lol how many of us actually still play RS?
When there are two people fighting there are two people to blame. I don't want to speak for Bubsa, but I think you're making a nasty habbit out of it too (I know you're a good guy though).

=-=Powerful Movies=-=
It's ranked at 23 in my top 100. It indeed is a great movie. I had the pleasure to see it in cinema. After that I bought the three disc edition on DVD. It's a must see. Too bad the Americans are remaking it.

lol how many of us actually still play RS?
On first thought it's actually hilarious that this community can get up with a three page flamecussion on a subject like this. But when you think of it for another five seconds it's actually quite sad that people have nothing better to do (I hope that I can assume this when we are actually doing things like this) and express their boredom in hostility.

Another tip.it user who has seen Oldboy, it's a mirricle, we're getting users with good taste! :P

Haven't seen the original one, haven't seen the remake. I should start seeing more Mel Brooks movies (I know the remake isn't by Brooks). So far I've only seen Dracula Dead and Lovin' it, Robin Hood; Men in tights, History of the world Part I, Spaceballs, Blazing Sadles and Young Frankenstein. :(

Last movies you bought
Bought the 1-disc edition of Cast Away today to go along with my uber1337 Mr. Wilson volleyball. Will probably replace it later with a 2-disc edition for the extras. Ah well, it was only 4 euro and I wanted to watch it today or tomorrow, renting the movie is 3,50, so it's not that bad of a deal.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Oh, I was actually looking forward to "Grizzly Man". But ah well, you also thought Scorsese was better than Kubrick, so it's probably not that bad. :P Gladiator (extended version) - Pretty good movie, with a pretty good Crowe and a pretty good Crowe. Don't have much to say about it, other than that the music is horrible at some crucial points in the movie. 7.8/10

No, Taxi Driver is Scrosese's best movie. Starring Robert deNiro giving his best preformance ever, and a pretty good 12 year old Jodie Foster (I thought she was 12 during that movie). The movie you mean is Taxi. :)

Movie of the Week selection topic: 22-01-'06 till 29-01-'06
READ THE CENTRAL TOPIC WITH MAIN INFORMATION FIRST! Movie of the week: selection topic. Alright, this is related to the movie of the week topic. In this topic I will mention the three selected movies to vote on. The winner of this weekly ritual will be used as material in the movie of the week topic. So you have one week to vote on the movie you want to see. To vote simply leave the title of the movie you vote on. If you don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t have time to participate in the movie of the week topic: Leave a message here and I will remove your vote from the list. This way we will have fair votes and we won̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t end up with a few people who want to participate looking a movie they rather don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t see. I will make the first selection, of THREE movies. After that I will handpick somebody who can make a selection for the next two weeks. After that that person will handpick somebody. You have to handpick somebody else than the person who picked you. So you can̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t do like: How2PK picks Indy500Fan Indy500Fan picks How2PK This is a way I want to test. If this does not work properly we will have to change this handpicking to a selection of users who know what they are talking about, they will do the selecting weekly, and after that we vote. A few more selection rules Not everything is directly available to everyone, so let̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s try and keep that in mind while we are selecting our movies. So, if you want try a movie that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s older than 1999, try and find something that is a bit well known and relatively easy to get, instead of an obscure Zimbabwean silent, black and white movie made in 1870. If you want to choose world cinema, and for example you want to try something Italian: go for something that is a bit well known, so instead of the never on DVD released Il Conformista, go for something like La Dolce Vita. Of course you won̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t find these movies at Blockbuster either, but they are easy to find in shops, and are also easily ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâacquired̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢. For questions about the system see [Central] Movie of the week The Selection of week two: Minority Report - Sci Fi Action Oldboy (2003) - Foreign Flick Mulholland Dr. (2001) - What the hell is going on Flick Selecting of this week is done by Indy500Fan. Voting can be done till the 29th of January 2006. :) The man Indy picked for the next selecting week is...drumroll....Merciful!

