Dark Beasts aren't bad; they are just decent experience, nothing more, nothing less. As for the drop rate of dark bows, it is low, very low. I'm 9 Dark Beast tasks in a row right now without a dark bow. Their drops are alright, including several alchable rune items that will pay for your prayer pots. I wouldn't suggest camping these though, as without a black mask it will be painful to kill them. I've found they have a very high defense to the point where you can kill them roughly 20% faster using a gs over a whip. The charms are alright; they are the best blue charm dropper in the game, but its not as good as hunting waterfiends. And yes, they are aggressive forever making them easy to afk; just don't let your prayer run out or you will become quick food in your proselyte. Is it worth it? No. Is it worth it if you enjoy training the skill, and would eventually want the cape? Yes.

I've only got 9k points, spent a lot canceling and buying the abilities ot make helm/bolts/rings. And I will spend it all when I get 99 slayer. : Here's my bank before I go and spend a ton of money going to get 96 summoning, should happen in the next week or so. I'm short about 1k crimson.

What do I need for my bank? I buy supplies I need as i need them. It just seems dead, there's like no runes, to teletabs, no potions, nothing. Makes me sad. How you live off so few slots is beyond me, I cant get below 400 slots in my bank.

Wouldn't be fair if you got a good item every time would it? I've done hundreds of clue scrolls with nothing but rune axes and firelighters.

Bought it for kalphite task. Didn't want to spend all the time on killing them. Although a cannon is really useful for some tasks, a whip is useful for all tasks. Selling it for a cannon was a mistake. Using a cannon to train slayer is a huge drain on money and I really wouldn't recommend it if you are looking to make money. If you wanted the Kalphites to go rather quickly, you should have either canceled the task, Burthorped the task, or spent a half hour killing the level 28 Kalphite workers.

Ranging these is a possibility, but it is so slow I would not recommend doing the task. However, at level 88+ summoning, these become an extremely good task. You can manage around 70 kills (usually an entire task) in 1 hour. I wear Verac's Top and Bottom, and pray piety. I found the protect prayers to do nothing significant. I bring 2 pure sets and 16 prayer potions, as well as a pony + scrolls. Their drops are pretty decent netting you some prayer experience for your task. You will also manage to get a ton of crimsons, with numbers that come just short of those of waterfiends (they drop two charms at a time).
