Congress has started debateing Concurrent Resolution 40. So here is a chanch to get rid of NAFTA... [hide]Congress debate begins on North America Union Resolution calls for end of NAFTA superhighway, abandonment of integration with Canada, Mexico. A House resolution urging President Bush "not to go forward with the North American Union or the NAFTA Superhighway system" is ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ according to its sponsor Rep. Virgil Goode, R-Va., in an exclusive WND interview ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ "also a message to both the executive branch and the legislative branch." As WND previously reported, on Jan. 22 Goode introduced H.C.R. 40, titled "Expressing the sense of Congress that the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union with Mexico and Canada." The bill has been referred to the House Subcommittee on Highways and Transit of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. WND asked Goode if the president was risking electoral success for the Republican Party in 2008 with his insistence on pushing for North American integration via the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, or SPP. "Yes," Goode answered. "You won't hear the leadership in the Republic Party admit it, but there are many in the House and Senate who know that illegal immigration has to be stopped and legal immigration has to be reduced. We are giving away the country so a few very rich people can get richer." How did he react when President Bush referred to those who suggest the SPP could turn into the North American Union as "conspiracy theorists"? "The president is really engaging in a play on words," Goode responded. "The secretary of transportation came before our subcommittee," he explained, "and I had the opportunity to ask her some questions about the NAFTA Superhighway. Of course, she answered, 'There's no NAFTA Superhighway.' But then Mary Peters proceeded to discuss the road system that would come up from Mexico and go through the United States up into Canada." Goode is a member of the Subcommittee on Transportation, Treasury, Housing and Urban Development of the House Committee on Appropriations. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/artic ... America's ecnomey is collapsing. It has a lot to do with nations droping the dollar for the Eruo. In other word's, they are droping the dollar to pay for oil in Eruo's. Another part of it is that the Federal Reserve is also working to destoy the dollar. It wont be long befor the Fed annouce that the Amero is ready to replace the Dollar. [hide]Ron Paul has slammed Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke for deliberately depreciating the value of the dollar to artificially bail out Wall Street while poor and middle class people lose their homes and have their living standards lowered. During a Banking Committee hearing on Capitol Hill today, the Texas Congressman confronted Bernanke and accused the Fed of trying to solve the problem of inflation with more inflation by creating artificially low interest rates that have no effect because of the dollar's weakness Paul questioned how it could ever be morally justifiable to deliberately depreciate the dollar and pointed out the fact that the dollar collapse was a deliberate policy on behalf of the Fed http://prisonplanet.com/articles/septem ... ltdown.htm [/hide] [hide]Fears of dollar collapse as Saudis take fright. Saudi Arabia has refused to cut interest rates in lockstep with the US Federal Reserve for the first time, signalling that the oil-rich Gulf kingdom is preparing to break the dollar currency peg in a move that risks setting off a stampede out of the dollar across the Middle East. "This is a very dangerous situation for the dollar," said Hans Redeker, currency chief at BNP Paribas. "Saudi Arabia has $800bn (̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã400bn) in their future generation fund, and the entire region has $3,500bn under management. They face an inflationary threat and do not want to import an interest rate policy set for the recessionary conditions in the United States," he said. The Saudi central bank said today that it would take "appropriate measures" to halt huge capital inflows into the country, but analysts say this policy is unsustainable and will inevitably lead to the collapse of the dollar peg. As a close ally of the US, Riyadh has so far tried to stick to the peg, but the link is now destabilising its own economy. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.j ... audi119.xm l&CMP=ILC-mostviewedbox [/hide] [hide]some videos on the the Federal Reserve. Just another example of how America's school's are turning into Mini-prisons. Many school's have all ready done this. We shall band together, and with our Meese and Beavers, we shall keep Canada as our own! Saskatchewan government decided that it would not join the Trade Investment and Labour Mobility Agreement (TILMA) with BC and Alberta. What is TILMA? the Trade Investment and Labour Mobility Agreement would enable a Canadian company to challenge laws in provinces that block the North American Free Trade Agreement, NAFTA. TILMA was signed by the premiers of Alberta and BC, without public consultation or legislative debate, in April 2006. The agreement allows corporations and individuals to sue provincial governments for any provincial or municipal government measure they feel "restricts or impairs" their investment. Under TILMA, even measures designed to protect the environment and public health are vulnerable to attack from corporate lawsuits with compensation penalties as high as $5 million. Saskatchewan rejected it, stating that ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅOnce elected officials get the chance to read through TILMA, they realize that it is more like a corporate bill of rights than an agreement to enhance trade and labour mobility,̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

