I think I only agree on the video game part, and t.v.. There's tons of good movies out today, and the same goes for music. You just have to know where to look. Let me ask you a question. How many great movies from the 80s can you name? I bet there's more great movies you've seen the past five years than you've seen from the 60s, 70s and 80s combined. Same goes for music. I've got to admit that it's less good (in my recent top 100 there were only three movies from the period 2000 till now), but it's really not that bad as you want us to believe, Rob. :)

I think you mean Islam. Yea, that's the case with most Muslims, isn't it.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds It began when they come took me from my home And put me in Dead Row, Of which I am nearly wholly innocent, you know. And I'll say it again I..am..not..afraid..to..die. I began to warm and chill To objects and their fields, A ragged cup, a twisted mop The face of Jesus in my soup Those sinister dinner meals The meal trolley's wicked wheels A hooked bone rising from my food All things either good or ungood. And the mercy seat is waiting And I think my head is burning And in a way I'm yearning To be done with all this measuring of truth. An eye for an eye A tooth for a tooth And anyway I told the truth And I'm not afraid to die. Interpret signs and catalogue A blackened tooth, a scarlet fog. The walls are bad. Black. Bottom kind. They are sick breath at my hind They are sick breath at my hind They are sick breath at my hind They are sick breath gathering at my hind I hear stories from the chamber How Christ was born into a manger And like some ragged stranger Died upon the cross And might I say it seems so fitting in its way He was a carpenter by trade Or at least that's what I'm told Like my good hand I tatooed E.V.I.L. across it's brother's fist That filthy five! They did nothing to challenge or resist. In Heaven His throne is made of gold The ark of his Testament is stowed A throne from which I'm told All history does unfold. Down here it's made of wood and wire And my body is on fire And God is never far away. Into the mercy seat I climb My head is shaved, my head is wired And like a moth that tries To enter the bright eye I go shuffling out of life Just to hide in death awhile And anyway I never lied. My kill-hand is called E.V.I.L. Wears a wedding band that's G.O.O.D. `Tis a long-suffering shackle Collaring all that rebel blood. And the mercy seat is waiting And I think my head is burning And in a way I'm yearning To be done with all this measuring of truth. An eye for an eye And a tooth for a tooth And anyway I told the truth And I'm not afraid to die. And the mercy seat is burning And I think my head is glowing And in a way I'm hoping To be done with all this weighing up of truth. An eye for an eye And a tooth for a tooth And I've got nothing left to lose And I'm not afraid to die. And the mercy seat is glowing And I think my head is smoking And in a way I'm hoping To be done with all this looks of disbelief. An eye for an eye And a tooth for a tooth And anyway there was no proof Nor a motive why. And the mercy seat is smoking And I think my head is melting And in a way I'm helping To be done with all this twisted of the truth. A lie for a lie And a truth for a truth And I've got nothing left to lose And I'm not afraid to die. And the mercy seat is melting And I think my blood is boiling And in a way I'm spoiling All the fun with all this truth and consequence. An eye for an eye And a truth for a truth And anyway I told the truth And I'm not afraid to die. And the mercy seat is waiting And I think my head is burning And in a way I'm yearning To be done with all this measuring of proof. A life for a life And a truth for a truth And anyway there was no proof But I'm not afraid to tell a lie. And the mercy seat is waiting And I think my head is burning And in a way I'm yearning To be done with all this measuring of truth. An eye for an eye And a truth for a truth And anyway I told the truth But I'm afraid I told a lie. Also covered by Johnny Cash.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Abattoir Blues The sun is high up in the sky and I'm in my car Drifting down into the abattoir Do you see what I see, dear? The air grows heavy. I listen to your breath Entwined together in this culture of death Do you see what I see, dear? Slide on over here, let me give you a squeeze To avert this unholy evolutionary trajectory Can you hear what I hear, babe? Does it make you feel afraid? Everything's dissolving, babe, according to plan The sky is on fire, the dead are heaped across the land I went to bed last night and my moral code got jammed I woke up this morning with a Frappucino in my hand I kissed you once. I kissed you again My heart it tumbled like the stock exchange Do you feel what I feel, dear? Mass extinction, darling, hypocrisy These things are not good for me Do you see what I see, dear? The line the God throws down to you and me Makes a pleasing geometry Shall we leave this place now, dear? Is there someway out of here? I wake with the sparrows and I hurry off to work The need for validation, babe, gone completely berserk I wanted to be your Superman but I turned out such a jerk I got the abattoir blues I got the abattoir blues I got the abattoir blues Right down to my shoes Yea, I'm that friend you have that has got into a Nick Cave obsession. You know, those who are so annoying because they keep raving on about Nick Cave. Very annoying, but you don't really want to hurt their feelings and tell them to shut the * up.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - There she goes, my beautiful world The wintergreen, the juniper The cornflower and the chicory All the words you said to me Still vibrating in the air The elm, the ash and the linden tree The dark and deep, enchanted sea The trembling moon and the stars unfurled There she goes, my beautiful world There she goes, my beautiful world There she goes, my beautiful world There she goes, my beautiful world There she goes again John Willmot penned his poetry riddled with the pox Nabakov wrote on index cards, at a lectem, in his socks St. John of the Cross did his best stuff imprisoned in a box And JohnnyThunders was half alive when he wrote Chinese Rocks Well, me, I'm lying here, with nothing in my ears Me, I'm lying here, with nothing in my ears Me, I'm lying here, for what seems years I'm just lying on my bed with nothing in my head Send that stuff on down to me Send that stuff on down to me Send that stuff on down to me Send that stuff on down to me There she goes, my beautiful world There she goes, my beautiful world There she goes, my beautiful world There she goes again Karl Marx squeezed his carbuncles while writing Das Kapital And Gaugin, he buggered off, man, and went all tropical While Philip Larkin stuck it out in a library in Hull And Dylan Thomas died drunk in St. Vincent's hospital I will kneel at your feet I will lie at your door I will rock you to sleep I will roll on the floor And I'll ask for nothing Nothing in this life I'll ask for nothing Give me ever-lasting life I just want to move the world I just want to move the world I just want to move the world I just want to move There she goes, my beautiful world There she goes, my beautiful world There she goes, my beautiful world There she goes again So if you got a trumpet, get on your feet, brother, and blow it If you've got a field, that don't yield, well get up and hoe it I look at you and you look at me and deep in our hearts know it That you weren't much of a muse, but then I weren't much of a poet I will be your slave I will peel you grapes Up on your pedestal With your ivory and apes With your book of ideas With your alchemy O Come on Send that stuff on down to me Send that stuff on down to me Send that stuff on down to me Send that stuff on down to me Send that stuff on down to me Send it all around the world Cause here she comes, my beautiful girl There she goes, my beautiful world There she goes, my beautiful world There she goes, my beautiful world There she goes again

