  1. No, just because I don't find it necessary to. I really don't want or need any of the options you mentioned :P
  2. The concept is awesome, and the way you presented it turned out nicely :) The colours in both the city and forest images are great. The only things that I don't really like are: - The city image isn't great quality, which is disappointing, but not always in your control - I don't like the text very much :? I think the fonts are just a bit too plain, maybe play around with them a bit more. All and all, nice job :)

I'm happy to help :) To split up the actual frames, I used a default program that is pre-installed on all Apple computers - "Preview" (don't know if PCs have it or not, I rarely use them). It is a program that is used for viewing images. When you open an animated image, you have the option to view all of the frames, each as a separate image. So I copy and pasted each frame onto Photoshop CS2 in different layers. I then used the animation feature to reanimate it (after taking out a few).
  4. You kow what, I thought that water was the best thing for you, and that you can drink lots of it. But yeh, Rule Of Thumb What you said is true.. Water is still one of the best (or the best, I don't really know), and you can and should drink a lot. But as ShadowFaxPZ stated, you can drink too much. But it's still good to drink a nice, healthy amount.

While it is a nice idea, most of those categories already belong in specific forums. The Off-Topic forum is specifically for any discussions (which could be based around news/articles) or help/advice that hasn't already been designated to a certain forum. The General and General P2P forum are for Runescape-related discussions. The Forum Games forum is for games and jokes. The Music/Movies forum is for discussing music and movies. And the Varrock Library is for posting literary works (raps/songs should be included there). If we kept this post up and running, there would be nothing to put in the actual forums.. It would all be jammed into one huge thread. If you have a problem with this lock, feel free to contact me or an administrator through PM.
  6. Last year we dissected a fetal pig as well. I was pretty disgusted at the whole concept of cutting up a dead animal (or fetus...). But the main thing that bothered me was the smell  Also, a few years ago, we dissected a cow's eye. That was probably actually more interesting than disgusting. Just because I find eyes to be fascinating :P

Okay.. I took out 6 frames, made it 80 x 80, made it black and white (the coloured version looked awful, but I'll post it anyway), used 6 colours and even tested it for you :P Don't know if you'll still want to use it, since the quality is terrible.. But here it is:
  8. Aww, that's too bad :( Flow is great. In that case, I would recommend one of the following options: - Keep it simple. Use bold colours to determine shadows and highlights, but don't try to smudge them. - Use a lot of different shades. For example, if you're going to deal with the colour green (for leaves), start out by picking about three midtone colours. One main colour, of course, then one very slightly darker shade, and one very slightly lighter shade. Use the lighter and darker shades to set down the most basic shadows and highlights. Then pick 3 more colours for shadows (slightly darker each time), to lay down the more extreme shadows, slowly building up. If you come across a colour that gets suddenly too dark, have that colour selected, lower the opacity to 10% - 50% and blend the two colours together this way. Then do the same for opacity. You can see the different effects of opacity and flow (even though you can't use flow :() here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/28259349/ It's a great source :)

Ewww, 23 frames :P I've got them all separated, if I have time later I'll fix it for you.
  10. I would actually strongly advise against using the smudge tool - it's terrible! :ohnoes: There are other, much better ways to blend in Photoshop. Pick 3-7 shades of each colour (highlights, midtones, shadows). Once you have the basic colours set down, you can use the opacity and flow features to blend them together. To blend a dark colour with a lighter colour, simply select the dark colour, lower the opacity to somewhere between 10% and 50%, and the flow to about 25% and paint between the two colours. It takes a lot of practice, but it looks much cleaner and more realistic :) A little personal example of mine using the above method: http://img162.imageshack.us/my.php?image=homeforchristmasea0.jpg
  11. I'm delighted to bet he first to welcome you to the Tip.it Forums :D I moved this to General Help & Advice, because this is where all questions should be posted :) I would recommend that you spend the next few minutes simply browsing around the forums, to get a feel for the place. I would especially recommend that you be sure to read many of the stickies we have posted, many of them are helpful guides :) For starters, you could read our How-To Guide: Taking Screenshots and Posting Images As for avatar and signature-related questions, you should pop by The Gallery forum, and perhaps check out the Ask Your Questions Here! sticky. And most importantly, be sure to read up on our Tip.it Forum Rules  I hope you enjoy your stay! ~Tripsis
  12. As icecube said, please use the Offer or Request house services here! [updated System] sticky to request the use of a gilded altar.
  13. Locked~Please read the following sticky, to see if your items are listed. If they are not, then you can post your question there: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=3554686

I like it :) It is very simple, so there's not a lot to comment on, which might be why you're not incredibly pleased with it. But I think the simplicity fits the image. I really love the designs and such behind the image. I've always loved your text, btw. Where you put it, the font, colours, everything.