ok I am going to try to explan this how it has come about. North American Union has is beeing accomplished in incremental steps and through stealth and deception. Legislation purports to have one purpose but buried in the legislation are the enabling programs for the merger. The system of "public-private partnerships" is how the strategies for the merger are planned, funded and implemented. The Congress passes the framework legislation. Lower level government employees who fly under the radar of public view work with corporations, Foundations and special interest groups (front groups funded by corporations, Foundations and government). These groups are called 'Working Groups'. They exist for many purposes but one of the functions of the Working Groups are to harmonize our legal system with Canada and Mexico to produce an international set of regulations which in turn are harmonized with the European Union - both of which fall under the domain of the United Nations. The strategy of disempowering our elected, representative government structures is to provide funding and the legal framework for parallel quasi-governmental (public-private partners) groups that usurp power from existing governments. The first such integration of private interests into government functions The first such integration of private interests into government functions that the requirement for cities to form a Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) comprised of public and private interests to plan regional transportation needs. The MPO pulls power away from each of the local governments in the affected area. The effect is to replace elected representative government with an unelected, unseen body of private interests having the force of law to implement their private agenda on the public. This is the communist system of 'governance' and it is the means by which the North American Union is being created surreptitiously. Getting back to the Security and Prosperity Partnership, it is just the latest incremental step in dissolving the United States as an independent sovereign nation. The following is a brief overview of the steps to the North American Union. It should be obvious how the stated objective for public consumption is a misdirection for the public to hide the real agenda of merger 1983 La Paz Agreement - created an international border region with Mexico. It called for Working Groups comprised of U.S. and Mexican officials with 'private partners' to work on environmental issues around the border. The Environmental Protection Agency was put in charge on the U.S. side - along with its Mexican counterpart. 1990 Enterprise for the Americas Initiative - to establish the financial framework for the economic integration. 1994 - NAFTA Agreement. The NAFTA Agreement is an annex to the La Paz Agreement. Carla Hills was the USTR under the administration of George H.W. Bush. She is the one who negotiated the NAFTA agreement that was ultimately passed and signed by Clinton. On 3/27/2007, the House Foreign Affairs subcommittee on Terrorism, Nonproliferation and Trade held a hearing titled, "Trade, Foreign Policy and the American Worker" in which Carla Hills testified. She stated that the goal of NAFTA was economic integration. Obviously, you can't have economic integration without harmonization of laws - and international governing supra-structures with authority over the integrated (merged) areas of the economy Summits The Summit Process began in 1994 with the first summit being held in Miami. It should be noted that the summits are a formal meeting of leaders who decide on the next steps (as defined by the Working Groups who are actually doing the work of harmonization and integration). Each Summit includes a Declaration and a Plan of Action and each summit takes us farther away from a sovereign, independent nation under a Constitutional U.S. government. The intent of these incremental steps was to create the Free Trade Area of the Americas (North American Union) by 2005. They didn't quite make that date - but that hasn't stopped them. They are proceeding without the knowledge or consent of the American people - and it would appear until recently - a lack of understanding by many members of Congress. 2001 - Partnership for Prosperity was announced. The 'private partner' - Council of the Americas (David Rockefeller's treason club) produced a blueprint report giving a lot of information about the agenda. 2005 - Security and Prosperity Partnership - next step towards the North American Union 2007, happing right now in Montebello, Canada. the Security and Prosperity Protocol (SPP) of North America, is being ratified. Meaning that the US, Mexico and Canada will become part of the North American Union by 2010, and resources, agricultural, health and environment issues, to name a few, will be controlled not by the 3 Three Amigo's countries of the US, Canada and Mexico, but by the government of the North American Union.

