Doubling Money.. and Other Weird phenomena..
But realisticaly the longest i've ever continually won on the dice is 6 times. I'd say unless you're unbelievably unlucky the most you shoudl expect is 10 games until you win, the MOST. I'm gunna do a little example for myself for someone who loses 7 games ina row, right unlikely. 200k - lose -200k 400k lose - -600k 800k lose - 1400k 1600k lose - 3m 3.8m - lose - 6.8m 7.6m - lose - 18.2m 15.2m - win -3.2m.. Say whaat? did i just do terrible maths or is that actually what happens, in that case you can never be up doubling, unless you doubled the total loss?? 200k lose - 200k 400k lose - 600k 1.2m lose - 1.8m 3.6m lose - 5.4m 10.8m lose - 16.2m 32.4m lose - 46.6m 97.2m win + 46.6m Is that what everyone been talking about then? doubling your total loss, not your last bet? Either way, its not hard to have 160m, its not even too hard to find dicers legit for that much money. its damn hard to lose more than 7 times in a row, so if the dicer always let you play it would be easy as pie to make tons of money!

What are your reasons of living?
You sound like my friend = who is now in a mental home. He seemed to think none realised they were going to die. Of course everyone knows this, I'm pretty sure everyones had those thoughts before. You know from like a ridiculously early age your going to die. Get over it, if it's pointless then have fun. It's not a sobering reality either cos who cares? your dead, the only bad bits dying and hopefully for most of us it won't take too long. Seriously i've got a big problem with this because my good mate was chatting about death and denial and how everyones blind and nothing matters, n now hes fooked in da head.. :( Just chill out

Is America a greedy country?
Where do you get that idea from? The fact that you only have two political parties with any chance to get in. My friend telling me about it, can't remmber now was one of those nights in the pub.. But basically your parties have to be massivley funded by shady people with more than fairness at heart to be heard at all. In UK every party gets airtime on BBC (I think). Also the fact you have the supreme court.. err wuite a lot of things. It's quite obviously not a great democract, anywhere were those only democrat or republic (right, or far-right) is pretty bad democracy wise IMO. Tell me if I'm wrong? And to post abovce ^^^ You were on topic, Japan is off topic lol! :P

End of an Era... probably...
Agreed, who cares? Just a few less youtube videos, oh noos. :P Im sure someone else will come along, it's definately not the end of an era. And tbh I bet he'll be back :P

[hide] Runescape is now really a PvM game - skills arent needed apart from herblore. A lot of people don't PVM though. And if skills arn't needed then why are raw materials.. hmm? So you think Jagex are purposefully trying to ruin skills? No, but most of the game is tailored specifically for combat. I'm not saying I like it - that's just the way it is. Let's take a look at some skills - Atk/Str/Def/Magic/Range/Pray/Hp/Summoning/Slayer are pretty much all combat skills Farming was made for herblore and herbore for combat Mining/Smithing was from the old days - where getting armor drops were pretty rare, so many relied on these skills to get their armor Firemaking - Other then an easy 99, it looks like to me - the only real reason to level this is of the hand cannon DG - I think we can agree that most people do this for the rewards (in the form of chaotic/prayer/etc) Fishing/Cooking - mainly used to get food for combat (back when the only real other way to get food was to buy kebabs in Al Kharid >.<) Construction - looks like a LARGE amount of people come just for the altars The whole game is tailored more or less towards combat. I think that by providing a lot of raw material - it'll entice people who combat all the time to maybe work on some skills that they've conveniently gotten the resources for. On the other end, it's also an incentive for people to who skill all day to come by and work on combat since that's where you can make the most money [/hide] Obviously the whole game is geared towards combat, it would be silly not to be since combat (in my books) is one of the only fun things, and all games are geared towards combat pretty much. but a lot of people (for some reason) don't enjoy combat, it already is 20x more profitable than skilling, so why make it even more? Please read: The whole game is tailored more or less towards combat. I think that by providing a lot of raw material - it'll entice people who combat all the time to maybe work on some skills that they've conveniently gotten the resources for. On the other end, it's also an incentive for people to who skill all day to come by and work on combat since that's where you can make the most money i can repeet posts 2!11 but a lot of people (for some reason) don't enjoy combat if skillings less profitable then the reason people do it is for fun/capes, not for money so adding more money isn't really an insenstive it just [cabbage]s on the time they put into mining/farming/crafting :o it completely negates a load of things, if people are gettting 1k charged orbs as a fairly common drop then obelisks are done. i dunno, if somethings not broke, don't fix it. drops were find before. plus itl only entice secondary skils, not primaries which are the ones being screwed over. secondary skills win with this update. What are you saying? You're not making any sense - Jagex is doing a perfect job of drawing people towards skills that weren't utilized much before. If you already do a skill because you want to - there's no reason to entice you even more to do it - you're already doing it. Your description of primary/secondary skill is kind of dumb. How do you expect them to boost your wc/fishing/mining exp? There's nothing they can do other then change the whole in game mechanic or add a ton of new things. Like you said "if it ain't broke - don't fix it". These skills are fine as they are - there's no reason to add anything else to them. Your argument is very nonsensical - by adding a large amount of raw drops from melee, you claim that Jagex is ruining the skill. If anything, they're making the skill easier to train which is actually a step towards reviving it. [/hide] ruining the primary skills because you get almost nothing now, and Im sure it'll be even less soon. I never said they should fix primary skills, also I said that about drops from monsters. I'm talking almost purely about primary skills.

