  1. Yea, I really like there music. It was something I never heard before. I got into them via the movie "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou", they make a part of music in it. I really liked that so I bought their latest album "Takk", it's very good. I wouldn't really call it calm, it's pretty heavy music I think, not something you put on while driving the car or something, but that's the way the music gets over to me of course. :) And, their leadsinger is homosexual and blind on one eye, so that makes them extra hip.
  2. Well, no. Not really to be honest. I read that line just as easy as I read any other line. :?
  3. Congratulations, have a good day!
  4. I don't really see what's wrong with typing like that. Admitted, it makes you sound less 'intelligent' for what it has got to do with intelligence. But honestly, TS, do you need to read that three times before you can understand what he says?
  5. Don't really care much about it anymore. I used to, pay fortunes for all these kinky colourd shirts and so. But now I just wear a baggy jeans or someting else that's casual, or sweatpants. And when I need to work or do normal stuff I just wear a plain white t-shirt. When I go out I put on a 'fancy' shirt with a nice colour and some print made by a way too rich designer.
  6. I try to do best, but I'm not from England/America/Canada/ or whatever, so I have a valid excuse.

    saw 2

I'll probably buy it. Not because I thought it was very good or something, but I already have part one on DVD, so.
  8. Just buy it. :P You can't go wrong with it and it's not that surprising that they don't have late 40's noir at blockbuster. :P Anyway, Raging Bull - Recentely saw it, but friends droped by and they wanted to see it. So I had to see it. Still my favorite Scorsese picture. Just great. 9/10 Casablanca - We'll always have Paris. <3. 9/10 And a part of Kohayagawa-ke no aki which I'm going to finish later today.
  9. Heh, I'm collecting for 1.5 year now. Besides I don't need to pay much per month, insurance is low, and the only other thing I do is buy DVD's and go out. :P
  10. At some moments you see those yellow frogs you can still click them and see the pictures! Well, finally got my mates camera. I think it's a bit of a crap camera, it's very sensitive and it takes like 15 seconds to take a picture, in that time you can't shake or your photo will get bad. >.> For some reason Imageshack doesn't work, so I have to do it on my own boomspeed thingy, but that means no thumbnails. Overview of my collection Picture of a mysterious case and my Alienhead (Japan version, not the crappy European version without the Kubrick) Too bad it's such a crap quality picture. Picture of my Spielberg L.E.'s and Dogville French Edition L.E. (mirrorpack) A Picture of the Dogville Mirrorpack which you can't really see in the picture above. A Picture of my four Futurama seasons and some of the better looking digipacks. My four CDA sets of Gone with the wind, Casablanca, Blade Runner and The Matrix. A pic of the conent of a CDA Box will follow later in this post. Here's a row with some movies. Kind of vague too, this camera really sucks >.> Another row of movies. This picture is better quality, this is of the bottom two rows in the big white cabinet. You can see the Ultimate Matrix Collection and next to that the Roman Polanski box, together with the Luchino Visctonti and Star Wars Box they're the best from those rows. Here's a picture of the cute Sonny. He follows you with his eyes, I found that freaky so I placed his eyes out of my sight. This is my Chinese version of the House of Flying Daggers. It's housed in a wooden box with some foam and red material. It also includes a dagger and a book containing the DVD's. Dances with Wolves L.E., Spiderman 2 Giftpack and Band of Brothers tin case. Kill Bill Vol. 2 Giftpack and Hellboy L.E. (Contains some scriblings and a bust) Here's a picture of my Universal Monster Collection, containst about 16 movies or something and three busts, one of Frankenstein, one of Wolfman and one of Dracula. Kind of vague picture as well. I tried taking pictures of the Benno cabinet (the left one), but that wasn't doable, too vague. So instead I made some content pictures of a few sets. The Mysterious case next to the Alienhead is actually a Matrix Attache Case, containing the Matrix, promotion DVD of the old Matrix game and a Soundtrack CD of the Matrix. It also contains the oficial Neo shades. It's numbered and limited to 5000 and used as promotion matterial for the Matrix. Here's a picture of my Casablanca CDA set. The box contains a 2-disc Digipack edition of the movie. The lobbycards, exclusive black and white photos, a senitype and a big poster of the movie. The Blade Runner is a bit different to the Casablanca, Matrix and Gone with the Wind. Instead of the Black and White pics it contains a script book. Here is a picture of my E.T. Ultimate Giftset. It's a four disc (three DVD's + one soundtrack) set, it also houses a senitype, certificate of authenticy (sp?) and a hardcover script book that also has got a lot of photos. And last, but not least, my uber1337 Mr. Wilson ball. :P In total there's about 15 DVD's missing because friends and family borrowed a few. Bah, you can't see the thumbnails. But you can click them, then you still get to see the pictures.
