It was a shame that all these regulation changes were supposed to encourage overtaking, but didn't as much as hoped, but generally melbourne isn't the most overtaking geared track, with alot of chicanes and fast corners. What channel is TEN (is it American?) In the uk it was just on BBC 1, 6am, and repeated at like 2pm like it has been for since before i can remember.

I don't get that argument. super Def pots will raise your defence more than if you are praying with anything below piety, but if you are praying piety veracs skirt alone will be pointless as you'l be losing so much on every task with p pots. Cheaper and better defence wise to use super dfence pots and torags/dh legs.

Nope they have identical stats, same with guthans helm and torags helm, both the max defence barrows. Its the guthan's skirt which brings guthans defence way down, its really incredibly weak.

Why do people say veracs skirt, its absurd. Veracs and torags have identical defences except in range in which veracs has less. Veracs has a slight prayer bonus, BUT, is stupid to use on praying tasks because prosy beats it, and you don't need the defence while praying. So veracs is not what to get, get torags or dharoks legs (identical defence, so whichever is cheapest at the time to buy). As for platebody, whichever out of these three, guthan's, dharok's, torags, is cheapest to buy at the time. And llamster, torso is the thing to use If you already have it or like BA, if you already have it, you would be stupid not to use it at the higher defence levels when you don't need defence as much.

Was a great race, who would have thought a team that didn't fully exist a month ago could win a 1-2? How hardy is their car too, must have been involved in 3 or 4 crashes and survived. Was really dissapointed vettel and kubica crashed together like 5 laps from the end, they were both going so well.

Not to my knowledge, as long as you have access to godwars you should get them assigned. It's all luck, i had 3 mages tasks between 83 and 84, but i know alot who havent had any before 85.

Zaaps, surely by now you know they work on more than one thing at a time right? This peice of dev probably isn't even scheduled for next year or late this year, i'd take a bet they are working on a few of the other quest series as we speak. That could even be the reason for not doing a dev diary on them, they've smarten'd up and learn't not to give away any info on close larger updates due to influxes of massive whining and assumptions.

It is about content in development, The development doesen't start when they transfer ideas onto the systems, it starts with designing aswell, the ideas for all the content in runescape doesen't just magically appear, it's nice to see an insight into how a quest series starts off its design phase.

None of your replies on the last few pages have been even related to the Dev diary, It's just bashing jagex every chance you get, its fine if you dont like them i get it, but you dont have to keep doing bad joke after bad joke trying to get your point across, we get it. Its ok if people dislike the diary, but random flaming jagex without even hinting at the topic is annoying as hell.