Nothing stops bots, you can make bots for anything, RuneScape is quite a simple game. There are farming bots aswell. This ROW update is dumb IMO. Why change the drops? Slayer was already 20x more pfoitable than mining, and more fun. Now coal prices etc will drop making mining a really boring skill and less profitable. Can't see any plus points really except that slayers get richer.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Love needs to be mutual dude! Is America a greedy country?
HAHA! It was my dicing location, dude I can totally see how you can think that. Thats a pretty weerd comment tho tbh. I got pretty strong views on Israel as well if you wanna here them   Nah I do get that it's not really the citizens fault, i think I wrote that somewhere. And on a personal level I've never disliked an American over political reasons. Same with Israelis since you bring it up. I hate the Israeli government, but as I said I've done a lot of travelling recently and met a load of Israeli's I [bleep]ing love em lol. Ive chatted about Gaza with them aswell and genrally it turns out they disagree with me but whatever.. Also well done, you found somewhere in the UK with flags. None of us said there wern't any but it's damn rare. I hardly ever see flags about, when I do they're usually cornish flags/English flags not UK flags. Oh Welsh flags aswell (I don't go to Scotland or N Ireland V often) But yeah America especially has a bad democracy (no offense) in the way it works. People don't really get any say at all.

Is America a greedy country?
It's strange to us Europeans. None of this has proved America is selfish, I don't think you can prove something like that. I'm not gonna jump into this debate, but i see flags quite often in my European Union forced country. Fair enough, where do you live? I've only been to 6 Euro countries tbf. maybe i should change it to brits. but the way you talk about the EU makes me think you might well be a Brit :P Do you not like the EU? I love it!

Is America a greedy country?
Brit who learns everything from the Sun says mate all the time and says 'bloody bozzas!' ive done a lot of construction site/laboring jobs and some of the blokes there are so funny, like properlly quoting the sun and jeremy clarkson. but id always argue that tv is more powerful than an obviously taccy paper. i read the sun everyday cept sunday (lol?) for 5 months at work, had a choice of the telegraph, the sun and the mirror. The mirrops just as bad btw. But the politics doesn't come across that much in the Sun, there's generally a 2 page spread for 'our heroes' which is fair imo. Some of the articles are a bit dodgy but I personally don't think it's anywhere near as bad as Fox news. Its good to know most Americans don't take Fox seriously  EDIT: also i've been travelling a lot lately and I've come to realise, I AM patriotic. I think every Brit is, but in a different way. Our little traits and such, our slang, our conversations lol. I love Britain, but it seems different in America. It's also not a patriotism for the Government or any particular policy (although I am damn proud of the NHS and housing benefits). It's patriotism for the people  (and for festivals and dubstep)

Moi aussi., i was with some 2 americans and an australian for a while (good times) but one of them didn't know about the boxing day Tsunami in 200(5?)! also about the recent Pakistan floods and the Australian foprest fires. It seems some stuff just isn't news over in America.