Brown turns his back on the people to embrace a corrupt EU

More news about this.. [hide]Pressure for a referendum on the controversial European constitution grew last night amid growing signs of public concern and fresh claims that voters are being misled.Pressure for a referendum on the controversial European constitution grew last night amid growing signs of public concern and fresh claims that voters are being misled. Almost 50,000 have now signed The Daily Telegraph's petition calling for a referendum on the proposed new settlement. All three main parties originally pledged a referendum on the original EU draft constitution. And yesterday, there were claims that the new document was essentially a revival of the constitutional settlement famously rejected by referendums in France and Holland in 2005. The Open Europe think-tank published research showing the new draft was exactly the same length as the rejected constitution and contained similar threats to British sovereignty. According to the think-tank, which campaigns for a more flexible, open Europe, the original constitutional treaty ran to 63,000 words. When the new proposals, involving a series of amendments to existing treaties, were put together in a consolidated text, the proposals new treaty came to the same length. Open Europe also sought to debunk the Government's argument that the new draft was substantially different from what went before. Neil O'Brien, the Open Europe director, said that although ministers insisted they had now inserted new "red lines" and opt-outs into the revised proposals, those safeguards were in the original constitution. Open Europe also raised concerns that the proposed new arrangements would end Britain's veto in foreign policy in 11 key areas including terrorism and mutual defence. http://prisonplanet.com/articles/august ... 0807EU.htm [/hide] -

The thing about the Batman & Robin the moive is how they made Bane. They really should have just keep Bane out of that movie, and made a differnt one with Batman going up agianst Bane like in the Knightfall story line. One thing I don't like, is how the price's for each issue just seem's to keep going up..

Gordon Brown faced fresh Tory pressure for a referendum on the new EU treaty yesterday after William Hague described it as 'overwhelmingly' similar to the old constitution. The Shadow Foreign Secretary published research showing that only ten out of the 250 proposals contained in the document rejected by French and Dutch voters had changed. He suggested the 'unreadable' treaty had been designed to confuse the public and accused the Prime Minister of trying to push it through on the 'quiet'. Mr Hague warned that once MPs return from Parliament's summer recess they will have only nine working days to debate the treaty before it is signed off by Mr Brown in October. His party boosted its campaign for a referendum by publishing a pamphlet entitled The EU Treaty in Plain English. Mr Hague accused Labour of handing sovereignty to Brussels as the treaty creates a powerful EU president and foreign minister. He said Britain is losing vetoes in some 60 policy areas including transport, energy and migration and warned that new powers are being handed to the European Commission, Court of Justice and Parliament. Mr Hague added that a little-noticed 'ratchet clause' in the treaty would allow the EU to abolish vetoes in almost all other areas. Member states would simply have to 'notify' MPs of what was happening. He said: "There has been limited public debate about this issue and it is important for people to have a clear understanding of it. The plan all along has been to keep the substance and change the presentation. "The EU treaty is overwhelmingly the same as the EU constitution. It is in large measure and predominantly the same thing with the same effect. I think in a way Gordon Brown wants to get this out of the way with as little public Attacking the document's complicated language, Mr Hague cited a passage which says: "As far as the content of the amendments to the existing treaties is concerned, the innovations resulting from the 2004 IGC will be integrated into the TEU and the Treaty on the functioning of the Union, as specified in this mandate. "Modifications to these innovations introduced as a result of the consultations held with member states over the past six months are indicated below." Mr Hague explained: "That is really taking everything that was agreed in the European constitution and using it as a starting base for the treaty." In another passage, the treaty says: "Articles 29 to 39 of Title VI of the EU Treaty, which related to judicial cooperation in criminal matters and to police cooperation, shall be replaced by Articles (111-257 to 111-264 and 111-270 to 111-277) of the Treaty on the function of the union." The Tory pamphlet paraphrases this as: "EU judges will now be able to rule on EU agreements over criminal justice and policing." In Labour's 2005 general election manifesto, Tony Blair had promised voters a referendum on the EU constitution that was eventually shelved that year. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/a ... ge_id=1770