Memorizing comes easy to me.. Anything, really - whether intentional or not. Numbers, words, scenes (replaying them in my mind), etc. I usually study for all my tests (particularly vocab) between periods, and always do well.
  17. Not quite sure what this is about... But it says closed so I'm locking it :P
  18. Locking this for a few reasons: 1. Please do not make two identical threads in separate forums. It is unnecessary. 2. Since the video cannot yet be viewed, there's no sense in posting. 3. Unless this promotes a decent discussion, please post the link to your video in the sticky in Off-Topic titled Trivial youtube/google video links to be posted here when the video can be viewed
  19. Yet another amazing piece of art by the famous Metroid =D> :-w I really love this one! I feel like the whole image just flows really well. My favourite part is definitely the water, it's truly amazing. The colours, lighting and texture is perfect. I skimmed through a few of the other comments (the mountains looking too sandy [not sure if this was before or after version two was "released"], the transition between earth and space is too drastic, etc.) and while they do make sense, I actually like it the way it is. The "space" section of the image might be too close to the mountains, but I think it gives it a very fantasy-like aspect to the picture, which is good since that's what the image is.. fantasy :P It's not supposed to be real. And I think the mountains look great. They sort of remind me of a few places I went to in Egypt (obviously the topography is a bit different in this case).. A rocky, sandy terrain, slowly becoming more lush and green as it meets the water. Overall, I really just love how real this picture looks. Great job, once again  =D>
  20. Well I've only had one experience with Terraspace, so I'm not an expert.. But it looks pretty good for your first go :) The only thing I don't really like is the [sun?]. I don't like how it appears to just shine down (if you know what I mean). I think it would be better if the sun shined all around it, and and the lightness of the sun could just gradually fade into the sky... If that makes sense at all :-k I don't really know how to explain it. Also the [thing] in the upper left hand corner (you can probably tell how great I am with astronomy and all that) stands out a bit too much I think. I think it'd look better if it were maybe faded a bit more, to make it look more far away, I guess. Looks pretty cool though :) Nice job
  21. Well I think the main problem with it is that most of the time (when this occurs) people aren't making threads to take a poll of how many people agree/disagree. They're making threads to start a discussion, to see other points of view - facts, figures, etc. By someone saying "+1," they're not contributing anything. I doubt many people care that the particular person agrees, people will just skim right over that post. Because like I said, people want to see why you agree or disagree - not just that you do or don't. Obviously, this isn't true in all cases, just in most (I think :P).
  22. I think you're referring to how it says to divide by 20 in the first post? This thread is about 2 years old.. Before three of the most recent skills were released. So now, you would divide by 23. If the original author wishes to update the first post, s/he may :P 1889 / 23 = 82.13. Not bad :-w
  23. Please do not spam the boards. If you have a reasonable rant, you can post in the Rants forum, maybe in the "How I got Scammed - I'll know better next time" sticky.
  24. It's possible to get a gilded altar at level 69 construction, actually. You can drink the construction tea (have your butler make it for you) and when you drink it, it temporarily gives you 3 additional construction levels. Also, on top of that, you can use the "Crystal Saw," obtainable from a quest. When you use it (a limited number of times before it needs "recharging"), it adds 3 construction levels on to your level... Use the saw and tea together to get 6!
  25. There's no need to bump your thread as long as it is on the front page. As for whether or not they can be flatpacked, I'm not sure off the top of my head, but I don't think so. But there's a way to double check. If you have a workbench in your house, you can use it and it lists all the items that can be flatpacked. If shield easels are not listed, then they cannot be flatpacked. But like I said.. I doubt they can :P