Is America a greedy country?
Ok I know there'll be a load more posts by the time I post thus but Im gunna find sources.. About US friendly fire.. [link]http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2010/apr/10/us-friendly-fire-justice-iraq[/link] [link]http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/oct/22/american-troops-friendly-fire-iraq[/link] [link]http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/iraq/8082525/Wikileaks-Pentagon-logs-show-how-British-troops-repeatedly-came-under-friendly-fire.html[/link] In my small amount of research it appears America do not give figures on incidents like this, it is very hard to determine. Oh and it does appear from the figures released that US and UK have same rates. Mistratment and deliberate misinformation during Iraq [link]http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/feedarticle/9325702[/link] [link]http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/oct/22/iraq-war-logs-military-leaks[/link] (by the way plenty of information about British bad behaviour aswell) Us bombing Laos, aking it the most heavilly bombarded country per capita in the world, even though it was not involved in the Vietnam war particularly. Also continuing bombing for 2 years after the end of the Vietnam war. [link]http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/news/334937,50000-laos-survey-finds.html[/link] Detailing that 50,000 Laotians have been killed by the US. [link]http://www.olive-drab.com/od_history_vietnam_laos.php[/link] On the US forcing the Shah back into power and telling him to shooot on peaceful protesters = oh noo radical Islamic country that hates the US. So the US puts heavy sanctions on it making the country even more poor. Nice move guys keep the poor poor.. [link]http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0BUE/is_2_139/ai_n17214766/[/link] ah [bleep] im bored. ok this doesnt show very much at all really. sorry lol. edit: oh i'm not saying anything bad against americans. im saying america. its hard to debate this, i think britains foreign policies are fairly atrocious. but yeah the standard brit, what can he do? same with america. but the patriotism in america is a bit weird i find. although people who say its the msot patiotic country.. dont know very much. no offense. in Thailand the national anthem plays hourly in train stations, its ilegal to show disrespect to the king and they're in a war with Cambodia over an ancient temple. Cambodia is also a very patriotic country. this is a siilly argument, but its just the fact the the US government and military make out like they're doing everythiung for the good of the world when in actual facts, they're not.

Is America a greedy country?
^^^ you make fair points. (to roccodog) but this isn't about friendly fire :P its about is america selfish, from my experience america seems very selfish. also scarily patriotic and uninformed (on the whole, i doubt anyone posting on this is in that category).

Is America a greedy country?
no evidence aside from the fact there's more instances of American forces using friendly fire than other nations you mean? Cause I'd say thts pretty strong evidence. Also Britain hasn't withdrawn from Iraq or Afghanistan, they still there just same as US. "United Kingdom: 46,000 invasion (withdrawn 7/09)" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-National_Force_%E2%80%93_Iraq#Troop_deployment_in_Iraq_2003-2009 America has three times more troops there, that's an exponentially greater chance for friendly fire to occur. Any "reputation" American forces have for greater instances of friendly fire is pure propaganda. Not to mention the fact that there were over 10,000 deaths by friendly fire from the British in WW2 that you threw out "because of the technology" which makes no sense because all parties had access to the same technology. Plus there were examples completely unrelated to technology or American presence, like the one I posted where British aircraft destroyed German ships carrying over 7,000 concentration camp survivors and POWs. Like Y_Guy said, it happens in all conflicts, the assertion you are trying to make is logically flawed because there are no concrete examples with equivalent time in combat or manpower in combat on either side. ww2 was a differnt war neek. different times, totally uncomparable. completely messy, much worse technology. [bleep]ed up times for most people in europe. not ameirca though who 'saved the day'. your country wasnt even sure if it wanted to be involved. pAH. also the british should have excactly 3 times less if the friendly fire rate is the same, since britain on american is friendly fire. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/oct/22/american-troops-friendly-fire-iraq got to admit tho, i just went on wikipedia and if all of the exampled on friendly fire are the only ones that occured then it was about 3-1. which means it was equal :P but i dunno..

Is America a greedy country?
[hide] yes it is. you just have to look at the CO2 emissions, the size of houses. The size of everything. The obesity rates. Granted England isn't much better. But do you know what gets me?? America's attitude towards war. I can't be assed to get into a massive quote chain debate on this cos im crap at them and i dont care enough to prove everything i say. but some of the stuff ive heard is atrocious. Dude fox news is an accepted news channel. thats all that needs to be said. anyway i got extreme views, there's a lot of things i ahte about america. not americans, but america. but yeah there is a reason why most of the world hates america. CO2 emissions, house size, obesity rates - that's not because of greed, it's because of wealth. you don't know what greed is. being wealthy doesn't make you greedy and being greedy doesn't make you wealthy. fox news isnt an accepted news channel, it's available to something like 100 million households but has viewership under 3.3 million. it's only watched by the least informed people out there. also, the sun is probably just as bad. "there is a reason why most of the world hates america" somebody had a big bowl of ignorant for breakfast [/hide] its true, most of the world hates america.

