  1. Gerhard called Free Realms "insipid" not "inspired," and criticized Sony for trying to appeal to everyone, but ultimately appealing to nobody. Big difference. Jagex the game that has years gaps in between high level content is one to talk. #-o What exactly is the connection between high lvl content and not catering to 6-year olds...? And are you kidding me?! We're getting atleast one high lvl update a month now! The next update is elite TT ffs. Agreed. Remember that various people just like to bag on Jagex like this for anything no matter how off topic it is, tip is to just ignore them. As said previously, with hindsight they could make a fantasy MMO much much better than Runescape.
  2. If you look at their explanation, it looks as if the problem they are taking a week to fix will actually stop a lot of the bugs and graphical glitches many people moan about. I think it is worth waiting an extra week for that.
  3. Are you [bleep]ing thick or what? I need to know what's going on with bots because bots actually impact my game whether I bot or not. I need to know what Jagex is doing to crack down/be lenient towards bots, because prices rise/fall accordingly. I know how to share my account, does that mean I am an account sharer? I know how to abuse bugs, does that mean I am a bug abuser? Don't feed the trolls Bit of an overreaction there bladewing, really no need to be so defensive. I have to agree, I don't doubt there are a fair amount of users here who do commonly use bots.
  4. I can easily see the benefits of making a third game. As he says, with hindsight so many things in Runescape would have been different but now cannot be changed due to the sheer amount of rants and community upheaval that would have to happen. Runescape cannot have major changes to the underlying mechanics now. It has been out for too long and has to many devoted players for it to happen. but with a third, they could finally make changes people want but would not accept if put into Runescape.
  5. Jagex are a company and want to expand, i see no problem in them doing so. They may just want the challenge of turning a failing game around.
  6. Can people please remember to take a deep breath and think before posting. If you have nothing good to say, please don't say anything.
  7. The only reason i could never get into Splinter cell was the 3 green lights on his night vision goggles. It would surely be impossible to hide in the dark with those so I just couldn't believe the game.
  8. Because it is a very large achievement in gaming terms? And if you read, Jagex didn't even say it, it was the article writer who did. That is often the case too. I see no problem with him preferring his own game to another one, why should anybody?
  9. I was about to post 'I am getting around 360KB/s peak' But then I looked back at steam all of a sudden it had dropped right down;
  10. I can beat that with a constant DL speed of 975 bytes/s earlier. Currently its wavering around the 20KB/s. For those who have managed to download it, is it any good?
  11. Even changing location I can't seem to get it to download. <_<
  12. I am trying that as you posted. Hopefully not many downloaders from Africa.
  13. My download seems to have broken.
  14. Steam says it should be available in 1 hour. I'm going to give it a go, it looks very different. Would anybody want to have a TIF co-op game as a first play when it comes online? (Thinks of the lols while we try to figure out the controls) EDIT: Downloading it now.
  15. I highly doubt Racheya saying she is a tip.it writer was meant to intimidate. It shows that she has to write and what she does choose to write is up to her. If you wish to brag about your questing you are free to write your own article to fill the space. Until then I would hope you have enough brains to respect somebodies opinion of an online game. It is an opinion that has been backed up by feeling towards something, which is all that needs to be done. I'm not sure why you seem to find it so offensive, but you have yet to discuss why you are so strongly against her argument apart from Racheya herself and how she writes.
  16. And all the other monsters and all the other resources and basically the whole update. I guess i can see where you expected more.
  17. The graphics and controls would be totally different on the PC. You can use strategy much more effectively and the camera can be moved.
  18. How are people saying skilling was always bad for money? Fletching and cooking were at one time great ways to make money. Woodcutting and fishing were stable middle ground money making with slight exp, but are now way out of proportion with almost all other money making, with little exp with little profit which means bots have made the skills almost obsolete. Saying skilling was never good for making money is wrong, Mh'ing has just had its profit increased so much skilling now makes pennies compared.
  19. I don't think you can say Tip.it glorifies bots at all. It seems that there are maybe one or two people here saying good things. That is not tip.it. The trade limits did stop bots for a time. Three years of having a fairly limited bot population or at least one that didn't ave to much of an effect seems like a good move.
  20. well it seems activision was too stupid to make the better choice <_< Ok srsly if you are a company which game would you prefer ? And just to mention - all you basically should care is just income. A company the size of Activision would not have had to choose one or the other. They would have gone for both of them if they wanted. They both would have been individual itrms for them, with bare links.
  21. If it was activision we would have microtransactions by now in RS.
  22. Oh come on now your blaming Jagex for botters? Almost all MMO's on the market has botters or will have them if it becomes successful, there is almost nothing developers can do to stop this completely. This discussion has gone way off topic however. Lets get back on topic of the effect botters has on the game, not what is and isn't illegal as I doubt any of us have law degrees so nothing definite could be said.
  23. both EA and activision have a reputation for sucking games dry for all they have so I am glad that they didn't get involved in Runescape. I think if either had done, the massive changes to the game in 07' would never have happened as they wouldn't have the guts to make the change.
  24. Dragon age:Origins and the sequel/expansion would be good games to get. I also suggest getting steam and basically any source game you can get hold of, I have yet to find a bad game off that engine. I'm thinking of buying Oblivion for the 360, but would it be better to spend about £10 on the platinum edition or £30 on the game of the year edition which includes two expansions?
  25. With trees as far as I know when somebody gets a log, there is a set % chance the tree will fall, thus the more people are cutting it the faster it will fall as there are more rolls of this chance.
