  1. What I suspect is that certain accounts were 'infected' earlier today before Jagex closed the kingdoms. They have probably fixed the bug from 'infecting' anybody else, but have no realistic way of removing resources from those who have already been infected. So once those people take their resources, their accounts will probably be back to normal. That is all total guess work however but it is the only way i can rationalise their actions.
  2. I don't get why Jagex allowed people to gather resources again with the bug still there. Seems incredibly counter-productive to me. The only thing i can think is that they somehow know it will only be a large collection a single time, so they are just letting people do it to get it out of the system.
  3. What are the cape and amulet?
  4. I don't think there will be. It was isolated and stopped fairly fast and because of its obscurity and time of day, I doubt it was abused by as many as other glitches have been before.
  5. Indeed, there was apparently a bug with him so it seems they have stopped people accessing him while it is fixed.
  6. Uhh.. what? A massive bug with mtk, advisor ghrim has been completely locked off. If you try to talk to him you get the "nothing interesting happens" message. Even with npc contact. Glad they have got on top of it fast. Something like that I doubt QA team are asked to test. I would take a wild guess at it being caused by clues being available from MTK having broken something?
  7. It is in hide tags so nobody should have any problems with it as long as it is clearly labelled.
  8. Good Luck!
  9. Welcome one and al to the extravaganza of the Tip.It funfair festival of festivities!
  10. I wouldn't expect much to happen decision wise until SD comes out and the admins could see the interest levels in the game.
  11. Yeah, don't get your hopes up. They said they've guaranteed a drop by adding a bunch of new common unique rewards, like god arrows teletabs biscuts etc. In other words more junk like firelighters. Totally stackable prayer and health restore? Teleports to harder to reach areas? God related elements (could be used extensively in future quests/monsters)? Junk? Great ideas I think. Especially as they will now be fairly common. The most useful stackable energy and food have come in the form of summoning scrolls, unless you're all out to burn your cash for other niche purposes, so the new biscuits are of barely any common use. Teleporting scolls may be useful or not; if you're an avid clue solver you can keep a stack of those for your own TT use, but if you SUDDENLY need to teleport to those places I don't think yo can get them off the GE instantly. God related elements is just extra magic damage in addition to your ranged damage, the "colours" are just there for show. We don't exactly have a proper elemental system, besides that one-time ice strykewyrm update. Well biscuits appear to be untradeable so maybe they are fairly junk worthy. But for an avid clue solver who will probably stack up a lot of them they may be able to come in useful.
  12. They would probably be those prices or higher if we had free trade. The only difference is that now the prices will take longer to stabilise and lower(or higher depending on rarity) that they would with free trade. But unless you are inexperienced with trading, buying on day 1 of an update is a no-no anyway.
  13. Unless they're fairly common, I don't really see these being used. Although it seems like the ranged str will max at 60  The special attacks of the bows sound rather good however, and the bows have a ranged bonus of +80, +11 over a basic MSB (I think) Saradomin bow Restorative Shot Deals damage to your opponent and then heals you for twice the amount of damage that you dealt in that attack. You gain this health over a period of time, rather than in one go. Guthix bow Balanced Shot Deals x1.5 damage to your opponent and then heals you for an amount of life points equal to x1 the damage you would have dealt. You gain this health over a period of time, rather than in one go. Zamorak bow Twin Shot Double the amount of damage is done to your opponent. They sound like great weapons for mid level players and good weapons to use for specials when training ranged.

  15. Exactly my feelings. They dont need my e-mail so they can keep the bank space. As for updates. I was already expected this but I doubt I will go out my way to get an elite scroll. Nice enough for others though. Why are people so paranoid about giving Jagex their e-mail? They have had mine since they started asking for it in security purposes.
  16. What page did you get that from? Do we know the stats of the other god blessed dragonhide? Still the same as black dragonhide? To be honest however, if anybody expected the items to beat current items stat wise, disappointment is their own fault. Minimal amounts of previous T trail items have had good stats and those have usually been ultra rare items.
  17. To those who have the best gear i agree most bosses are profitable whatever, but those who have little money and are forced to use gear which isn't the best, there are many bosses which are no longer profitable, kq, kbd, even GWD bosses could be unprofitable for many if they don't have good gear. There are plenty of bosses, but that is the whole essence of this thread, there are very few bosses which you won't get crashed at by those who can still make profit who use the best gear. And unless you merchant or boss hunt, there really are no realistic ways that a play will get the money to buy the gear to compete for bosses with. That is my whole argument for instancing all bosses, making gear cheaper for all people.
  18. I would highly expect network issues are totally out of their control. Send a complaint to whatever service provider they use or wherever their servers are hosted from.
  19. I'm not clear of your reasoning here. Why don't the newcomers just train for the same stats I have and then crash me? I'd be fine with that if they knew what they were doing and had better equipment. To get the better equipment you need to boss hunt, to boss hunt you need better equipment etc. That is what i think strilmus is talking about. Those who just start have no hope of competing because to compete, you need to have already competed. It means that new players cannot get started, and that the only time new players will be able to join in is when the boss has been bled dry and is no longer profitable.
  20. We mods have no ability to do anything about it. But we have viewed it. I would just wait for one of the tech admins to reply.
  21. I still say that instanced bosses would be much better. As I have said before, the money Mh'ing can make is incredibly disproportional to non MH'ing methods. This is due to various reasons, but one of the main reasons is the incredibly large price of many items. When some people have to spend hours cutting a tree for logs worth 300gp, somebody else can get a drop worth 70m They may have put in more effort, but the proportion is nowhere near even. They haven't put in 300x more effort by far. Instancing boss monsters would allow many more to access the higher profits, lower the profits allowing non MH'ing to become a viable way of playing the game and would just be more fun for the majority. I see no negatives.
  22. The first one from the article is definitely my favourite. It makes me think about just who has walked the steps we all take during our days. It applies the old saying of 'if the walls had eyes what stories would they tell?' As a comment on the article said, it is as good as inventing a new genre. I would personally love to see this for places which I know much better.
  23. They look like quotes from the original post made last week.
  24. I am a little to, but it is out of my control so it doesn't bother me too much, but that is me personally. I assure you however, that there are a few users here who do just assume Jagex are idiots unfortunately.
  25. What time in the day do updates come out? Assuming based on this it's early morning, but do they always do it around a specific time? For me it's usually between 11 pm and 4 am new zealand time. Converted to london/jagex time, 12 pm - 5 pm. I know it's not cool to rant and all guys, but honestly one stuff up is ok, it's human error, understandable. 2nd time is ok, not funny, but we'll get over it and hope for tomorrow as 'aimed for'. The 3rd time is ok, really not funny now, you're joking right? and wtf is going on material. I think people have a right to be let down after three delays :( I'm hoping it will even come out at this rate. I agree feeling let down is a normal thing to be, even being a bit annoyed. I do hope however that people understand why there are delays and don't instantly think Jagex are idiots. I hope people understand that software is a fickle and sometimes random feeling thing. Rest assured though, that the best people are on the job of getting it fixed. I doubt there are any other people who know the games code and inner workings anywhere near as well, so there really is nobody better to get the update out.
