  1. There's no need to bump your thread on this forum.̢̮â¬Å¡ÃâàYou'll notice that your thread was already the first topic in this forum  You really only need to bump if it fall off the first page, which won't happen for a couple weeks anyway :P
  2. Any post flaming/harassing an individual or group of people (specific type of pure or player) violates our rules anyway. If people are being harassed, they should report the post(s) and the chances are high that it will be removed. But like all things, rules only do so much. Some people choose not to follow them at all, so you naturally can't expect everyone not to flame each other because the rules say you can't. But again, if you see someone flaming another person or group of people, report their post/thread so we can handle it.
  3. Locked on author's request (question answered).
  4. Unlocked on author's request. This time, knock off the flaming, all of you. If I have to come back here and notice the same people flaming, you will suffer the consequences.
  5. Thanks so much~! I'm glad you agree! -blush- 99 cost me about 120m. But I do believe it's slightly cheaper now that planks aren't 500-550 ea like they were in November (maybe 80m-100m?). 120m eh? i think i can do that... *checks his bank for money* *sees that he has 88k* *wonders how much 88k is of 120m* *pulls out a calculator* *cries because it's 0.7% of the money needed* Aww:( Well don't feel too bad. Before I got 99 construction, I didn't exactly have 100m piled up either;) I will! ...once my house is complete!! Haha I was pretty impatient with having an oak/empty house as well. I dove into decorating as soon as possible! ROFL XD That's pretty much what happened to Dork and I just now -will show pictures later- Wow awesome! Congratulations!! It was great running into you ^.^ Thanks. Too bad it's only 52 Runecrafting. That's not so bad :) Haha thanks!! ^.^ Aww thank you! That's kind of you :) I agree.. >.< I'm not mad because I went through all that brutal clicking, but just because Jagex is making this game too easy. Pretty soon, we'll just have to click once an hour and hardly even watch the game screen -rolls eyes- I haven't even tested it out myself, actually. I swear, I didn't!! :uhh: Anyway, as I said above, I'm not upset because I missed out on "make x" for herblore, but just because Jagex is making RuneScape far too easy. There is absolutely no need to follow the desires of the lazier players (no offense to anyone, this is just how i feel). This is a computer game, we're supposed to be clicking and working towards our goals, not sitting back and doing something else while our character works away -sigh- Anyway... enough ranting.. sorry about that :uhh: ahem. She didn't really get 99 Herblore 2 months ago... more like a month. June 19 to be exact. Maybe you should read the blog... Anyways, I would have rather of gotten it before Make X. That takes away some of my respect in a cape. Why do you think Fletching and Cooking are so common and also hated? Mainly because anyone can do it and not even be at the computer. (I know someone will say then why don't you have 99 in both. In response, I would much rather go after a goal more challenging, and time consuming. Something that requires me to think every once and awhile what I am doing.) It took Tripsis a lot more work than it would take anyone that is too lazy to click the mouse. That makes Tripsis and the cape even more respectable than it was in the first place. Good job Trip, got 99 before Make X! It did take a lot of work, actually, lol XD My wrist ached by the end of it!! She didn't really get 99 Herblore 2 months ago... more like a month. June 19 to be exact. It took Tripsis a lot more work than it would take anyone that is too lazy to click the mouse. That makes Tripsis and the cape even more respectable than it was in the first place. Good job Trip, got 99 before Make X! i was trying to remember if it was may or june.... and i have read the blog, i didn't see when see acquired 99 herblore. and yes, it does make the cape less respectable if you get it afterwards, but noone except the readers of this blog will know she got it before the make x. that's why i don't see the point in calling someone with a cooking cape a noob, you don't know if they got it before or after cook x. I don't see the point in calling anyone a noob unless they act like one... In which case I probably still wouldn't call them one anyway, just because I don't have the heart to do it :uhh: I'm glad to hear that you liked it!!!! ^.