What programs do you use?
There is a lot of information on various programs here: The Gallery Rules, FAQ and Resources (section "V. Media Resources"). Personally, I use PhotoShop CS2, and it's everything you will ever need. It does cost money (but you can download a free 30 day trial), but it does just about everything - digital art, pixel art, animation, photo manipulation and editing, etc. If you still have further questions about art, graphics or the related programs, you may post them here: As your questions or sig resizing here!

Bigger Sigs/ Avatars?
There was a very large thread on this a while back: More Avatar and Signature Freedom. In short: the avatar limit was raised from 80 x 80 to 100 x 100 not too long ago, and the signature limits were revised in 2006. The limits will not be raised anytime soon.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Umm where exactly? I have read every HP book a couple of times (not 7) and I didn't see any signs of affection, more like not speaking to eachother for a week, screaming at each other and stuff. Is that it? Mostly in book six actually, there were a lot of hints, both subtle and unsubtle. To put it simply: Hermione was clearly jealous when Ron started dating Lavender. Then Ron was jealous when Hermione was pretending to date people (when she was trying to make Ron jealous) :P

Sorry but there isn't really much thought or detail put into this :( We prefer guides that require hours of research and contain little-known information. But thank you for aspiring to help the Tip.it community! :mrgreen:

:: tripsis :: 99 Woodcutting!
(I'll reply to all the quotes later, but I haven't got the time nor energy to do it right now :P) With August approached with warp speed, I'm finally beginning to realize that summer vacation is unfortunately drawing to a close. Putting the weather aside (I can't stand the heat), summer is my favourite time of year. After putting up with 7 hours of school for 5 days a week, I finally get to relax. Which is why I am going to take a break from RuneScape for the month of August - to enjoy the remaining month of my summer break. Due to RuneScape, there are several things that I haven't gotten around to doing that I would like to do. For example: reread the Harry Potter series, spend more time with my little sister (after doing so in small increments, I've realized how much I enjoy her silly personality), spend more time drawing and practicing HTML/CSS and maybe even go out to dinner a bit more. I'd really like to milk this final month of summer vacation for all it's worth. I'll still be on Tip.it for several hours a day, and might even post on my blog once in a while.. I just won't be on RuneScape :) So long and thanks for all the fish~! :mrgreen: (I watched Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy last night :uhh: ..can't even say I enjoyed it that much, to be perfectly honest)

herblore, break even?
Training herblore usually falls into two categories: the fast but expensive method and the slow but cheap method. Now, a little more detail: Fast But Expensive The herblore industry is packed with merchants, to put it plainly. Their prices are usually more expensive (but there are so many merchants that those expensive prices are almost the regular prices), but they sell in huge quantities of 1k - 50k (and sometimes even more) herbs. Since you're able to buy so many herbs at once, that makes training herblore be very efficient.. just costly. Cheap But Slow There are several options for this method, I'll quickly highlight each of them. Your first option is to gather your own materials (or some of them). I think this is well known to be a very slow method, and it's true. You can kill Chaos Druids for herbs, along with farming, collect your own second ingredients, and buy your own water-filled vials from General Stores. Now you can do all that at once and make a profit from your potions, or only choose a couple of those (i.e. farm your own herbs but buy seconds and vials from other players). Alternatively, you may try buying unIDs. This method isn't always profitable, but sometimes it is, it all depends on the luck of the herbs. There are several ways that you can go about this method, I'll highlight one of them. Buy unIDed herbs for 1k each. Use all the herbs you can identify and sell the ones that you can't (i.e. sell unIDs over ranarr for 2k ea). And thirdly, you can spend a long time buying small increments of herbs/seconds for cheaper prices. This method takes a long time because you do not often come by people who are willing to accept cheaper prices for their items. But on the occasion that you find someone who will sell ranarrs for 7k ea instead of the normal 8k ea, they will likely only sell you between 10 and 200 herbs.. which is a very small amount (compared to buying 1k - 50k at a time from the merchants who sell for 8k - 9k ea). ----- In short, if you want to break even with herblore, expect to spend several weeks/months on the skill.

Mod increase request
You have to give us some credit. Sometimes problematic threads are dealt with while there are still zero views on the thread. Other times, it takes a little longer. No matter how many moderators we have, there is no way that we can guarantee that everything will be dealt with instantly. As for your topic in Help & Advice, I have seen it myself (as I like to think that I am an active reader/poster in Help & Advice). Topics normally aren't "stickified" on request (otherwise we'd have hundreds). Threads are made into stickies when the moderator/administrative team feels that it is necessary and will greatly benefit our users. But at the same time, we like to narrow the stickies down to only the essentials (otherwise we'd have tens of stickies in every forum :wall: ). And as Albosky said, many moderators (just like regular users) like to keep their status set to "hidden" at times. There are some days when I'm easily on Tip.it for 12+ hours. But there are other days (like today), where I spend the day hanging out with friends, so therefore my activity decreases. Like I said before, no matter how many moderators we have, it's impossible to guarantee that everything will be dealt with instantly. In addition, we moderators don't have a built-in spam radar. Most people forget that and leave problematic threads just sitting there (and even worse - reply to them), instead of reporting them so we can deal with it. For future reference - do not reply to problematic threads. Some people seem to think that it's entertaining to spam them, but it really doesn't do anybody any good. All it does is keep the thread on the front page, for everyone to look at, giving the thread author even more publicity for his scam. But if nobody replied, it would soon fall to page two, away from users' eyes, until a moderator handles it. So instead of replying, report it and move on. That goes for any post or thread that breaks the rules. And unfortunately, we cannot just snap our fingers and have 10 new moderators, scattered throughout the different timezones :( We are always looking for new moderators, but it's not that simple, as Albosky so accurately pointed out.

Rate My N00B PKER
Locking this as it's just turning into a nested quote spam attack. I would recommend posting screenshots of your stats, armour, bank, whatever. Or if you want help on planning your PKer (or opinions on your current stats), you could hop over to Graveyard Help & Advice.

Help Abyss, PKd again.
It's WAY faster to use fairy rings to craft nature runes than to do this. I find the abyss to be much faster (and it's nice because you can easily fix your pouches instead of constantly switching back and forth between Abyss and Fairy Rings, which I find to be a hassle). May I ask what your combat level is? Most of the RC PKers (at least the ones that I've seen) are between level 90 and 103. If you're in that combat range, I would highly suggest getting out of it, as RCing will always be difficult for you. I'm level 106 and I get by just fine, because there aren't too many PKers around that range. Personally, I just jump over the ditch and go for it - full on run. However, I do bring a good means of protecting myself - a sara brew (4). It is extremely helpful and lasts long enough until the entangle/snare/whatever spell wears off. The best part is that it will heal you past your maximum hitpoints (so you can have 95/82 hit points, for example). Once you're teleblocked and entangled, drink your first dose of sara brew immediately. Normally, that's when they rush over to DDS you, so you'll be prepared. Keep drinking the brew when you get low on hitpoints. Whenever you have enough hitpoints to stop drinking, try teleporting with the Zammy Mage. Normally, I find that the entangle spell wears off just as I finish drinking the last dose. It's saved my life countless times and I have never died while having one in my inventory.
