you suppport that. Same for parents who play on RS - incredibly irresponsible.. also yeah, I'd reckon that p[laying 16hours a day is harming 2 people - your parents. At least, or your friends. Say my passion is doing heroin, it's not hurting anyone and i only do it 16hours a day. everyday. Effectively yeah it's the same, it's obviously not. but your rendering yourself useless for 16hours. You can't survive in life by being good at a game. There's a massive difference between real life and computers.

Depends how high you bet surel. My crapp[y little maths bit about doubling losses, losing 7 times in a row you only need 97.2m if you lose 6 times in a row, which if it's only you betting is pretty insanely unlikely. Surely if you always start at a few hundred ks and go back to that everytime you get cleaned it's pretty insanely impossible to not win at some point. IF you had 1b for example you could lose 9/10 times (I think) in a row. Which is insanely bad luck! Yes, but when you get that insanely bad luck, you lose a bil that you were risking for 100k. That's a LOT of money to put on the line even if your chances of losing are in the decimals of a percent territory. Especially because 100k is NOTHING to someone with a 1b bank, so I don't see anyone with that much money bothering in the first place unless they're starting at at least 500k. Otherwise you're probably risking your bank for worse cash/hour than frost dragons. I personally would also stop taking bets at around the 50-80m mark simply due to not having the liquid assets to cover many bets of that magnitude, so after a certain number of bad rolls you have to go find another dicer with a bigger cashpile and let me keep however many tens of millions you forked over. If you double your overloss then you risk a bil for a bil. If you do that then the end bet is complete profit! yeah no to be fair I doubt there are that many peoplewho can accomadate 1b bets :P there is that avq guy or whatever his name is? But yeah if you double overall loss then your not risking for 100k, your risking for your winning bet.

I got respect for SUOMI in RS. But seriously guys if you take a look at what it must be doing to their lives, it's pretty scary. I saw a post a few 10s of pages back from paperbag, ended up saying about suicide. Some people were saying 'nice one' and stuff like that. Guys its prety dodgy really. You know that RuneScape like that is a massive form of escapism that eventually screws people over.. if anyones got time you should watch this i think its fairly good representation, in anime form :thumbup: i cant actually find a good example to be honest.. but guys, how can you not think playing 16hours a day isn't harmful?? you can't work, you can't really cook yourself proper meals, you can't study, go to school, do anything, have friends.. i dunno it just seems crazy to me. i have hiccups of playing 10hrs for 2 days or so, and i feel like crap, i don't get anything done and then i realise it's just a dumb ass game. im probally gunna give my account away tbh. i wanted to boss hunt but apparently you have to grind for 200+hours which is just uber sad in my books. think what you could do. Apparently it takes around 20,000 hours to get 200m in everything, and that's a pretty liberal estimate. It might well be in the 30,000 range. There's a book they told us about at our old school about how it takes 10k hours to master something. the beatles apparently only played together 10k hours, and well.. yeah.. 10,000 hours spent on a stupid video gamew is just heartbreaking for me to see. and i know a lot of these players are depressed, do you think playing more RS will help?? what do you think is going to happpen when these players eventually realise how meaningless 200m in all skills really is. Runescape is their life.. I dunno, you can't deny that..

Just because there's loads more sadacts with no jobs that play RS everyday doesn't mean it's easy to get 99 everything. Getting 120 in just one skill is insane IMO. Max exp I have is 16m in Str and I've had 99 for 2 years and always aggressive when I PK, SW or slay generally. No offense but if you have all 99s atm you've spent alot of time on a silly game. The people with all 99s who think it's easy (?!) to get all 99s and that everything should be raised to 120 should take a look at their lives. Seriously. Imagine how ridiculous it already seems to a new player when they learn what the max level in a skill is. I recently trained dungeoneering to 80 and i struggled, it's so many hours. sooo many hours. If they did add 120 I think it should only be to combat skills, and I don't really think they should.. because IMO getting 100m exp in something is incredibly sad. :thumbup: I think it'd be irresponsible for Jagex to make it a game made goal to spend even more hours grinding. I personally think that exp should be lowered for 99s but whatever.. Anyway to most players 99 everything is already an unachievable goal :shades: Also like already has been said they need to add high level content to skills first.

[hide] I hope he saves as many as possible because I want to see massive gains. That's always the most fun. He'd have to do Crafting, Summoning ---- what else has he maxed besides Agility/RC? I can never remember what each guy has done except the most impressive ones... First off he is using his effigies as he gets them. How do you think he got 700k slayer xp, 140k WCing xp, 185k Fming xp, 300k Farming, 200k RC, and 175k Con xp in less than 4 hours? It seems that he saves up about a days worth and then just dumps them all at once at the end of the day to not waste time during the tasks. He has to use the effigies on crafting and Farming, other than that he uses the effigies on the slower skills except for herb/con because he is broke. He doesn't have RC maxed. He currently has 8 200ms with Mage, Cooking, Fletching, Fishing, Smithing, Mining, Agility and Dungeon. Yeah that's exactly what I do, I thought about storing them but I stopped caring about records because they were giving me lot's of stress and I am trying to enjoy this game as much as possible. And even if I stored them it wouldn't really make me reach my goal any faster but you never know about updates though. [/hide] Dude SUOMI, your actually king of 200ms. me to but can you read my maths and tell me if it's wrong. it's always better to get 1m bets than 100k, 100ks arnt fun. but yeah read my post wwith the maths please and then.. assuming that you do that and as soon as you win you start over, and it's only you betting. is it not guarenteed you'll win?

am getting sick of [developmentally delayed]s skimming a post and then judging. especially when it's the same thing repeated over and over. i host dice games btw, i dont play them. its not idiots that bet like that that make dice games work either, surely my math was right. if it wasnt tell me, don't just make a stupid [developmentally delayed]ed comment like that without reading anything. <_< its idiots that make small bets continually that make dice game work, its people with 50m banks that win big and carry on betting till its gone that make dice games work. do you host btw? because whenever someone ups me its by doing something similar to that. ive tallied 400m at least going through me, having a lot fo less than 1m bets, done at least 400 bets. if you host aswell then fairplay, but whatever i think im in a fair position to know about it.. <_< so out of at least 400 games with peeps ive only won continually for 6 games. the longest with one person betting is 5. i think its fair to assume that 7 losses in a row is unbelievably rare, if other people get bets in between then yeah, but otherwise..

Where do you get that idea from? The fact that you only have two political parties with any chance to get in. My friend telling me about it, can't remmber now was one of those nights in the pub.. But basically your parties have to be massivley funded by shady people with more than fairness at heart to be heard at all. In UK every party gets airtime on BBC (I think). Also the fact you have the supreme court.. err wuite a lot of things. It's quite obviously not a great democract, anywhere were those only democrat or republic (right, or far-right) is pretty bad democracy wise IMO. Tell me if I'm wrong?