  11. Took the album home with me tonight, gonna listen to it in like 15 minutes, after the penalty shoot-out at the African Cup final.
  12. That's why watching movies on the computer sucks. You're disctracted all the time, getting in at 40 minutes isn't really a thing you should do with 2001:ASO either. Just take your time, watch the movie from start till end. It's really worth it.
  13. Heh, I was a bit younger when I saw that first. Hence me being confused a bit. :P I can see why the the first five minutes of 2001: ASO bored you, Rick. The first five minutes is black screen with music. :P i admitt, it's a bit slow, but when you take your time to watch it. It's so great.
  14. White Noise - Not very good. At some moments it was kind of 'freaky' and tension nicely brought. The characters weren't very good, we hardly get any insight on Keaton's reaction to the death of his wife, so we can't really understand why he's doing what he's doing. Of course, we know why he's doing it, but we can't really go along with him. And there are more little things that make no sense in the movie, but the end did it. It was really horrible, it really made a rather 'decent' movie a bad movie. Too bad, it could've been a lot better. 4/10
  15. Face/Off Hook Revenge of the Nerds Mars Attacks Space Jam Star Wars original trilogie Indiana Jones trilogie Rockie (1,2,3,4) Back to the Future to name a few. And of course the naked gun series and the amazing SPY HARD!
  16. Think this belongs in Off Topic, since it's a sport event, and not a t.v. event. Anyway, I'll be watching some of the Dutch sports (Ice Skating ftw). Not gonna see everything though. Where is it held anyway? Lol.
  17. Brokeback Mountain - I didn't really like it. Jake Gylenhaal was really bad, I didn't like him at all this time. The story itself is pretty simple and didn't really do anything to me. The whole homosexual element seemed to be floating around in nothingness, and more put in to give some shock value to the American viewer than something else, at least, that's what it looked like to me. It was a bit flat. It was nicely shot, and had a great soundtrack that reminded me of the soundtrack used in "The Motorcycle Diaries" (later I saw that it was done by the same man). All in all it wasn't that great, but it probably will go in the books as one of the movies that changed Hollywood. 6.5/10 Forrest Gump - Well, finally seen it. It was quite nice, a voyage trough history with Forrest. 7.5/10 Oh, before Brokeback Mountain I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey - Which is my favorite Kubrick and one of the best movies ever made, IMO. Friend never saw it so I had him to watch it. 10/10
  18. First person can work very good. I don't know how much it is used in this movie, but in movies like The Untouchables or Cacḫ̩̉̉. Can be a great tension maker, don't know how it is used in Doom though. [edit] I read over the "the" movie. Sorry 30 minutes till Brokeback Mountain!
  19. Haven't seen the movie, from what I've heard it's just average. I'll prolly see it when it comes out on DVD here in Holland, can take it home to see it from work, I'm not planning to spend money on seeing it. :P
  20. Leef! - Yesterdaynight in our small and cosey one-hall theater. It's a Dutch movie made by Willem van de Sande Bakhuyzen. He died a few weeks before the premiere of his movie, really sad because he was a great director and ironic because the title of his movie means Live! (as in life). Anyway, it was a great, great, great movie. A rollercoaster of emotions, great and real characters. Great script, amazing montage, great acting. Maybe the only thing that you could consider less good is that there might be too much happening in the movie. If you can get it (with subtitles of course) see it, you'll like it! 8.5/10 Too bad there was some woman thee club behind me and my mate, they were laughing out loud and talking ALL THE TIME! It was really anoying, they shouldn't allow that scum in theaters. :@ Twelve Monkeys - Saw this one in bed, without stupid ladies. Seen it before a few times, but it's still a bit confusing. Good movie, especially the camerawork. I'm tagging along with IMDB. 8/10
  21. Why are the Beatles so great live? To be honest, their set-up seems to be rather dull. Not to mention they toured for what? 2 years? After that they became a studio band. I'd love to see Robbie Williams live, someday. Missed this years ticket sale, maybe next year. :) His live DVD's are really good. I want to see the real thing.
  22. Well, you post as much as you want. You probably won't get much further than four topics. And to be honest, this moron doesn't care anymore; you go ahead!
  23. The guitar solo from Paranoid Android is great as well.
  24. You made that post a few days earlier. The last reply here was only 6 days ago. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=390651 Why do you post it again?
  25. Sweet, didn't you have a pretty big collection? I could be mistaken you for somebody else though.