What are you going to do with this information by the way?

I got Pitfall and the Face of Another already on Masters of Cinema, but I haven't got Woman of the Dunes and the extras are really good; documentary and previously unreleased short movies. And the price for the Pre-Order was quite good. Also on pre-order. 8-)

Haha, what the hell is that? :D

It was more aimed at Intriguin than you, but since you reply. Sure there are some talented rappers on that list. But that doesn't make it an interesting list for someone who isn't looking for mainstream rappers. If you watch MTV for a day you've heard them all. That's all. Why not advise something more 'exotic'. Everybody knows this stuff. Check out The High & Might (They do something with Cage under the name of Smut Peddlers as well) too. Copywrite is also wroth checking out, same goes for Papoose who is releasing his first album in August or something. Also check out Edan - Beauty and the Beat.
-
It's all 'mainstream' though.

Werckmeister HarmÃÆÃâÃâóniÃÆÃâÃâák There are a lot of other good ones, but none of them can compete with this one. In my eyes.

Yesterday after the extremely cool concert. 8-)

44 in Europe. Some shoes 43 others 45. Big feet isn't really something to be proud of though. :P A friend of mine had size 52 (europe) and he couldn't get shoes anywhere. :')

Yea, sometimes I read them. Most of the time I skip it though. Too pretentious. Their yearlists are interesting to have a look at though. Couldn't you just put the link in the topic. Instead of telling people to google. http://pitchforkmedia.com/ What do you want us to say by the way?

And we all know there's a war coming, coming from above! Get this albums guys, if you haven't already. You're missing out.

Guys, laugh please. I made a joke. I don't really know when you're an adult. I'd say something like when you're able to take care of your own business. Spread your wings, that kind of stuff. But then again, I consider myself and adult, and I still live with my parents. Hm, I don't know.

Since when are Bottle Rockets illegal fireworks? :D I'm going to work, and read something about the course I'm going to follow in february.

So I got it a few days ago, and I've been playing it again. And it's really good, but I already knew that. Best track of the album in my eyes is I Know It's Over together with Never had no one ever, which are a bit overlooked trough tracks as There's a Light that never goes out and Bigmouth strikes again. Noone else interested here?