ASHEVILLE- Buncombe County's sheriff and district attorney have dropped charges against a couple accused of desecrating the American flag, saying they stood little chance in court. The Sheriff's Office will continue an investigation into the actions of Deputy Brian Scarborough, who issued the charges after a complaint from a fellow National Guardsman, Sheriff Van Duncan said Thursday. Duncan said he "had rather we responded to that call differently" and that Scarborough "probably shouldn't have been there to begin with." The sheriff said he asked District Attorney Ron Moore to drop the charges against Mark and Deborah Kuhn, who also said the deputy assaulted them. The Kuhns had pinned signs to an upside down American flag that included a photo of President Bush with "Out now" written on it. Their case marked only the third time in North Carolina since 1917 that the state's flag desecration statute had been enforced, according to the N.C. Administrative Office of the Courts. U.S. Supreme Court decisions in 1989 and 1990 protected flag desecration as a form of expressive conduct under the First Amendment. The state law also was challenged and ruled unconstitutional in 1971. http://www.citizen-times.com/apps/pbcs. ... 7708030306

Help Block the North American Union by Repealing NAFTA
cryztalwing replied to cryztalwing's topic in Off-Topic
Despite the deafening silence in the US and Canadian media (Have they put ANY reporters on this in the lamestream media? one wonders .. hard to find them!!) the purpose of the upcoming conference to be held in Montebello, Quebec is to ratify the Security and Prosperity Protocol (SPP) of North America, which was initiated by Bush, Martin and Fox in 2005. This so-called ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâpartnership̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ will result in what the politicians refer to as ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâcontinental integration̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢-newspeak for a North American Union- and basically are a harmonization of 100̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s of regulations, policies and laws. What we have here, really, is the plan to highjack the North American continent by a very small contingent of industrialists, government cronies and thinktanks. following the clampdown after the 9/11 synthetic terror event. As the slogan says .. Security and Prosperity for WHOM? Once this ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâpartnership̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ has been ratified as fait accompli; we will be following in the footsteps of the European Union. It will mean that the US, Mexico and Canada will become part of the North American Union by 2010, and resources, agricultural, health and environment issues, to name a few, will be controlled not by the 3 Three Amigo's countries of the US, Canada and Mexico, but by the government of the North American Union. Only there is a BIG difference: you see these two little member countries needs are DWARFED by Superpower the US! It's not the same as the European Union at ALL. Europe wasn't bogged down in an era of genocide and endless war either at the start of the EU .. comparisons are not apt. Mere size of the countries alone would show that this cannot be the same. At this time, we are lead to believe that the "summit" of the elite will be discussing, or making pronouncements, on what is to be done if there is a pandemic or national emergency. What that implies, alone is cause for concern ... What's Up? The coming megolithic ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâNAFTA̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ highway, one quarter of a mile wide, is already being built in Texas, where private land is being expropriated, and will eventually reach the Manitoba border and go on from there ... it allows the west coast shipping ports to be circumvented, instead relying on huge Mexican port, in the name of facilitating "free trade" . but free trade of what ..? Asian drugs ..? And how is that port to be defended? Water (the new gold) will be the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâissue̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ of this century, as more than 25 states in the U.S. are currently in desperate need. Where do you think they will get the water they need? Canada claims 20% of the world's fresh water "reserves"!! and plans to get it out where developed IN SECRET by the Center for Strategic and International Affairs in Washington DC; they very people who brought you the shock and awe technique used in bombing Iraq into submission. Just who is deciding who gets the resources as they dwindle ..? The United States is already guaranteed 60% of Canadian natural gas resources from NAFTA, which mean that even during emergencies when Canadians need energy that cannot have it. This is somewhat perplexing since Canada only has nine (9) years of PROVABLE gas supplies for itself. Canada