I may not live in the UK, but WHAT is so DIFFICULT about registering for something? If you really enjoy using BB guns, then take the time and money to buy the liscence you need, take the time to find a shop, and go do it. I think it's the lack of real commitment to doing something you enjoy that's the issue here. You really don't get it, in all the time I've lived here, I've seen one shop, about 5 hours away from my house and it was shut. I've heard of another shop but I think that shut down and it's 2 hours from my house anywhere. I have no lack of commitment to doing it or I wouldn't pay for the guns and ammo... Well, you may not be able to purchase them online, but you CAN use the internet to actually see if there is a shop nearby. And if I were committed to something, I would travel for that amount of time. I also wouldn't be worried about needing to be registered for it, I would just do it. If the law requires face-to-face purchasing, then any UK-based internet shop for said BB guns will be shut down accrding to the law, which means they would need a physical store. Actually most of them have switched to just selling ammo and accessories. I have googled for some shops but nothing has really come up.

It's not just the look of them, as I already said, it's a lot harder to buy them, you can't buy them on the internet, you have to be a register airsofter and you need to go to the actual shop (of which there are VERY few)

Where did I say there was a cool factor? Airsofting is fun, BB guns don't shoot metal pellets, that's air rifles, I don't really care about those really, I was concentrating on the part of the law that messed around with BB guns. As I said before it is very very hard to kill someone with a BB gun. You say BB guns are dangerous, you could argue everything is dangerous, getting shot with a BB gun will hurt but it's a lot less dangerous than some other things which are currently legal.

Actually the police are being given tasers. I agree, you shouldn't even take your BB gun off your property.

If you take a look at the clear guns, they are fugly and their power has been decreased. It's so much harder to buy them as well. You need to meet them face to face which is so much harder and in a lot of circumstances you need to be a registered airsofter. If the police pointed at gun at someone with an airsoft gun, there is no way they would aim their gun at them unless they were mentally unstable...

Load the gun, shoot the guy in the mouth (Assuming your close enough.). Or you hold the victim down and shoot them right in the temple. Even if the thing does not break the skin, it can kill a person from being struck by such a force in that area.BB guns are usually used in airsofting when you aren't close enough to shoot into someone's mouth and even if you do do what you said, it's still probably not going to kill them, I've been shot in the head before and it isnt very different from when you get shot in the arm for example.

On the 1st of October the British Government brought in a new law called the VCR Act (Violent Crime Reduction Act). Basically this new law made it impossible to buy and use a powerful BB gun that doesn't look crap, you can now only buy clear coloured BB guns which look awful. They have no real reason for this law, it was mostly triggered when Reese Jones was shot with a real gun when he got in the middle of a gang fight and as the government canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t actually make real firearm laws any stricter, they decided to tighten the closest thing to real firearms which are air rifles and BB guns.
