Alduron: I'm not going to argue against anything you've said, but i can tell from the way you phrase things that you are one of the people i mentioned who views marijuana as being on the same plateau as things like Heroin and Cocaine. Only someone with that attitude could describe the process of smoking a joint as "doing marijuana". I've learned that i can't change the views of that kind of person, so i won't bother. As far as the kids suicide you spoke about, you said their parents had no idea they had problems, and no idea they smoked weed. Which do you think caused them to kill themselves? People like you (and probably the parents of the children involved) will look straight past the problems that child may have had, and say "it's those evil drugs that caused him to kill himself". Chances are the kids probably tried smoking weed as an escape from their problems - it didn't work, so they committed suicide. They didn't commit suicide because they started smoking weed! Once again, i'll make the point that i know the health risks involved. Nobody needs to drum that in to me, i'm well aware of it. What i will not accept is the far fetched ideas that are being thrown around in this thread - not every person that smokes a joint is going to end up dead in 5 years (for the record i've been smoking since i was 16, so i'm 2 years overdue to meet my maker, right?). Not everyone that smokes a joint is going to "behave irresponsibly" and injure people around them, and not everyone that smokes weed is going to take their own life because of the drug. Just out of interest, do you drink coffee? Alcohol? I'm not trying to compare them to marijuana, i'd just be very surprised if someone who has as strict an attitude towards things that pollute your body as you do, had ever even tried those 2 substances.

Do you deal with a lot of marijuana overdoses in your job? Edit: Oh, and just so you know, i'm perfectly "grown up" thanks. I live in a house of my own, drive my own car to work every day, pay my own bills, cook my own food and make my own decisions. Aside from that, i don't live in a ghetto, which means my likeliness of getting 'capped' is pretty low. Also, seeing as my older brother is the person i buy my weed from, i'd say i don't really need to lose any sleep about him shooting me for the price of an 8th. Your post sounds like the usual propaganda - that or a badly scripted episode of CSI. Believe what you want, but not every person who smokes a spliff once a week is going to end up getting shot by a dealer when they're "scoring their next hit" as you put it. The more i read it the more it really does sound like a bad hollywood movie.

I see one every time i look in the mirror, and i can honestly say the only "suspicious death" i have a chance of being involved in is from over indulging on chocolate based snacks after smoking a joint. I'm well aware of the risks involved with smoking cannabis - i'm not going to argue against those facts - but i will say i disagree with the label of "drug user". People seem to have a tendency to lump in your once-weekly weed smoker with a smack head, with the reasoning "but it's all illegal, and a drug is a drug". Yes, a drug is a drug, but cannabis isn't in the same league as anything like coke, pills, speed, crack or heroin.

Spent a week in Andorra from the 8th of January. I know this is a "real life" pic but half of my face is covered and i'm too far away to pick out any real detail. If mods have a problem with it i'll remove it.

That's a little bitter don't you think? I've got a lot of mates who are gearheads, and as long as they don't bother anyone else I think it's cool. Just guys having a laugh. I think the chav part is justified, because to me a chav is more than just someone who wears tracksuits and jewellery from Argos, it's the attitude that goes with it. Some people might say i drive like a boy racer (i'm not a complete idiot, but i don't exactly stick to speed limits if i know there aren't cameras around), but i know well enough when i can put my foot down and when i'd be an idiot to.

True. A kid in the year below me at school spent weeks in hospital after inhaling lighter fluid, it messed him up for life.

Truth. They came into my tent with a camera and woke me up at about 6AM. Gits.

Exactly, the films were the base for the games (or at least the latest 'street' version of the series), but no-one blames them.
-
I'll agree with that, although i do actually like all of their albums. I haven't actually listened to hypnotize much, even though i do own it.

Yeah man, that scene was ace. I also loved the bit where he snapped about 3 limbs of one guy before elbowing him through a wall. Coolest reload ever.

