  1. Wall-e. I must say, it was a good movie; it made me laugh, even though I'm 18. o.O

That is a totally bias website, despite its name, its whole purpose is to support theism. I don't even want to begin to disprove it. This is what I don't get, no offence Pio, I'm just using you as an example. Why does it matter? I understand that bias websites are bias and usually shade their evidence, but what about when you post sites that 'prove' evolution and 'disprove' creationism? Aren't those bias in the same way? First off, the context in which he posted the link implied that it should please both sides of the debate, with him saying "[/thread]". Secondly, the context in which I post sites is to support my argument. Also I'd hardly consider scientific theories bias, whether your a theist or not, you gotta consider the validity of quantum physics and the like. Oh, well I never clicked on the link. But, what I mean is, that usually when someone posts a site like TalkOrigins and the like, the site itself IS bias against Religion.

  6. Yea, omg, no offence to any UK people. BUt I can't stand it when I see 'armour,' 'labour,' and 'daemon.' Cause I'm so used to see it differently.
  7. Brand recognition. All I want for Christmas is money for RuneScape (and beer!) \ Not always, the one reason I love my iPod, isbecause Itunes has such a massive selection. It's so much easier to use, and has more music than any other thing I could find. Also, [hide=Epicness][/hide] The screen it uses is so clear when you watch a video, it's absolutely amazing. Also, because Apple IS a brand name, there's so many millions of gadgets out there, while a Zune is cheaper, and has an unimaginably huge amount of memory, I could never find gadgets for it, like my ihome 4, so I got the iPod. [hide=Ihome][/hide] This iHome is a godsend. It's amazingly user friendly. And I just got way off topic.
  8. When I was 8 (I think), I had a dream where a dinosaur (probably a Jurassic Park animatronic thing) ate my little sister. I kept getting it as a reoccuring dream too. The strange part was I don't have a little sister, but I can just barely picture her from the dream. Weird. SHE WANTS TO BE BORN. (I hate that [developmentally delayed]ed movie "The Unborn") I used to have a dream every sunday night for 6 years, where my mom sent me to get the mail, as did all the moms, and then they laughed as this clown: [hide=Clown][/hide] Rode down the street with a tricycle covered in pentagrams (what's wierd is because I didn't know what pentagrams were back then.) sliced all of our heads off. Then the moms went inside. And the birds ate our corpses. For those sunday nights, I hated going to bed because of it. Nowadays I get that dream occassionally and it's funny how I ever considered it a nightmare.
  9. The Rememberance Ballad - Atreyu. (Yes, I listen to more than Atreyu, I just happen to be listening to them when I'm on the comp. XD. [hide=Lyrics]These days are closing in. The end has become apparent. Were only here for so long. Will anyone remember my name? When time has washed away The dustof my ashes? When my head rests in a velvet lined casket. Whats out there? What is my eternal fate? It only just recently hit me, That this lifeis just a state. Mortality fading, Like the innocence of love, Im scared to death, Of whats to become. Of my immortal soul, Of this eternal flame, will you remember? Will your heart sing with pain? Who calls out my name? (my name) Who can tell me what happens, When my eyes close for the last time?(my eyes close) Does it all simply end, in a blanket of darkness? (does it all) What of my soul, what of my soul? All those things you couldnt say, you should have said. All those I love yous lost, Weigh more like lead on your chest. All those things you couldnt say, you should have said. All those I love yous lost, Weigh more like lead on your chest. Of my immortal soul Of this eternal flame, will you remember? Will your heart sing with pain? Who calls out my name? (my name) Who can tell me what happens, When my eyes close for the last time? (my eyes close) Does it all simply end, (does it all) in a blanket of darkness? What of my soul, what of my soul? If I could take back all those misspent days, Every second of anger, I would wash my sins away. Who calls out my name? (my name) Who can tell me what happens, When my eyes close for the last time? (my eyes close) Does it all simply end, (does it end) in a blanket of darkness? What of my soul, what of my soul? Who calls out my name? (my name) Who can tell me what happens, When my eyes close for the last time? (my eyes close) Does it all simply end, (does it all) in a blanket of darkness? What of my soul, what of my soul?[/hide]

Haha, I love this diss. It insinuates that the user of said diss believes that there must be some kind of divide between time spent on the computer and time not, when in reality this is not the case for healthy people who do not delve into internet escapism. Generally this comes unwarrented, usually in cases where strong animosity is present rather than any kind of justification for admitting that said disser believes they are "escaping RL" by being on the computer. It's like dissing oneself almost. I didn't say that; don't insinuate from what was never there. What I mean is, that, when you get out into the real world, you'll be forced to work with people with different beliefs then you. o.o omg. And guess what, you can't diss them! For all you know, your next boss, may be a die hard fundamentalist Christian, and you know what, if you want to keep that job, you have to realize, that people CAN believe differently from you, and that does not make them irrational babbling idiots. And Kill_Thomas, while yes, it can mean this, it also may not. ;) It may mean exactly what it says.