^ I agree with you, but Fletching and cooking were always easy. Even before Make X. In classic it was even easy. That's why I never call anyone a noob or what not. They still took the time to get a 99 which most people don't do. That's still respectable. Anyhoot, Go Tripsis! I am in your world since 99 has been full all day! Maybe I'll see you? I wanna be kamakazied by your dragon! Well I'm afraid you'll have to wait a bit longer, hehe! I probably won't have my little party until I'm fully done with my house.. or at least my dungeon. And I think Dork and I decided to get two hellhounds now!! We'll see!! ----- Well I finally got this today: It was definitely way overdue -blush- Then Dork and I had a little dungeon fun after getting my dragon: ^^ Me buying it ^^ Dork making his way through the dungeon (isn't he strong? ) ^^ The battle begins!!! Drumroll please~! ^^ Dork dying after I told him not to -shakes fist- ^^ I got like 2-hit shortly after... -shifty eyes- ^^ Another awesome hit by the amazing, astounding, herculean Dork~! ^^ And finally - victory!!! (Dork needed my help finishing him off! And I swear I didn't just hit zeros the whole time)

  9. A few things: For starters, I would not recommend building carved oak tables. Since your construction level is below 74, then build oak larders (they're faster). There are ups and downs to both of the planking options. If you plank the logs yourself, it will cost less gp, but it will take a little longer. If the butler does it for you, the process will be a bit faster, but it will also cost more. In addition to paying the regular "planking fee," you have to pay your butler for his services every 8 loads. Having your butler unnote planks is a slightly faster process than having him get them from the bank. Other than that, there's no real difference.
  10. Wow awesome! :D Congratulations!! It was great running into you ^.^ Mm a little bit of both. Been busy with work and Dork. And working in the morning (and just waking up early) has made me get tired really early. I loved the new Harry Potter movie!! It's my favourite one so far, I think! You should definitely see it. Alright, I will Great! I hope you like it! Mm a little bit of both. Been busy with work and Dork. And working in the morning (and just waking up early) has made me get tired really early. I loved the new Harry Potter movie!! It's my favourite one so far, I think! You should definitely see it. Alright, I will I should too, I thought it was going to be released in November! Gooooo Trip! Eeep! I don't think I could have waited until November to see it! XD Haha whatever works! XD Hopefully I'll be getting my dragon today! Though I'm absolutely exhausted from working this morning :( I'm not a morning person.. I agree! It definitely could have been longer. Apparently the movie was originally closer to 3 hours, but they cut it down to 2 hours and 18 minutes or so. I would love it if they released "extended" versions of the Harry Potter movies, like they did with Lord of the Rings. The LotR extended version were usually 4+ hours! I just think it'd be neat to see what the movie was like before it was edited down to 2:18. I'm glad to hear that you liked it! Perhaps I should look into a few books by those authors. It's rare that I get my hands on any reading materials other than Harry Potter, rofl XD Eoin Colfer and Dan Brown are both awesome. I loved Angels and Demons (Dan Brown) and The Supernaturalist (Eoin Colfer). Artemis Fowl were all good too, though I haven't read the fifth one yet. I read 2 chapters in the bookstore ...... I read waaaay too much, and really really fast. I'm a nerd. You should definitely look into a few, and I'm gonna check out some of the others DK mentioned. Hurry up and get 86 farming! Stupid house. I like the dungeon layout though. I actually tried reading Angels and Demons and Artemis Fowl (but didn't succeed) :uhh: I guess those two just didn't draw me in enough. -chuckles- Maybe I'll get 86 today when I get home. I'm actually leaving shortly to get the final shot in the series for the cervical cancer vaccine :ohnoes: Sorry - no pic no proof!!!~!W~!~!!!!!!!!!#!@)(!EwqFWJdcAOI)@#(&%@)#5e  :XD: That would be awesome!! It'd make it even more challenging to find the treasure room, which would be cool! ----- Well I had to work this morning -gag- and in about a half hour I'm off to the doctor to get a shot >.< Theeeen I can come home and RC some more, assuming I don't fall asleep, and finally get my steel dragon! Keep your fingers crossed for me~!
