Emo
You know, i dislike the emo trend as much as anyone, but you're just a complete idiot. I have plenty of friends who listen to emo music more than any other genre, some of them even have the stereotypical emo haircut, but they're great fun to be with and i've never known any of them to be depressed about anything. How you can say "everyone hates emo" is beyond me - unless of course you've personally surveyed the entire 6billion person population of the planet, then kindly shut your yap. The thing that annoys me more than people who succumb to trends in order to be "cool", is people who will judge a person based solely on the clothes they wear, or the music they listen to. People might see that i have long hair, piercings, baggy jeans, i listen to metal, and think i'm some kind of loser who will never amount to anything - i'm perfectly fine with that, it's their loss as far as i'm concerned. They know nothing about me, and never will. I don't need friends who only like me for my taste in clothes or music, i have true friends that never question anything about who i am, because they know me and i know them. If you carry on with this attitude for the rest of your life you're going to end up very sad, and very alone - and judging by the attitude you've displayed in this thread, i'd say that's no more than you deserve.

Facial hair/shaving
Twice a day? Are you Homer Simpson? Not at all, but remember, the more you shave, the faster it grows back. After several years...I mean...give me 4 or 5 hours and I it'll be visible again. Thats an urban myth i dunno about quicker but it certainly comes in thicker and more visible http://www.snopes.com/oldwives/hairgrow.asp The part of the hair we style is already dead. The living sections lie below the surface of the scalp. Cutting or shaving the extreme end of the dead section isn't going to have an impact on the parts that are alive. Go forth to shave and trim as much as you like ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ã

SAVE Tookie
If i was in his shoes i wouldn't have killed 4 defenceless people, and left one guy without a mother, father or sister, for the sake of $220. Do you think the relatives (not that there's many left in the case of the second robbery) and friends of the people he slaughtered want his sentence reduced? I'd doubt it. The only travesty here is that he's been allowed to live this long after the crimes he committed - i'll never understand why a death sentence has to wait 20 years to be carried out, while the taxpayer funds the last decades of the life of a convicted criminal.

SAVE Tookie
From Wikipedia: As Darryl and Sims walked to the counter area to take money from the register, Williams walked behind Owens, pulling the sawed-off shotgun from under his jacket and told Owens to ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åshut up and keep walking.̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