is asked to import it! in case of shortage ... This is just one example of how Canada is being shortchanged, and it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s only going to get worse. Even people in Harper's own Conservative party are aghast at this, which was only revealed in Parliament by Gordon Laxer - and the committee Chairman walked out in protest of his testimony!! -- a first in Canadian history. So much for government transparency. When will the truth be told? Mexico is so far exempted out of the energy equation; they are in control of the energy part of the 'protocol' and have a state run cartel. As Linda McQuaig author of It's about the Crude, Dude: Greed, Gas, War and the American Way points out, PM Harper's stand on giving away Canada's resources is DEEPLY troubling - He talked about CONTINENTAL energy in London, saying that Canada would be "self serving" to keep this energy for itself. He is paid to protect Canada resources. Any wonder that Canadians are wondering that perhaps their Prime Minister is advocating treason ..? What would happen if the roles were reversed . would American be "self serving" to hang onto ITS resources if Canada had an emergency? Linda's books are worth a deep read: try Holding the Bully's Coat: Canada and the US Empire as well. Canada's elite are rapidly embracing American Values ... This is NAFTA plus Homeland Security and only "the elite" get the advantage. But there is more WAY more than just this. Are are we to find out what is going on? Way too many questions Canada is in charge of the presentations on border equalization while the US holds the hand dealing out cards on trade regulation. Hmmm. People who are "in the know" in Canada are are baffled and asking an obvious question these days: Why has there been absolutely NO public consultation on the biggest issue (North American Union) facing Canadians since Confederation? And where is the US CONgress on this issue? With the single exception of a House vote on a transport issue, everything is quiet. Too quiet ... What has happened to democracy? ... or maybe more accurately .. why have we devolved into demo-craaaazee? Hello! Construction of a 2 km fence with a razor sharp top has already started along the route 148 outside Montebello, Quebec pending the upcoming SPP summit and is due for completion sometime during the week. Plans for a sedate public forum to discuss the SPP and the coming NAU were suddenly cancelled when the US Army, the RCMP and local Quebec police refused to lease a hall outside in Papaneuville to the Council of Candians. Rapidly on the heels of this news, a 25 km security perimeter was announced and a limit was placed to five (5) people per van in the area as per instructions by the US Army, the RCMP and local police. This brought about such a resistance that now those involved are determined to shout BuZh and cronies out of town. This is not going to be easy. Previous attempts to stop globalization have resulted in the use of terrifying weapons, and people in Canada are putting themselves on the line. We need YOUR support. Government claims to be democratic, but in fact, does it act like one, or does iit prefer to make the big decisions at committee level behind closed doors, while masking its real intentions? These are just the tip of the iceberg of many, many troubling questions .. ones to which answers are not forthcoming. What's at stake? The ratification of the SPP, and the emergence of the North American Union have been organized entirely by government committees and private enterprise for THEIR benefits which simply "won't do"! if we are to live through the 21st century. A very new alliance is being formed as opposition gets organized. The flatbed truck will bear banners attacking the North American loss of jobs under NAFTA. The US alone has lost 5000 jobs due to NAFTA, and the NAU will guarantee that more jobs will go SOUTH of the Mexican border. People are pretty fed up with the "taxobabble" that is directed at them as superprofits SOAR. And now we face what has been called "NAFTA on crack" or "NAFTA on steroids". Privatization of our resources, transnationals holding ALL the cards, and Canadian and Mexican governments with less and less authority will be a lasting legacy of DIS integration for all our chldren. We simply must stick together to avoid the inevitable widening of the rich/poor divide, the endless "taxobabble", the breakdown of environmental law, and perhaps to avoid the meltdown of the entire Arctic which is now up for grabs. Some Answers ... Our next steps as progressives I've read that in order to "opt" out of the SPP, states may have to secede. Thirteen states in addition to Idaho are calling on Congress to abandon the SPP: Georgia, Arizona, Missouri, Illinois, Oregon, Montana, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Utah, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington and Virginia. Below are some great resources. They are provided in the hopes that YOU will do a couple of things to support us up here in Canada. One is to learn as much as you can. Another is to