  1. Ok, so the staff have been attempting to improve the traffic here in the graveyard. We condensed the category down into a single forum to try and improve the activity, but we don't have too many more ideas for improving further. So this is where you, the users of the graveyard come in. There is nobody who would know how to improve it better than those who would use it and already do use it. We really need you guys to brainstorm some ideas and really show us how we can make your experience here better.
  2. Very good questions there ^ I felt compelled to answer a few but I'll wait until the proper time.
  3. My frosty shield is only +9 :-(
  4. Both of the animation videos were great. On the winner of the animation RSMV, that must have taken an absolute age to print off that many photos.
  5. Yeah, don't forget that almost everything in this game requires luck. You can influence your hero, but in the end he has the control.
  6. "There are two types of fights with other heroes: in field skirmishes and arena duels. Duels on the arena are always voluntary and they cant happen without explicit command from the god. If the hero doesnt drop by on arena for a while, he starts getting into the deadly skirmishes out of boredom, right in the middle of his travels (angrier characters are known to do that more often than their kinder counterparts). Skirmish fights usually end with the death of one of the heroes, but sometimes one of them might flee or both of the heroes may change their mind and settle the dispute peacefully. The lucky winner of the skirmish always gets a load of experience. Winner also gets all losers loot, gold and sometimes a piece of equipment or a golden brick out of the rivals corpse. If the rival was killed, winner also gets a special trophy out of his enemy rivals ear or some other ID, which is very valuable among the traders." I guess you got in a skirmish, or did you actually go to the arena?
  7. I did it again! I forgot my hero was in the arena and he lost. 5/6 now :(
  8. I don't buy this at all. I don't think you're implying that people didn't grind before skill capes came out because that would be silly statement to make, but I also don't agree that they've ruined any part of RuneScape. If anything, it has given players a pretty cool reward for working hard at a certain skill, which makes the game more enjoyable. Also, the first article is the first article I've thoroughly enjoyed from the Times in awhile. Perhaps because it was some actual journalism instead of someone's day dreams about RuneScape's past conjured up while they were afk-ing a skill. Good job Ts. There are two facts to make. Before skill capes, the two majority reasons for doing a skill would be for money or for fun. post-skill capes, the reasons for doing so also include doing the skill for the cape. Money was often the deciding factor, as if a skill didn't make money, people would not train it, thus making the item produced go up in price, making the skill profitable again. It formed a balance. But with skill capes, that balance was thrown out. People not making money would stop, but they would be replaced by those who just want a cape. You could then say that the money making was still not fun, but now that the skilling makes less money, people have to make money else-were which takes up the time they could have used to have fun. Basically, in modern RS, to skill you need money, to make money you need to skill. An endless cycle. In older RS, you could skill to make money, they do random things such as mini-games and quests.(which at the time didn't HAVE to make money or skilling easier to be popular) Now this is a generalisation and there will be exceptions, but for a general rules it is truth. Skillcapes drove the money out of skilling which drove the fun out of runescape.
  9. 1.5 - Naming Names Naming people or their characters in a negative light is not permitted. That person is not able to defend themselves or their actions and what seems like an inappropriate action (which can often be a simple misunderstanding) can lead to a negative reaction against that person. If you have been scammed or have heard of someone who was scammed, you must not name names. The reason for this is that many people have posted saying "this person scammed me" when they really did not! The truth is we do not know if the person you say "scammed" you, really scammed you or not. Spreading this around the forums would give a bad reputation to someone who may not even deserve it! If you have any questions, feel free to contact a Tip.It Moderator or Administrator. If you wish to discuss other users, do it in PM and not in public. Images can easily be taken out of context and twisted in the way of those posting them. Do not always trust what others show.
  10. My main feeling on it is that you will struggle to make full constructive posts in a topic in less than 45 seconds. Not counting finding the topic and reading prior posts.
  11. It doesn't make you smart to bring up an old picture, especially after the player in question has already given the explination: But if you do have a problem with Drumgun, as he now has an account here, you can take it up with him as it has no relation to this topic.
  12. The second article needs two words to explain. Skill Capes. They ruined the mentality of Runescape. They started the trend of grinding levels instead of levelling for fun.

I think poll of the week would be better to be honest.
  14. When did that happen? Must have gained around 6 lines of members overnight. We have 11 lines, and top slaves to armok (obove that one) has 10, so we may leapfrog them when it updates too.
  15. Not sure to be honest. I'm not sure to be honest, but I also heard that it's possible to lose a brick doing it too.
  16. Yeah soon we should split the two slaves, then to overtake the other one.
  17. While it is great news that you will finally be able to speak (and organise the bot slaying), it really doesn't need it's own topic. More the sort of thing for a blog or your profile comments. For those reasons I am locking this.
  18. Ah shame man. Didn't you want to heal him or had you run out of charges?
  19. Already completed DA. I brought the original mass effect with the bonus disk for £9.99. Couldn't see what extra in terms of game-play the limited edition had for an extra £14 so was never going to get it.
  20. Yeah my win/lose ratio was appalling (and still is tbh). It's mainly because two of my last arena fights I tried manually instructing my hero using god-voice but he never listened.
  21. Exactly, it was a funny game. While other games at the time were being serious, DN3D had fun.
  22. Was a very good fight. I think the level won it for me.
  23. One heal each, deal. (All I could afford)
  24. The chances of us both going to the arena at the same time then finding each other, one in a few thousand surely? P.s I will win
  25. Earth you are going down!