I've always been curious about this bit... [1]In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. [2]Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. [3] And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. [4] God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. [5] God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morningthe first day. Is there a break between verse 1 and 2, or 2 and 3? If there is, Genesis gives God credit for Creation, but does not begin the Seven Days of Creation until the creation of Light, meaning that the base form of the Earth COULD have occurred an insanely long time ago and remained as a lump of rock since. This doesn't solve the starlight problem, or the fact that dinosaur bones are hypothetically buried in rock that would long predate a 6-10K year timeline; in fact it doesn't help at all, and is pretty irrelevant. I've just been thinking over it for awhile. If "technology" to you is Aristotle and Co. pointing out that the shadow cast by the earth during an eclipse was spherical, and then Aristarchus and Eratosthenes gallivanting across 500 miles of desert to compare the angle of shadows in Syene and Alexandria on the Summer Solstice in order to calculate the circumference of the earth, then yes. But from my point of view all technology does is help us test or better analyze what we can first reason to be true. It's a tool, not a magic bullet that gives 100% answers 100% of the time. I'll always subject technology to reason, because that's the only way its useful. When someone says "it was once common sense that the Earth was flat" in an effort to refute the reasonableness (or lack thereof) of Creationism, think about it. A hundred years from now I'm sure many things we consider to be "common knowledge" will be refuted, and then Creationists then might be using that same argument against the acceptance of Evolutionary theory. \ No, about the Genesis; what I think it's saying is: He created it, but it was shapeless, there's no break, it was just describing it before God made it. What I find funny is, people swear by the sword that all those Greek Philospohers were the 'best.' Yet they were around the same time as the Bible, how can one be true and one not? And Reb, have fun when you meet Real Life. EDIT: What's Godel's Theorem?

First off, yea I know the last sentence is butchered, but I couldn't figure out how to say it. XD Also, those pueda shouldn't be puedo, becuase it's subjunctive. And it's estoy, because I AM studying spanish now, but in the future (subjunctive:) I wish that I could speak in.... I AM in Ap spanish, estaba is imperfecto, which is I was, a long time ago, (or recently for numerous times but not anymore) but stopped. Which isn't true,

When people have explained why believing what you do is retarded in every way imaginable, over and over again for dozens of pages, being redundant becomes less fun. You stopped listening to reason long ago mate, so I thought I'd try a different approach. A more fun one. Here's a simple checklist for you to follow. Bear with me, I made it short just for you.1) Type in "dictionary.com" 2) Hit enter 3) Search the term "allegory" by typing it in the box next to the word "search" 4) Hit enter 5) Read page 6) Post First off, nice censor evasion. Second, the whole point of debates usally, (note, not always) is to discover new ways of thinking, while yes, the utlimate goal is too defeat someone's points, it's also a learning experience. Now, I won't patronize you like you so eloquently did to me, but I'm quite aware of what an allegory is. And you know what? Evolution may in fact be correct, but until I see evidence that changes my mind; I will believe differently. And you know what, why get angry? I get angry over your attitude, not your beliefs. In fact, I'm all for Atheists, and Muslims, and Buddhists, and Taoists, I wouldn't practice their religions, but God gave them freedome of choice. YOU however, can't seem to stand Christians. And you call me the intolerant one? Funny. And if all else fails, then sit back and laugh at me, I don't care. Just don't treat me like a five year old, like you do with everyone and anyone who disagrees with you. Also, to Shinjula? I think it was who asked what Christianity has inspired me to do - Well, I thought of one thing: It has inspired me to learn, and want to move forward in life, I want to become a Theologian or Historian, because the Bible, while boring when read (sorry, I really think it it) has awesome material, and a mystery I want to uncover.

I think he meant that those topics are only discussed along religion, while real scientists might be more busy with other problems. Anyway, it seems to me that you might be lost with religion. At the end, it wouldn't matter if you believe in Evolution or Gravity, but how you acted throughout your life, right? Religion is more about morals and ethic than prophets stopping the sun or splitting the seas. Jesus himself used plenty of parables as lessons to his followers, so why not assume the Bible is but a large parable trying to give you a moral, and not a historical lesson? Accepting Evolution won't undermine Christianity as much as you fear. I just get angry, when Reb posts his sardonic posts with one liners like "well you're a moron if you think the Earth was created in less than 20k years." Yea well, post something at least. And no Meol, I guess when it really all boils down to it, it doesn't matter if you believer in Evolution, but if you have Jesus in your heart. But that begs the question, how can you completely ignore Genesis?
