Young guitarists also want sex, Matt. :P

Ah well, don't live in Canada, so. It's ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì4.60 ($5,54) for a pack of Chesterfields (25) here in Holland (atleast, last packages I had it was, probably went up since the new year). I always thought it was very common to raise tax on sigarettes etc. during new year, I don't see why Canada is so special. Runesmithie, a carton is 10 packs of sigarettes (Atleast, Marlborro and Lucky Strike packages are). :P

Screamo/Emo for little girls?
How2PK replied to Fromfirst2Last1987's topic in Music, Movies & Television
God, I am getting sick of this discussion. It never really gets anywhere. We've got the 'hardcore' cool people who are riduculing and flaming the Emo genre so they feel better, or something (I honestly can't find anohter reason for the hate). The emo's defend themselves and then the 'hardcore' people twist and turn and ignore every post with some content made by an 'emo'. Of course the party isn't complete without the "ooh, I play the guitar for two months now and they suckkk!!!111" people. -
Not really a great list. Haven't heard too much from it to be honest, so I could be completelty wrong of course, but there seems to be somekind of lack of 'rock history' in that list.

NO! i hear there's homos in it! btw bad year for movies, very bad and sad year. So what? And 2005 was a very good year, I got a top 10 list somewhere, but that's a bit outdated I'll post something later. I haven't seen that much new movies, I think out of the list from cinema.nl (344 movies) I've seen about 71 now. Top 10: 1. Cacḫ̩̉̉ (Michael Haneke) 2. L'Enfant (Jean-Pierre Dardenne and Luc Dardenne} 3. The Constant Gardener (Fernando Meirelles) 4. Guernsey (Nanouk Leopold) 5. King Kong (Peter Jackson) 6. Sin City (Robert Rodriguez) 7. Manderlay (Lars von Trier) 8. Match Point (Woody Allen) 9. Broken Flowers (Jim Jarmusch 10. Last Days (Gus van Sant) Needs a mention: Shooting Dogs - Not in the list because it doesn't get a proper at all and a limited release in march 2006. A very good movie, better than Hotel Rwanda, if you're in Europe, a must see. One of 2005's best. Most funny, powerful, action packed etc. movies of 2005 in my opinion (this is a new list btw). Worst 5: Be Cool (F. Gary Gray) Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo (Mike Bigelow) Casanova (Lasse Hallstr̮̦̉̉m) A Sound of Thunder (Peter Hyams) Son of the Mask (Lawrence Guterman) Oh, type out what you've seen BTW. I'm curious what kind of movies your theater plays and what you've seen. Does your theater have a website? Oh, I'm also curious why you though Lord of War and A History of Violence were that bad.

What does this area has to be like? Can it be a relationship as well, or just like person A's favorite tree of the street gets removed, person A gets in a very deep depression, three months later person A commits suicide because his favorite tree has been removed? Or do you want an example of how the scenery is expressing the mood of the protagonist, or?

CachÃÆÃâÃâé - At ze Dutch premiere. Amazing, amazing amazing. Perfect, brrr, this was so good. Scenery, acting, no music; it was so frightingly real. Got the chance? Go see it IN CINEMA! Can't get anybody with you? GO ALONE, it's not a movie where you'll see a lot of pop-corn audience. Don't watch it if you're bad with blood or something, it has got two scenes with blood that are pretty 'rough', one specially (and that was 'rough for my standards, not saw rough). Takes a little bit of patience though, especially in the beginning. 9/10. Missed a few I've seen the lat few days because I was at my grandma's house. Here's the complete list with ratings of the first month of 2006. 1. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005 - Tim Burton) first viewing 8.5 2. King Kong (2005 - Peter Jackson) first viewing 8. 3. Too bad you didn't like Seven Samurai, Indy. I loved it, ranked #2 on my list. The plot was really great, it may be simple now, but it was revolutionary at it's time. It set the standard for a lot of action movies made after it.

I cant remember anything from equilibrium. The only thing I remember is that the cover said BETTER THAN THE MATRIX. which must say its pretty bad otherwise they wouldnt need to lure the customer that way. I also remeber that I didnt like it all that much. And I know that THE MATRIX is one of my fav. movies. Sorry for bad grammar, Im at grandmas place and she hasnt got a qwerty keybard so I dont know all the keys for commas etc.

20? try 60 pounds. Will come up with a better reply tomorrow. [edit] Don't want to sound 'harsh', but I am 6.7 and I weigh 182 pounds and I am on the 'bigger' size and losing weight. -
I'm loving the first one, but I'm a sucker for that. Second one is good, don't really like the third one, it's okay though. Good work, Nad. :)

Oh, I'd like to mention The Average White Band. They're a great band form the '70's (If I am correct), they're the first (correct me if I am wrong) white (got one maybe two black members) band who got in the whole Motown concept. Deff. worth checking out. :)

 This forum really makes me cry. When the forum opened I hoped for an interesting forum, with topics that went deeper than one line opening posts, and intelligent discussions with people who have an IQ of 70+. With people who really have a passion for movies and music. This thread is yet another example of our failure. We should get some real tight rules about opening posts and 'bashing'. You see, there is nothing wrong with not liking rap music, or w/e genre for that matter, but instead of saying "R4p is t3h suxx!!11" in a topic about Eminem: say why you don't like Eminem, what it is that doesn't appeal to you. Don't randomly yell nonsense.

Hippie! :P It looks quite nice to be honest. I like it. :)

Mothers of Invention (more people should listen to them), Pink Floyd. The rest of that list that got quoted by Rick and Matt. The Beach Boys are worth a mention as well.

Heard a part of their album at work. It's okay, nothing too special or new though. I should take it home to listen to the rest of it.

Can Someone Please Help Me, Identifying this song?
How2PK replied to ClassicNerd's topic in Off-Topic
It's Nelly Furtado with the song "Turn of the Light". :P -
The Constant Gardener (2005 - Fernando Meirelles) - A-MAZ-ING. What a superb movie. It's from the director of "Cidade de Deus", and you can see that as well, in his use of colours and filming (there even is a small reference to Cidade). A perfect combination of zoom and distance shots, very strong acting, and of course the again a strong matter of discussion in this movie. I'd almost say: Perfect. But since nothing is perfect. A real recommendation. If you still got the chance to see this in a small cinema or something (it's out of the big ones, had the last viewing yesterday in a small one: don't think just go. 9/10 I think there's two users who specially need to see this: Bubsa and Matt. I hope they'll get a change to get around. The Boondock Saints (1999 ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Troy Duffy) ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Seen it before, but it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s deff. woth seeing a few times. First time it's just all fun and good entertainment. The second time things are still entertaining, but you pay more attention to the real big question of the movie. I really liked it the first time, and I liked it better the second time. Willem Dafoe is the best btw. :P 8/10