'Oldschool' Discussion
Of course Radiohead will be remembered just as much as Eminem in four decades. So will some others in that list, but by far not as much as Eminem, I think. Maybe Korn.

The official mile run topic
4:34, that's pretty fast. That would be a world record 40 years ago. :P I think I'd be somewhere between 5 and 6 nowadays.

[Central] Movie of the Week. Starting next week. Read.
Tip.It̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s movie of the week! I came up with this idea the day the M&M forum opened. And the original thread can be found here. The thread is named movie of the WEEK, because that sounds good. But actually we̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve got TWO WEEKS to watch the movie and discuss it, so you can find the right mood to watch the movie or because some of you don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t have that much time to watch a movie once a week, or if you need to go on vacation for a week then you don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t have to miss the thread, you can simply join in the next week. And maybe some of you simply don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t want to watch a movie that certain week. Or any other reason you can think of. Now we all know that let̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s move to the rest of the topic. Every WEEK there will be three movies you can vote on to see the next week. The three movies will be selected by a user that regularly participates in this topic. I will pick a new user every week. And I will start with selecting three movies to get things rolling. THE VOTES ARE OPEN FOR A WEEK AND EVERY SECOND WEEK OF THE ROUND THAT IS GOING ON AT THAT MOMENT A NEW VOTING ROUND WILL START. If you don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t get this, for whatever reason there is. I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll try and explain it with an EXAMPLE. Week 1. Choosing movie. Week 2. Movie is selected, we start watching and discuss. Week 3. Continue watching and discussing, and on the side a new voting round will start. Week 4. Start watching and discussing movie selected from week three. Week 5. Continue watching and discussing, and on the side a new voting round will start. Etc. The movies Not everything is directly available to everyone, so let̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s try and keep that in mind while we are selecting our movies. The point of this thread is to find out, why you find a movie good, to find out why others don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t think the movie you like is that good. And that all done in a somewhat mature, but of course not strictly business, way. So, I don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t think there̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s something wrong when you name somebody an ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâidiot̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ in a somewhat heated and emotional debate, but try to keep it fun. We shall go into several things, from acting to writing and from score to costume design, and everything in between. Topics needed 1. Topic for movie selecting. These will be open for a week. People can cast their votes, however NOT trough the poll system. You need to post in the thread itself, naming the movie you select. This is to not get 100 votes and only 50 people participating in a round with a movie they never wanted. If you selected a movie, and you find out you can̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t participate in the next round, please make a reply saying you don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t have time. This way we can keep things fair and we can withdraw your vote. 2. A new topic for every round where a movie is discussed. These will be locked at the end of every round. This is to prevent the M&M forum getting full of movie of the week topics, and there being no space for other topics on page one. There will be a link to every topic created in this (the thread I am writing now) thread, so you can look things up for later reference. Questions and suggestions This topic will be the general topic, where you can find the main information and to ask questions to clear up things you aren̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t sure about. So if there if there are things you would like to know about the Movie of the Week threads: shoot! Also if there are things that you would like to change; give us the suggestions and we'll see if we can change it! If there are things that aren't clear in this central thread, say it, and I'll change it. Movie of the Week Topics opened: None yet; will start friday 6 Jan. 2006. Movie Selecting Topic. My excuses for things that are capitalized and bolded; I don't want to be rude, but they are things that are important. :) Well..That's it, I guess.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Taxi - The original version. Second time, it was okay, but nothing too good. Maybe I wasn't in the mood or something. Taxi 2 - It was okay, better than the first one IMO. It was a bit more cheesy, but also a lot more fun. Taxi 3 - Got a bit bored after the first two taxi movies, but I was determined to watch this was one. I didn't really like it. It went a bit too far at some points. It sure had one great moment though; the the scene where Petra is having a baby is hillarious. Trainspotting - I liked this one better than I liked it the first time. It's a pretty good drug movie. Nice characters and good acting. A lot of humor, and fortunuatly less drama, from time to time very surrealistic, add a great score to that and you've got a movie. 7.8/10