Libs, really, i dont get it, you absolutely seem to detest runescape, jagex, and any updates, so why the heck after retiring are you still hanging around here? I don't know about you, but this is the most i've ever looked forward to the new F1 season in my life. I thought i'd make a thread now just a few hours before the first main testing for the Melbourne GP Starts. The reason i'm looking forward to this years season is because there are so many rule changes for the better. Unlike previous years, the rule changes have made the races more confusing and a bit more boring, but this years are going back to basics. For those not in the know, heres the main rule changes for this year (from the F1 website): [hide=]Tyres After 10 seasons on grooved tyres, Formula One racing returns to slicks in 2009, as part of moves to increase the emphasis on mechanical rather than aerodynamic grip. With no grooves, grip will increase by around 20 percent, bringing a significant performance gain. However, that gain will be offset by the vastly reduced downforce levels of the revised aerodynamic regulations (see below). The overall effect should be reduced performance through high-speed corners. Drivers will still have the choice of two dry tyre compounds and will still have to use both compounds during a race. KERS From 2009 teams have the option of employing a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) to boost their cars performance. As its name implies, a KERS recovers the (normally wasted) kinetic energy generated by the cars braking process. This energy is stored using a mechanical flywheel or an electrical battery and then made available to the driver, in set amounts per lap, via a boost button on the steering wheel. Under the current regulations the power gain equates to around 80 horsepower, available for just under seven seconds per lap. This could be worth several tenths of a second in terms of lap time, but the weight and packaging of the system - and its impact on the cars weight distribution - also have to be taken into account. Engines In a move designed to boost reliability still further, rev limits will be cut from 19,000 to 18,000 rpm and drivers must now use the same engine for three, rather than two, consecutive events. Teams will be limited to eight engines per season - eight for each race driver and an additional four for testing. Just one team - Renault - has been allowed to make performance modifications to their engine for 2009 in order to help equalise power outputs. Aerodynamics Along with slick tyres, this is the biggest area of change for 2009. Downforce will be dramatically reduced and the cars bodywork will appear much cleaner, thanks to new dimensional regulations that effectively outlaw extraneous items such as barge boards, winglets, turning vanes and chimneys. As well as reducing overall aero performance, the revisions are also designed to increase overtaking by making the car less susceptible to turbulence when closely following another driver. The most obvious changes are to the front and rear wings. The front wing becomes lower (75mm from 150mm) and wider (up from 1400 to 1800mm - the same width as the car) with driver-adjustable flaps. Drivers will be allowed to make two wing adjustments per lap, altering the wing angle over a six-degree range. The rear wing becomes taller (up 150mm to bring it level with the top of the engine cover) and narrower (750mm from 1000mm). Also at the back of the car, the diffuser has been moved rearwards, its leading edge now level with (rather than ahead of) the rear-wheel axle line. In addition, the diffuser has been made longer and higher, all changes that will reduce its ability to generate downforce. Testing Testing restrictions will be even more stringent, with none allowed for the duration of the race season.[/hide] This should be a great season, it's wide open who will win the races. Your doing nothing wrong don't worry, its just the ratios have always been a bit iffy at TT so it will take you a looooong time to get all the peices.

I'm so confused why people are whining about this, shouldnt it in fact make it MORE respected? It will cost much more and take more time. It will just save your wrists. People saying it will become another cooking skill are massively wrong, if cooking cost you 2-3k per thing you cooked, i highly doubt you would see so many cooks, the way you train it barely effects it, the cost is the biggest factor.

Yup, you don't need to use the ranger gear either. All SC armour gives double exp in mage/range/melee whenever you use them, so you could be in ranged armour, meleeing, get double exp for that, and cast a combat spell and get double for that etc. But yes, cannon classes for double exp.

how did it have an excellent storyline? Like I said before, It didn't answer any questions or tie up any loose ends at all. Sure by itself it would have been fine, but as the end of a storyline? No way! I mean, it's like watching a superhero movie and, instead of the obligatory scene where the bad guy spills his guts about what was going on, the good guy just kills him and goes on about his merry way. Pretty much everybody i know, including me thought it was a great finish. Any omali, you've missed that this isn't going to be a twice per year thing like the past dev diarys, and it also isn't about a massive update like summoning was, they will be much more often and about the smaller updates aswell.

Ugh, people, Dev Diaries are exactly what it is, you all seem to think a Dev diary will be a more in depth BTS, it isn't, what theyve given us here was exactly what they said they would, personal 'blog' type thing from a developer. All the whining here is EXACTLY the reason they stopped the BTS, people overestimate eveything and want the world from every update, if you thought this would be a huge long page with in depth details about the update in the enxt year then you were wrong, they gave us a development diary like they said they would, and there is nothing wrong with it. On the diary, im looking forward to the quest as its by the same guy who did the last goblin quest, which had an excellent storyline, hopefully he can bring the same kind of thing to the dwarf quest.

How do you discern that from the picture? They always have full invents of food still, or are in the middle of a claw spec.

Shouldnt all these pk pics go in the graveyard forums? I find them all really boring and pointless, seen vertually none that looked like worthy, well faught kills.

Wasn't when i was using some cook bralwers there about a month ago, got pk'd as i was banking.

It shouldn't matter who was making a fuss. It shows that there is a problem (albeit a small one) with the fine rules, a small change to the rules can save alot of hastle in the future.