write your media and CONgress (or Parliamentarian) and ask why you are being kept in the dark about the upcoming union. And a third suggestion is that you hold a teach-in or just have people come around and chat about what is being hidden. There more youtube videos and articles posted on my blog you can use as resources, too. Hold a youtube party for those you know will be interested in this. Just chat this up with your neighbors, your friends and those you love as this is happening very rapidly. It goes to Congress for presentations and ratification this fall, under the direction of Henry Kissinger. It's now 11:59 on the countdown clock. As so many of the corporations are household names and we use their services and products every day, we must gbe aware the this is so engraned and embedded, that we must fight the SPP from many angles, say McQuaig. Just as THEY, the corporate elite are all complicit in this together, we are all in this together. Our landlord is stealing our HOUSE! Time to kick him OUT. Although America is beset with problems; this is no time to ignore the latest assault on social justice. Truly, help us STOP THE SPP!! http://www.opednews.com/articles/genera ... e_to_l.htm -
Back in the 1970s, the United Nations launched its plan for a global program of taxation. The objective was the transfer of wealth and technology from the developed world to the Third World, under the direction of the UN. A cornerstone of this international wealth transfer scheme was the so-called "Law of the Sea Treaty" (LOST). LOST would give the UN power to tax businesses that wanted to develop the oceans' resources, which has been a long-time dream of the global government enthusiasts. LOST also would establish an international court system to enforce its provisions and rulings. The treaty attempts to conceal the power to levy international taxes by labeling the taxes with such euphemisms as "assessments," "fees," "permits," "payments," or "contributions." Under LOST, an "International Seabed Authority" would control the minerals and other resources of the oceans' seabed. After taking its own cut, this UN body would transfer whatever is left to select Third World governments and non-governmental organizations. Fortunately, when LOST came before President Ronald Reagan in the 1980s, he refused to sign the treaty. It appeared that the push toward global governance was halted, at least temporarily. But that was not the end of LOST. Determined proponents of the treaty worked to "fix" its most objectionable parts, in hopes that the United States would then support it. The UN and its supporters know that, without the participation of the United States, their schemes will not succeed. In the 1990s, LOST supporters sent the treaty to President Bill Clinton, who quickly signed the treaty and sent it to the Senate for ratification. Fortunately, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, then headed by Senator Jesse Helms, concluded that, despite cosmetic changes, LOST remained hopelessly flawed. Taking no action on the treaty, he sent it back to the president in 2000. It appeared that LOST was finally dead. But it wasn't. Undeterred, LOST supporters in the State Department sent the treaty back to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 2003. The Committee voted to send the treaty to the full Senate for ratification in February of 2004. LOST currently sits before the Senate, available at any time for a full Senate vote on ratification. Let us hope that the Senate does the sensible thing and rejects LOST, along with any future UN encroachments on our sovereignty! The new European Union Treaty has been designed to "keep the advances" of the old constitution "that we would not have dared present directly", a senior Brussels figure has admitted. Hans-Gert Poettering, president of the European Parliament and a close ally of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, made the admission in a letter to ValÃÆÃâÃâéry Giscard d'Estaing, the architect of the discarded EU Constitution. Mr Poettering stressed that the new treaty, while complicated, would preserve the constitution by a different, more indirect method. Responding to the claim, Mark Francois, the Conservatives' spokesman on Europe, said: "Hans-Gert Poettering has exposed the cynical fraud Gordon Brown is trying to foist on the British people. "All Mr Brown's talk about trust and consultation will be uncovered as pure spin if he does not keep his promise to give the British people the final say in a referendum." Adding to the criticism of the Government yesterday was a Labour MP who helped draw up the EU constitution, which was rejected by French and Dutch voters two years ago. advertisementGisela Stuart, MP for Birmingham Edgbaston, told the Commons it was "extremely misleading" to suggest that the Treaty gave more power back to member states than the abadoned constitution. She added: "If we are so confident that it is good, we should have the confidence to ask the people." ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Some 25,550 people have now signed up to The Daily Telegraph campaign for the British people to be given a say on the treaty. This includes 15,878 readers who have returned the cut-out coupons. http://prisonplanet.com/articles/july2007/280707EU.htm