EDIT: to the mass friendly fire quotes all from WW2 - Wtf do u think ur proving? ur country was hardly involved in that war. im sure that still americans probablly also did a lot of friendly fire during the times. that was a dirty, messy war. you prove nothing by that. its was over 60 years ago.. find me some case of british friendly fire in iraq or afghanistan, im pretty sure its very minimal. i know ive heard a lot more incidents of american friendly fire than any other. also the tons of discusting videos. eerrrr. im sorry, like i like americans yeah but when politics and war and morals come in... i [bleep]ing hate america. i went to laos recently, i cant remember the excact dates/figures/facts but i saw a documentary by MAG (fairly respected charity). after announcing the end of the vietnemese war america continued to bomb laos. i went to a cave that women and children had used for shelter that americans blew up. and why??? it wasnt their country? america has a long (recent) history of meddling in other countries affairs to satisy itself. its not a team player. uk has a terrible history aswell, but im fairly proud of our recent history. along with most other european countries. also hiroshima, nagasaki. genuinely makes me sick. also drone attacks, i could very easily find sources detailing at least 1k civillian deaths from drone attacks, all by the US. also the wikileaks articles. damn man just look at some of them, they're [bleep]ed up!!! admittedly again there are some pretty bad ones regarding the uk aswell. But i remember one particular cable detailing that russia and the us were in talks, part of a secret deal was to disclose the size of our nuclear arsenal. without our permission, when it is a strict policy of ours to not tell anyone.. is that not uber selfish?? i was also recently in china, dunno if anyones been to beijing? they have this massive counterfeit market there. everyone knows its counterfeit, but i got friendly with a few of the girls ther. they said they had a special price for 'dumb americans'. literally 10x the standard. maybe that just proves stupidity.. allllsssssoooo cuba, iran, cambodia (in the killing fields they actually site the us as the ones to blame for khmer rouges rise to power), a lot of south american countries. and the DEA?? what the [bleep]? what country could be so selfish as to police the world itself. the worst thing is that you always take the high ground, like your doing everything for the better of the world. [cabbage]. oil, money, bettering us all the us (gvmnt) cares about. i remmebr a fox news broadcast about the iraq elections, they were taking the piss out of iraq for using a pen and paper and for having so many candiadates. thats mainstream news man, watch the bbc, thats how its done. oh yeah and labelling al jazeera as terrorists when theyre infact one of the least bias news channels out there, simply because they expose the wrong doings of the US? ~[bleep] THE US. EDIT post above ^^^^ do superpowers need to? what are the other superpowers, id say Russia, China and possibly india. russia has been involved in one war in the past 10 years (cant remember much more). i dont have any proof but the name hardly crops up. china is fairly bad tbf, but no were near as bad as the us.

1) are you thai or french? 2) tribal tattoos are the mark of tools and douches [unless the person is actually of that tribe] 3) older emo and a7x should not be used in the same sentence 4) how have you survived this long on the internet? 1. no im english, but ive lived in france for a year and am doing 2 years of uni in france, have spent 5/6months in thailand. why do u care mate, its my body. does it personally insult you?? who the [bleep] are u to judge eh? i also speak french so er... am i allowed to have it now?? 2. your opinion mate, thats stupid though. plenty of my mates have tribal tatoos and theyre not douches, you sound like a douche. 3. why? 4. becaue the internets not full of you :shades:

Doubling Money.. and Other Weird phenomena..
Ok. I doyn't think purely theoretical assumptions belong here. Point is, in reality there is no chance to win, not even in the long term, if the odds are against you. should be 'there is no chance to win in the long term' because there's plenty of chance to win in the short term. and apparently if u had say 100m and you started on a 200k bet you could end up winnning by just doubling your bet each time until you do, then quitting. but i still don't understand how that can be true because surely it applies to real life? and if there's an unbeatable way to bet then everyone would gamble??

Females playing RS?
no your not i already gave a sexistr reason. man sexism annoys me, girls are different to guys. girls that are more like guys have too much testosterone. from my experience in life all the girls ive known that have had similar interests than me have turned out to be lesbians/trannys. no joke  plus rs is different to standard video games..

Are these items worth buying?
[hide] oh really? fury is universally better than tassets. AND it is cheaper. sorry, but you were wrong. [/hide] lol fairplay :P although id wear a str ammy :o u what? better than what a glory? i no it is. im talking about pricewise though. whatever personaly ill always choose str over fury if im low on money. edit:str ammy has more str than fury? weird. i think i might be looking at the wrong stats when i equip myself but first i go for str bonus. allways
