  1. Yeah that's the one. It's 1 bedroom but end terraced with a 2 floor garage, and additional parking space. The people that own it now have recently put in a whole new kitchen, bathroom, and living room floor, so it's really up-together (not sure how long that will last after i've moved in). Pretty good VFM considering the part of town it's in.
  2. Definitely gonna have a large and in charge housewarming, should be about 6 weeks before i move in if all goes well. I'm actually paying ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã115k for this house, but the mortgage is interest only at a fixed rate for 3 years. This works out to about ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã380 per month (i think with Alliance & Leicester). I did it this way because it means i can keep costs down for a few years while still living in the house, then obviousy in 3 years when i've got a higher monthly earning, i can start a repayment mortgage. The only advice i can give you is to make a budget for how much you know you'll be spending each month (stuff like car insurance, council tax, mobile phone bills, internet, house insurance, gas, electricity, water, food, petrol), but over budget for each one. Just be very, very sure that it's an affordable thing to do - no one wants to work 40 hours a week so they can pay off their bills and be left with nothing to save/spend.
  3. Hmmmm well i guess i'm pretty much at the other end of the scale, having just had an offer accepted on a house - no disposable income for me! I don't know about that article really, i think it just depends on the person. If someone wants to go out and drink themself half to death for 5 nights a week, they'll find a way regardless of how much cash they have lying around.

Oh yeah, she was at V festival :P I'm sure there's a few i've forgotten about..... saw NERD aswel come to think of it. *edits post*
  6. Spun is a cracking film, it's just filmed in such a great way, and the characters are really convincing. Mickey Rourke's small monologue in the 'adult' shop had me cracking up, wish i could quote it here.... I agree with you on Snatch, too. One of my favourite films ever, i have it on DVD and must have seen it 20 times at least.

  8. Last film i watched was The Butterfly Effect, and i really enjoyed it. I'm a big fan of the psychological element in films, and this one really used that style well. I'd give you a brief plot outline but to be honest you have to see it to understand it.
  9. The CD changers that are boot mounted (or trunk mounted) do tend to skip a lot, because of their placement, which is usually over the rear axel. Not sure what to suggest really as i've never owned one myself, but try talking to the people who sold you the car. Unfortunately, i think what matt said is probably right, unless you have some kind of warranty which covers audio equipment.
  10. I'm in safe mode (with networking) as we spe..... errrrr type. I can access anything i would normally use (firefox, IE, IRC, msn messenger), i can save files, create new files, everything seems to be fine. Windows system restore is next on my list of options. I'll probably do this in the morning.
  11. Done an adaware scan, spybot scan, and regular virus scan. 12. Cheers for the input guys. Just finishing the backing up process, then i'll do the scans, post logs and go from there. Formatting really is gonna be a last resort so i'll try whatever i can when i'm done backing up.
  13. I don't come here very often, but i'm near enough praying that someone will know how to help me with this... I turned my computer on this morning (after shutting down properly last night), and it's taken about 3-4 minutes to start up. I'm then faced with my desktop background, and (eventually), desktop icons. Around half of these icons load their images, the rest are just blank, but none of them can be clicked. I can't right click, the taskbar is locked as if it's loading (an egg timer comes up when i hover over it), the clock is just stopped and has been for over 20 minutes. The only thing i can open is task manager, to shut my computer down. I called the helpdesk of the company that made my computer, and they've told me to do a factory restart. THIS IS SOMETHING I WANT TO AVOID. I'm now in the process of moving everything i want to keep from the C to D drive, but i'm extremely concerned that i'll end up losing something important (i work from home, so this computer literally contains EVERYTHING). Does anyone have any (and i mean any) ideas? I'm on a different computer at the moment but i can't access anything on the one with the problem - it's currently in safe mode so i can backup the important files. side note: if anyone from dw see's this, poke hannibal towards the topic :P
  14. I was thinking that. The Ps3 controllers look like crap, and that's coming from someone who's owned and loved ps1 and ps2.
  15. I understand the fact that you're one of the biggest tools this board has ever seen. You say you're not a racist after saying "but i believe it was my countrymen that kicked his countrymens a*ses out of this country and thank god they did because I couldn't stand living in a country run by morons"? Yeah, way to be understandable there buddy. See this ->,<-, it's called a comma - try using it once in a while.
  16. And you criticized me for being a "pen pusher" who "sits behind a desk all day".
  17. 30 mins from Frome to Trowbridge? You really do drive like an old man
  18. I read the thread title quickly and thought it said "Hurricane Rizla"
  19. i haven't been into most Muse stuff.. What song(s) does he do it ? Pretty much any song, but there's one on their live album where he sings really high... I think it's Micro Cuts.
  20. Some operatic singers can hit crazy high notes, but as far as the type of music i listen to goes, i'd say Matt Bellamy from Muse can hit some pretty high pitched notes.
  21. In a place like Iraq, i'd probably expect it.