I hope that you know that those spiral ones have Mercury in them. And if they break, unlike the normal light builbs, you can take a broom and clean it up. The Mercury will still be there, and you need to A: Never use a vacuum cleaner to clean up mercury. The vacuum will put mercury into the air and increase exposure. The vacuum appliance will be contaminated and have to be disposed of in a hazard waste disposal site.̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

Im not really one for politics but this is ridiculous

we're asking everyone to call all of our "so called" elected representatives in Washington D.C. and insist they challenge Bush's new Executive Order of July 17th. The New Executive Order titled, Blocking Property Of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts In Iraq, IS AN ASSAULT ON THE CONSTITUTION and the end of free speech as we know it in America, and eventually the end of outlets of truth like the We The People Radio Network. When you call the Capitol Hill switchboards ask the operator for the first senator on the list. Voice your opposition to the misuse of the Executive Order of July 17th, 2007, to go around the Constitution and take away our rights of free speech and a free press. Ask the receptionist to return you to the operator and request the next Senator on the list. Be brief and avoid getting into conversations with receptionists after Voicing your opposition. The following are the toll free and local phone numbers for the Capitol Hill switchboard. You can also contact the White House Here. PLEASE, WHEN YOU PHONE ALWAYS BE POLITE AND RESPECTFUL. List of the members of the 110th Congress Here are the members of the 110th Congress. The House and Senate are now under the control of pro-war lobbists and unless thousands of Americans protest the outright misuse of these Executive Orders by the President, the gutting of our Constitution will continue and our country as we know it will be gone! Protest Congress by Calling: 1-202-224-3121 or Toll-free: 1-877-851-6437 or 1-866-340-9281 Tell members of Congress: "Please Confront your Senators and Representatives about the Tyranny of Bush's new Executive Order of July 17th. . Once you have called the first member of Congress, don't hang up. Ask to be transferred to the next member on the list below, and so on. You will have sent a powerful message against freedom-stealing Executive Orders with every member of Congress. http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/rtr.php You can also use to send your own message's to them. http://www.gunowners.org/activism.htm -
Help Block the North American Union by Repealing NAFTA
cryztalwing replied to cryztalwing's topic in Off-Topic
this is good news, thow it does not stop the North American Union. America need's to pull out of NAFTA for that to really happen. In an historic, first vote in Congress to restrict funding for the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) of North America, yesterday the House approved by a vote of 362 to 63 an amendment to H.R. 3074 (Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2008) "prohibiting the use of funds to participate in a working group pursuant to the Security and Prosperity Partnership." There's been a growing buzz this year over the SPP and how it's being used as a steppingstone to a North American Union (NAU). Eighteen state legislatures have introduced resolutions asking Congress to block the NAU; three states passed their anti-NAU resolution in one house; and three states passed their anti-NAU resolution in both houses. Although there is a resolution (H. Con. Res. 40) in the House of Representatives "Expressing the sense of Congress that the United States should not ... enter into a North American Union with Mexico and Canada," there has been virtually no congressional oversight over SPP activities, such as the numerous "working groups" with representatives from the United States, Mexico, and Canada. That is to say, virtually no congressional oversight until yesterday, when the House voted overwhelmingly to approve Rep. Duncan Hunter's (R-Calif.) amendment to prohibit any funds appropriated by the Transportation and Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Act of 2008 from being used for U.S. participation in SPP working groups. In a related development, on July 23, Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.) introduced an amendment to H.R. 3093 (Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2008), stating "None of the funds in this Act shall be made available for the Security and Prosperity Partnership." Thus, this amendment would permit no funding for the SPP from the funds appropriated for the Commerce Department in 2008. This is highly significant because the Commerce Department coordinates the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅProsperity̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