Who do u think is the top 5 greatest guitar players?
Rizla replied to ladydeath89's topic in Off-Topic
I've just realised that of the 4 or 5 posts i've made in this topic, i haven't actually mentioned my favourite guitarists in any of them. Well, here goes: Stephen Carpenter - Deftones Dimebag - Pantera, Damageplan Hendrix Joe Satriani Jerry Cantrell - Alice In Chains Tom Morello - RATM, Audioslave Dave Navarro - Jane's Addiction, RHCP Zakk Wylde - Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne Andreas Kisser - Sepultura Corey Beaulieu - Trivium Michael/Christopher Amott - Arch Enemy Willie Adler - Lamb Of God Ken Susi - Unearth -
who do u spend more time with ure family or runescape?
Rizla replied to meatbag66's topic in Music, Movies & Television
I'm just wondering if you can explain the logic behind choosing a forum titled "music and movies" to post something about runescape? Aside from that, what kind of sad case spends more time playing a game than they do interacting with other people, especially their own family? -
Ozzy Osbourne - Down To Earth I picked it up for ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã5 last week.

I concur. At the end of the day, a computer game is always going to be a bunch of pixels. Anyone who can't differentiate between that, and shooting someone on the street, is clearly in need of phsychological help.

What i find funny is that in most cases where you have someone who blames the actions of a child on a video game, the game in question is usually meant to be sold to people who are older than the child they're talking about. Parents buy their kids these games then look to blame something else when they react to them, it's pathetic. That being said, i'm a firm believer that video games, films, or any other material that is seen to "promote violence" will not have any negative effect on a normal person. The sort of people you read about who go out and hack up their friends after playing Doom are screwed in the head to begin with - the game/film was merely a trigger for this behaviour. If it wasn't the game or the film, it might have been something they saw on the news, something they heard at school, something they saw in the street.

Yeah i must admit i'd rather have the nipple piercing. Looking like you're attempting to produce a G# on a flute every time you take a leak doesn't really appeal to me.
-
I spoke to a guy who works in a piercing studio, and he has everything pierced (and i mean everything, the guy has 5 piercings below the belt). He said the most painful (and by far) was his nipple - i think it has the most nerve endings or something.

I watched Wedding Crashers last night (i was in the mood for something light-hearted). Not a bad movie, but it was certainly not as good as i expected it to be. I've seen Vince Vaughn in a few films and i'd say this is probably the worst (Old School and Swingers are far better). The last 15-20 minutes or so were pretty awful, the typical 'romantic' ending really offered nothing new. I'd probably give this film 5/10, and i doubt i'd watch it again.

"I slept with your best friend" From my then g/f. That one pretty much felt like being stabbed in the back with a large twist for good measure. Other than that, failing my driving test felt pretty bad.

At 17 i wouldn't have thought you were old enough for that.

Lip piercing won't hurt at all. I got mine done in June of last year and hardly felt a thing (without any numbing agent either). I hate needles, so trust me, if i can get it done, anyone can. Just make sure you take a good look aorund the studio before you get it done. Make sure the place is clean, and that you're comfortable with the people who will be doing the piercing. Any good piercer will answer any questions you have, as well as offer 'aftercare' (usually a sort of leaflet telling you how to care for your piercing). Trust me on this next one; do everything the aftercare sheet tells you to - the last thing you want is an infection. Having your lip pierced will make it hard to eat for a couple of days, and you will probably catch the back of the bar on your teeth quite frequently (which hurts like hell), so just be careful and prepare to eat things like soup for a couple of days. I'd advise you to use mouthwash after every meal or snack (to keep your mouth germ free), and you should also use a saline solution (or salt water) to clean the 'jewellery' twice daily. This will vary from piercer to piercer, but it's what i did and my piercing has never given me any troubles. I'm by no means an expert on these type of things but i do know it's worth looking after the piercing properly.

Were they in that stupid blue font aswel, or did he switch it up to a crimson red to really ram his point home?
-
Exactly. I just ignore people who post in a hard to read colour, most of the time the posts are worthless anyway.