  11. Now I understand the situation completely and you did scam this fellow. Whether he was trying to scam you first doesn't matter. The fact is that you scammed him and you never witnessed him doing anything wrong. Jagex defines scamming as deceiving other players and this was certainly deception. Whether or not he was trying to scam you, he was under the impression that you would give him your item in exchange for his dragon chain. Then after a few minutes, you would swap back. It doesn't matter if he was going to run off with your item or not, because he didn't and you don't know what his intentions were. Now because you broke that mutual "promise" of returning each others items and ran off with his dragon chain instead, you deceived him - which under Jagex's definition, qualifies as item scamming. You don't know whether he was going to run off with your item or not, because you didn't give him that chance. Instead, you ran off with his. You never witnessed him doing anything wrong. Locking this for that reason. If you think my logic is twisted, making this lock unjustified, then please contact one of our administrators. But either way, a story like this probably isn't best suited in BlogScape to begin with.
  12. That's wonderful! I'm glad to hear that you're making good progress ^.^ Keep it up~! Rofl thank you baby! Haha I love gardens! If we had no room limit, I'd surround my house with them! I guess I just have a 'thing' for magic trees, flowers and fountains :uhh: I took a look at your house plans the other day and it looks great! Be sure to invite me over when you spice it all up! I'm glad to hear that you liked it! Perhaps I should look into a few books by those authors. It's rare that I get my hands on any reading materials other than Harry Potter, rofl XD Thank you! Good luck with that 'graphic thing' Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I normally get in at least two or three runs a day, and sometimes I'm really good with going back every 2 hours, but it varies from day to day. If I'm in the middle of something (like I want to get x natures runes made), then I usually don't like stopping what I'm doing. Yep! Wow 40 rooms! I don't even know what I'd do with 10 more! XD I'm sure I'll have loads of fun! I'll be buying my steel dragon tomorrow, and I'm very excited~! Thanks Chenjs! Me neither!! \ now that is impossible :P Rofl 40 rooms would be insane!! Eeek! Yessir~! :ohnoes: Was fun running into you again the other day! Wahoo! I'm excited for you!! 66 --- Thieving looks awesome by the way! XD 99 now that is impossible n0t if i h4xx0rs t3h g4m3r!11111#!!@ Or wait a long time... *waits* Rofl XD Well it took them ages to come out with the first house limit update, and if they choose to raise it again (which I seriously doubt), you have a lot of waiting to do! :P Thanks so much Panda!! I appreciate it :) Loads of fun - as always~! Hehe thanks for the bump!! ----- A little update on what I've been doing: Not much really. I've been making my 10k nats a day, as promised. I'll probably be getting my steel dragon tomorrow (yaaay!!!), which is really exciting! I'm trying to get the "harder" monsters over with (steel dragon, dagannoth, hellhound, then all the little spiders). Sadly, I'm also working tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday, so no more late nights until work's over with >.< Eeewww.

Please do not post advertisements anywhere other than this sticky: Advertise your thing here - all posted elsewhere = removed. And remember, that if you post anything in another language, you need an English translation.
  14. It was removed because we felt that many (or at least some) people seemed to enjoy them, hence why they're created so often. There was even a thread in this forum a couple months back called, "Do you agree with the 'What if' rule?" (referring to the banning on those topics). The main idea would be to create a "poll and survey" subforum of General Discussion. So instead of those topics appearing in the main General Discussion forum (where discussions are supposed to take place), they would be placed elsewhere. That way, the people who create and respond to them will be able to post them, free from the harassment of the people who are against them. And the people who don't like them won't have to look at t hem anymore :P
  15. I agree 100%. The first Dumbledore was perfect. Sort of that happy, carefree, cute old man type. Exactly how I had imagined Dumbledore to be. Surprisingly, the replacement they found is the exact opposite of the original. He's much more harsh, blunt and less of a cute happy wizard :XD: ----- And I agree, PuppyKing. In the third movie, they looked slightly more to how I imagined them - more "misty" looking. But in the fifth, they look much more like cloaked humans >.<
  16. If I interpreted your suggestion correctly, you're recommending that we add "What is your favourite" and "What if" threads to the Irritating Posting Styles section of the rules? They actually used to be against the rules and we recently removed them :wall: We do have a pretty good discussion going on here about the possibility of creating another forum or subforum of General Discussion. This forum/subforum would be a new home for all these "What is your favourite" and "What if" threads alike. It would be terrific if you could voice your opinion on that particular idea.