"There's no such thing as a legal killing" "let the government know that you cant kill people period" Remind me exactly why this guy is in jail? I can see the point to a certain extent, but the people rambling on about how many lives he's saved and how he's such an anti-gang advocate seem to forget that he's the guy (or one of the guys) who started the whole gang warfare 'thing' to begin with. By starting the crips he's caused the end of far more lives than he will ever save.- Last night - Lamb of God, Devildriver, and neck pain
Yup, last night my eardrums got an almighty beating at the London Astoria :D I'd never been to that particular venue before, and after hearing it is used as a gay bar 4 nights a week, i was a little curious as to how well it would hold a metal night. I'm not sure how many people there were, but i'd hazard a guess at around 1000 - most of them stuffed into the pit in front of the stage. I decided i didn't particularly want to get my arse kicked, so i managed to get a place in the front row of the lower balcony, which was about 20 feet from the stage and offered a great view. I actually missed the first band (The Agony Scene), but to be fair i didn't even know they were on the bill. After a brief soundcheck, Devildriver hit the stage, opening with the 1st track from their latest album "The Fury Of Our Makers Hand". Man, they were LOUD, the bass drums were insane, guitars sounded beefy as hell and Dez Fafara totally rocked the place with his vocals and constant motivation of the crowd to "never let life get you down". The set was incredible, with songs from both of their albums thrown in. After about 3 songs Dez let the crowd know that they were being filmed for an upcoming dvd because "i told them that london had the craziest [bleep]s in the world" - he wasn't far wrong. They ended their ~ 30 minute set by asking the crowd to chant "Lamb of God" with them, a nice gesture for their "friends, who were good enough to bring them out on tour". They then left the stage to a huge applause, definitely a job well done. About half an hour went by before some dude with a ski mask on came onstage asking "do you want lamb of god?", and of course, we did. On they came to some indian chanting, before slamming into the opening riff of "Laid To Rest" - at this point i realised that Devildriver was like easy listening compared to these guys, the guitars were absolutely deafening. The rest of the set went by with a lot of variation - songs from their latest album included Omerta, Now You've Got Something To Die For, The Faded Line, Ashes Of The Wake, Hourglass, and What I've Become, with some stuff from "As the palaces burn" thrown in for good measure (Ruin, 11th Hour and the title track, all were done brilliantly). Lamb Of God have always advertised themselves as 'pure american metal', and that they were as they finished in typical fashion with 'Black Label' from one of their first albums. After all that, they thanked the crowd for putting them where they are today, shook a few hands in the front row and the gig was over. I made my way onto the london underground with a ringing in my ears and the feeling that my ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã12.50 (yes, ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã12.50 for a ticket) was money very well spent.- Hypnotize - SOAD
They dislike the government, not the country. If they hated the country, they wouldn't live there, would they?- T0P Actors?
If you want to see Nicholas Cage really express himself, check out Adaptation.- Facial hair/shaving
Man, shaving is like a science for me: Step 1: Wash face with hot water and nivea facial scrub Step 2: Apply king of shaves shaving gel Step 3: Shave with Gillette Mach 3 Razor Step 4: Wash off excess gel with hot water Step 5: Dry face Step 6: Apply either Nivea moisturiser, or Nivew aftershave soothing balm ^ ftw- T0P Actors?
In no particular order: Ed Norton Robert De Niro Brad Pitt Al Pacino Marlon Brando Denzel Washington Benicio Del Toro Johnny Depp Kevin Spacey Joe Pesci Ray Liotta Harvey Kietel Samuel L Jackson Christian Slater Mickey Rourke Ethan Hawke Gary Oldman Woody Harrelson Bit of a pattern there really, a lot of those people have been in movies together.- Guitar Progress
I'm not sure i'd agree with that. Chili's use a lot of finger picking, i've always advised people to learn songs by people like Nirvana or Green Day, mainly because they use power chords (for the most part), and any solo's they play are easy to figure out.- Messing with Telemarketers
How about getting a real job instead?! And what exactly do you do for a living that's making such a positive impact on society? All you ever seem to do is spend your time pulling pranks on people, setting fire to things or faking kidnappings.- Messing with Telemarketers
We get some really devious charities phoning us at work. They basically call up, and ask for someone by their first name (which gives the impression that they know them on a personal basis), then they'll say something like "tell him it's Steve", again giving the impression that the person they've asked for will know who they are. When they actually get the person they want to talk to, they say something along the lines of "we spoke a few weeks ago and you said you'd like to advertise on our calender" - this is a complete lie, but again is designed to make the person think "maybe i did talk to this person, but forgot about it". We used to get about 3 of these type of calls each day, but now we're on the register for not receiving calls like this, we rarely get one. I don't even understand how what they're doing is legal - it's deception. They're telling lies in order to make money, we've even had some charities give fake company names that relate to our business. I've never bothered playing along with them, simply because i don't have the time - especially at work. Usually i'll just hang up as soon as they say "this is john smith from x company", or if they're really persistant i'll start getting abusive - you'd be surprised how a simple, loud "f*** off!" can work so well. Edit: And they're ALWAYS foreign. I've had absolutely no calls of this nature from someone with an English accent.- Current Favorite Song?
Cracking album, i'm seeing them tomorrow night :D- Current Favorite Song?
I'm definitely digging Deftones cover of Simple Man by Lyrnyrd Skynryd right now. It's on the b-sides and rarities album they released recently.- Need for spped 1,2 and most wanted
You get the option to choose body kits for the car, but there are only about 5 for each car. Other than that it's pretty standard - window tint, rims, rim colour, rim size, spoiler type/colour, roof scoop, hood scoop, vinyls - that's about all you can customize in terms of the cars appearance.- Metal bands - Recommendations?
