Logging out while fighting?

Featured Replies

I don't know if I am just glitching alot or what, but this is really annoying me. I am training at Bandits and I log out after like 3 minutes even if I am being attacked. Is this a new update to stop Afk training? I really hope this is just a glitch and they fix it, this is pretty much where I train all my melee stats at. :?

No, it has not always been like this. You were able to leave it there and keep fighting until you died pretty much. Or until a random event did something to you.

So ehm, what you are actually doing here is complaining about Jagex taking measures to stop you from breaking the rules, right? Congratulations, your IQ just dropped 25 points =D>

Afking is breaking the rules, in your first post you complained about not being able to go afk anymore, so you are breaking the rules.

If you are idle for more then 30 seconds it will log you....

Been that while for a while....

Not when there are things constantly attacking you. Does anyone get what I am saying?

Well, you have to click once in 30 seconds.. And if things are attacking you, you still log. :|

No it's not a glitch, no it's not a hidden updatizzle.

What exactly is AFK? And how is it against the rules?

Yes I get what you mean. You don't have to click on anything if you're getting attacked until either the enemies bunch up and can't hit you (stupid Flesh Crawlers..) or you've been in the area for too long and the 'Red Mist' in the enemies eye's wears off and they relalise that after sacraficing 100's of their kind to try and kill you.. it's not working. *went off track a bit..*

Just try moving a few clicks away from the enemies and then go back into the area. :x << constapated.

AFK is short for Away From Keyboard, its basically finding a good spot to train and leaving your character to do it.

Jagex don't like people doing because it requires virtually no effort. So they make things like auto-log and randoms to help prevent it.

Well if this is true then it has been implemented recently because I used to be able to leave my character at the bandits with the zamorak cape on in guthans for up to 15 hours if I wanted to. I'm not saying that I did but I'm saying that I could have. I could snap on a ring of life and not have to worry about randoms or anything.

i was pking the other day and my internet went out and as soon as it did it auto logged me from my fight \'

Yes, he knows what I am talking about. As long as you had anything of Saradomin or Zamorak, as soon as they respawned they attacked you, even after 15 minutes. Now they still attack you forever but you log out after 3 minutes automatically, even while in combat.

If your at bandits wear some type of god armor or something like a zammy cape and you wont log

You need to post this in the huge discussion in General about someone finding a way to do what SS does in a legal browser (IE, Firefox, ect). There's some guy in there who keeps trying to argue that it's still against the rules...

don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?

Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007

First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat

You have to click the screen, it's been like that for ages now.

It seems almost everyone here lacks the patience/intelligence involved to read a topic the whole way through... which is not very much.

I was just at Flesh Crawlers, played only by listening to in-game sound (while browsing forums) (didn't really move mouse, or click on the RS screen) and I was def. there more than 30 sec. They still attacked.

Jagex have really gone over the top with the timeouts, you can get logged out while firing a full load of pottery, maybe also potentially on a full load of single ore smelting (iron, silver, gold) as well.

Thing is, if you want to cheat, jamming an arrow key to rotate the screen constantly is said to work.

PS. Nothing wrong with training on auto-aggressive monsters, if you have even one molecule of attention on them. Until Jagex nerfed the fishing spots, you could also fish with minimal attention, now you stop, or the spot shifts, after only a couple of fish.

Jagex have said, browsing forums while training is acceptable, then they go and nerf everything so badly that ONLY the autos can train unimpeded!
