Despite the slightly questionable sexuality of the villain, Commando still reigns supreme as the most badass Arnie film.
-
Why would anyone who doesn't like metal feel the need to read a thread titled "Metal bands - recommendations?"?
-
Oh come on people, friggin' COMMANDO! That film had the best one liners i've heard in my life, Arnold ruled in that bad boy.
-
Bah, Religion. I would say i have no problem with it, but i can't even say "merry christmas" in my own country for fear of offending someone.
-
Hey i never said anything about Green Day as a band, all i said was their songs are easy, and good for beginners.
-
The dude can shred, but i can't help thinking he looked a bit like Cher in that clip. Sunli: He was killed while performing onstage. Some idiot "fan" shot him.
-
Good call. Their new album is awesome, and they're incredible live.
-
Yeah, i've heard that Rocky's adversary is played by Antonio Tarver, and Mike Tyson makes a cameo appearance.
-
Jesus man, Alexisonfire are not even close to black metal.
-
I'm not saying anyone's cheated, i'm just saying it seems odd that if you looked through this thread at what people have posted as their choice, you would think that Godfather was a long way ahead.

When i had tonsilitis i gargled with paracetemol, that was the best thing i ever tried. Not sure if that would work though because the pain is in your throat :?
-
Good call man, i was gonna mention Maynard and Chino. Only other guy i had in mind was Matt Bellamy from Muse, if only for his range.
-
Flea is an awesome bassist, especially considering he can't read music. Aside from him, i really like Ryan Martinez from Mudvayne, the guy is incredible to watch.

I can't imagine anyone could complete it to 100% that fast on their first play through the game, or without a guide book telling them where all the horseshoes, oysters, grafitti tags etc are located.
-
Snatch has a pretty nice soundtrack, as do many of Tarantino's films. Dazed and Confused has a pretty cool soundtrack too.
-
Here's a list of everything needed for 100% completion http://www.gta-sanandreas.com/guides/10 ... /index.php
-
Jerry Cantrell from Alice In Chains has released some decent material since Layne passed away. Also, John Frusciante from RHCP has some pretty cool solo stuff out.

I find it hard to believe you can complete GTA San Andreas to 100% in a week. That's all the storyline missions, gaining all the territories, taxi missions, ambulance missions, firetruck missions, pimp missions, all the cars delivered to the garage, all the sub-missions, all the rampages, all the bike/car/plane school missions, all the running/swimming/biking missions, all the graffiti tags...... i'm pretty sure there's more but even that lot would take way more than a week.

It can be argued quite easily really, seeing as you have absolutely no proof to back up your claims. That's what i've been saying since the start, and still you choose to ignore it. You can stop with the pity plee aswel, i've never once resorted to "name calling", (although it would be easy to) you just don't seem to have any answer to any of the questions that anyone in this thread has posed, so you keep feeding us with "but, but most people hate emo, it's right because i said so". If everyone hated emo, you wouldn't have so many people to contend with in this thread, would you? Surely even you can understand the logic behind that statement.
-
And the back-pedalling continues. Why make a statement like "everyone hates emo", and then go on to say that there are people in this thread who like it? There have been 6 or 7 people on this page of the thread alone who disagree with you, and yet you still exaggerate the numbers to be "20 for and 3 against". You say i should go back and read the first few pages, maybe you should do that yourself, and again read your own words like "There's a reason everyone hates emo and its followers". If you all of a sudden don't dislike the kids, but just the music, why say something like that? I don't even know why you bothered mentioning my post count, as far as i'm concerned it could be reset to zero tomorrow and i wouldn't care. To use your own words, it's never given me any "sense of immunity", and i don't see why it should - nor do i see what you think i need immunity from. I've never denied that people hate emo music, it's fairly obvious to anyone with a shred of intelligence that even if 99% of the world's population loved it, there's always going to be someone who hates it. This is what you seem to have trouble realising - people do actually have opinions that differ to yours, regardless of how many times you want to tell yourself you're right, and everyone agrees with you.

I wasn't aware that 130 people even viewed this board :?
-
You're from Bristol? Wow, only about 20 minutes from me. Anyway, i'm not really a fan of techno, or very knowledgable on the subject, but some of it i can listen to when i'm in the mood.
-
Am i the only one who's noticed that the majority of people posting in this thread have voted for the godfather? Why are there so many more votes for ROTK?
-
I always thought Arch Enemy were pretty good live, but then again the last time i saw them was in 2004 so maybe they've lost their edge a bit in the last 18 months :? Lageris, that show sounds pretty cool. I'm not too keen on SYL, but i would definitely like to see Throwdown.
-
But, but, he's right and everyone agrees with him! Seriously "poopingman", i could watch a bmx video in reverse and see less back-pedalling than you've done in this thread. On page 1 you said "there's a reason everyone hates emos", and now you're saying you can tolerate some of them? Not that your argument had any point to begin with, but that sentence pretty much dis-credited it anyway. The only argument you have is some statistic you seem to have dreamed up in your head that 10 times more people hate emo than like it - where exactly is your source? Is it the thousands of people that attend 'emo' concerts? Is it the millions of people buying albums by emo bands? Or is it just the fact that you have absolutely no proof to back up your claims, and you're just hoping that the people in this thread are too stupid to see that? I'm not even going to bother with your notion that "everyone agrees with me" - if they did, you wouldn't have had to put up with the 3 pages of bickering that you seem to think is none of your fault either. They say ignorance is bliss - no wonder you seem so happy with yourself.
