  1. This isn't appropriate for BlogScape. Of all places, post it in the sticky regarding the rule change: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=594558
  2. Maybe i didn't say what I would use the burn tool for... I just ment if the whole image was too light... you could easily use it to darken the whole thing... making some darker then others and such I still wouldn't use it :? You have very little control over how you use the burn tool, especially if you're using it in mass amounts. If you wanted to darken the whole thing, you best bet would probably be to use the Darkness/Contrast feature :-k
  3. I think the problem with the look of her being "plasticy" (as a few others pointed out) is that it looks like you've used the smudge tool a lot (forgive me if you haven't, but that's what it looks like :ohnoes: ). Personally, I try my best to stay away from it. The Photoshop smudge tool generally isn't that good. Instead, I just stick to changing the flow percentage, which I find to be much better. Instead of just smudging the image, which will make it look plasticy and overall.. just fake, try lowering the opacity/flow of the brush, which will help different colours/shades blend well together. Also, it keeps the image a lot cleaner, and in some senses, more defined. There are many parts of your picture that are pretty messy, which I think is because of the smudge tool. In example, much of the shading on the face. Also, as someone pointed out earlier, try to stay inside the lines! I understand that you might be cleaning it up at the end, which many people do, but I just thought I'd remind you just in case  Fill in some of the many white spots in her hair and clean up the areas where two different things meet (i.e. where her legs meet with the bottom of her skirt). Nazgul mentioned earlier to use the burn tool.. I would actually advise you to stay away from it :ohnoes: Yes, it can be an easy solution, but I wouldn't recommend using it for anything other than touching up photos. Just using a darker brush shade makes you have a lot more control over how you want the picture to look! I think the lineart looks great. The only thing you might want to consider changing is her waist/stomach. She looks mighty skinny to me! Hope some of that helped! :ohnoes: EDIT: Oh, and maybe add some more shading to her hair. The shading with the thin strands of hair looks great, but maybe some darker colour overlays in certain spots (i.e. the hair that falls behind her back). Just a thought.
  4. I've moved this to General Help & Advice :) All questions belong here.
  5. I've seen a lot of spammy pictures in Off-Topic. I think that if we were to make a restriction like this, we should take a different approach. Such as, maybe disallow people to post just a picture (unless of course it's like a level-up picture or somesthing). The kinds of pictures I'm referring to is this seemingly never-ending joke with those weird owl pictures and the like. Or, especially in the Off-Topic forums, people will post a picture that they think is funny that barely relates to the topic in question. But since they don't provide a description, many people don't draw the connection between the picture and the topic, and therefore think of it as pure spam. All and all, it really just bugs me when people a post a "funny" picture with no other comment :-k
  6. Poddy is right, this is probably better suited in Rate This/Goals & Achievements. Feel free to repost it there if you wish.
  7. If I were you, I wouldn't settle with a cheap one. It doesn't have to be incredibly expensive, but the cheap ones are never that good. I would recommend using Jak722's advise and get a Wacom Graphire 8" by 11". Yes, it's a bit more expensive, but so worth it

I love these kinds of sigs (no idea why I put "skills" the first time  ) you make :-w ..With the dominating white background and then something of contrasting colour in the center. I love the way the text is arranged on this one, great job! I don't really like the one with the border :? The black looks strange to me.
  9. I really like the way it's put together, it looks nice :) I also like how the border on the signature matches the border of the individual stats! And that 888 skill total pleases my OCD :-w
  10. lol, good luck! And Tripsis when you had your blog you only had like 150 or so posts, now you have over 600  I don't know, Scrappy, I'll have to think about it : Ap - I know, isn't it crazy  Quit Runescape and become a Tip.it addict! -Stops getting off-topic- :ohnoes: Congratulations on 76!!! \ And um, happy New Year!!!!!!!
  11. [i think] what Dragontotem is trying to say, is that it would be more convenient if it also appeared in the user's profile
  12. An interesting idea, I like it : You could always use the "Find all posts by _______" link to see what they posted and where, but what you are suggesting would be a nice addition.
  13. I've moved this to BlogScape :) From now on, all blogs belong here! Thanks :)
  14. Moved this to Tip.Iter Events. If you look here, you'll see that the 5 day notice rule was lifted a while ago.
  15. Well, I cleaned up some of the very rude posts on this blog, lets keep it nice kiddies :shame: Oh, and good luck!!!
  16. I think it's a good idea, certainly one that has been discussed a bit.
  17. An interesting idea, but I don't think it's quite necessary. A few of the previous posters explained a few problematic situations that could occur. There's almost always at least one moderator on at a time. Simply change your title to something like, "Lock Please" and/or report your own post, stating you'd like it to be locked and one of us will take care of it for you
  18. Copy catter! :-w Lol good luck, Scrappy!!! :D Get 99 prayer before me and I'll give you a cookie!
  19. I've moved this to General Help & Advice so you can get some tips on what to do when you get membership :) I think it's better suited here! And (pre)congrats on getting members~! \ I say you spend your first couple days exploring - because those are the best! Check out the new towns, quests, and of course, skills! Then try out each skill to find out which one you enjoy most :) And as Wakka said, agility is very useful - especially if you end up going back to F2P! EDIT: Oh! And complete Family Crest, get some cooking gauntlets and finish off that 99 cooking with sharkies!! \

  22. Yes and no. When I first started a couple years ago, everything was so much more exciting. I was learning new things about the game every day, exploring new places, meeting new people, trying out new things.. But now, everything gets kind of old (which is why I'm on my second official break :-w ). Sure it's cool to have a couple 99s, more gp, more "things," and know just about everything about the game.. But it gets old after a while.
  23. I have moved this to the General Help & Advice board. Please post all questions here in the future :)
  24. There is no need to bump your thread every five minutes. Generally, the Help & Advice board moves pretty slowly. Just be patient.
