As far as I know, doing games where I get between 70 and 700 points, The only advantage in doing more damage is getting more exp from the damage. You won't get more commendation points from it, but you will get more exp.

Rogue's Den is located under a ladder behind the bar in Burthorpe. Behind the actual bar, not the building. You can pickpocket rogues for them in deep wilderness, at the north east corner. You can also pickpocket Bandits in the desert south of Shantay's Pass. Credit for all maps to Tip.It

I think you have to use an Asgarnian Ale, beer won't work.

I dont think you need 50 thieving to go down into the rogue's den to buy them, but this is by far the fastest way to get one.