  18. @pokemama - At least the way that I'm viewing this 'split' of General Discussion, I don't think that we would determine what belongs in the poll/survey forum just by what a thread's title is. Sure you can word some of them like questions, but here's where you draw the line: We're trying to make the distinction between threads that promote a discussion, and threads that don't. The Future of Dragon Items - - - What is The Future of Dragon Items? ^^ Yes, that can be phrased like a question, but it does promote thought and discussion. The thread is trying to stimulate thought about possible future updates. The degrading community - - - Is the community degrading? ^^ Again, it's not just a simple yes or no answer. Take a look at that thread, it's ten paragraphs! It's trying to stir a discussion about Tip.it's users and the community's future. The "Best-Skill-Cape-Outfit" Contest! - - - What is your "Best-Skill-Cape-Outfit?" - contest! ^^ No, it's not really a discussion, but we've normally let these threads remain in General Discussion, though this is one that could go either way. The "Clothes-That-Match-Skill-Capes" Thread (TONS OF PICS) - - - What Clothes Match-Skill-Capes the best? (TONS OF PICS) ^^ Similar to above thread. -Items Kept to the death - - - What Items are Kept to the death? ^^ This could even belong in Help & Advice actually. But it developed into a discussion about the recent "Items Kept at Death" update. People were discussing why certain items protected over others. It's not a poll-type question. Just thought I'd share this with you (black dragon bad luck) - - - Have you had bad luck at the black dragons? ^^ I couldn't even find that thread so I could examine the content of it, which is very important in determining whether it's poll-like or not Tip.it Times Presents: I have the answer, Mr. Runescape! - - - What did you think of the "Tip.it Times Presents: I have the answer, Mr. Runescape!" ? ^^ The point of those threads isn't just to say, "I liked/didn't like it," but to stir a discussion about what the article was about and share your thoughts. HYT - - - Did you HYT someone today? ^^ That's actually one that I'd put in the poll/survey forum, because it's a "Have you ever.." thread, if you look at the first post. ----- What I'm trying to say, is that we cannot make the distinction based on whether the thread title is phrased as a question. You have to think about two aspects: whether it's a question topic to which no discussion arises, or whether it's a question topic (or any other topic) that promotes a discussion. The poll/survey thread would mostly contain responses like: "My favourite/least favourite ____ is _____" "I would ______ if _____ happened" "Yes that has happened to me/No it has not happened to me" "I would rather do ____ than ______" And so on and so forth. But if a reply could hold meaning and even promote a debate, then it would remain in the General Discussion forum. It depends mostly on the content of the first post and the message it's trying to send than the title of the thread.
  19. Not to worry :) But thank you for aspiring to help our users~!
  20. Probably.. considering the fact that you had a ~14 level head start :-w Wow awesome record!! Good luck with 80! Sorry that you didn't get it last night, but everyone needs a movie break once in a while  Rofl  I'm actually one solid round (by that I mean, assuming no trees died) of trees from 86. Maybe I'll get it today! :D I'll take a look~! Thank you so much Morbid! I appreciate your support! Construction is probably my favourite skill. I would definitely recommend using oak planks to train. Build oak larders until you're level 74, then switch to oak doors. Last time I checked, oak planks were something like 400(?) ea. @Freesia, Dusty, klankaos: Play nice you three :-$ Haha sure XD That'll be fun! I'll have a little house party. Nope, as far as I know, there's no limit. Besides, I've already built all the rooms in my dungeon (so I already have 2 treasure rooms), it's just the monsters that I'm waiting on.
  21. I think that even that could be included in this hypothetical "polls and surveys" sub/forum. Pretty much all question topics, to which no real discussion arises. All "what if" threads, "what is your favourite" threads, "what do you think" threads, "what would you do if" threads, "which would you rather" threads, blah blah blah. I could go on for hours. Basically all question topics for which the answer could only be a few words or a simple picture (in other words, no discussion). It might be a bit difficult at first for people to realize the distinction between something that would belong in the subforum and something that would belong in General Discussion, but after a while I think it will work out pretty well.
